Lost Theories
USA Today recently asked obsessive Lost fans to send in their theories about the future of the series, and now many of those submissions are posted on their website.  Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse will eventually be commenting on the best of them, though they promise not to give any spoilers away.

The fan theories include such ideas as the Hanso Foundation building an amusement park, the island being alive, Vincent being a manifestation of Smokey, and Sayid being Ben's partner in crime since the beginning. Head on over to USAToday.com to read everything the fans had to say.

CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT (TPTB) MEANS I KEEP SEEN IT ON MOST OF LOSTS WEBSITE

It means "The Powers That Be," referring to producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

Yeah. TPTB (The Powers That Be) usually refers to the producers, writers, or whoever is in control of the show.

It's often used in a derogatory sense to criticize (usually reality TV) producers for careful editing to manufacture a false storyline or when a show pimps particular contestants to succeed. The former happens in Big Brother a lot. Visit HamsterWatch for the difference between what actually happens vs. what the producers show us on CBS) or when a show pimps particular contestants to succeed. As to the latter, American Idol is the worst perpetrator of this. Visit Vote For The Worst (About Us) Section that has a lovely explanation of the phenomenon.

So it's funny to me to see Darlton referred to as TPTB. I don't consider them at all negative or malicious in their engineering of Lost. They are true geniuses and artists.

Widmore; ancient man "Zeus"
Ben; his son, Loki
Magic: ancient superior (atlantean) technology
The island obviously straddles dimensions and parallel characters can pass through once you've been to the through a portal. Cascading realities paradoxes not withstanding, excellent writing, slow, frustrating (=ad$$) reveals.
Season DVD sets rule.

I've got a theory, there is a split in time and space, the plane really crashed into the sea, but also landed on the island. If you are dead in the 'real word' then you can be killed on the island - or when you get off it. Charlie/Boon etc. but if you survived the crash into the sea then you cannot be killed in the other dimention, Michael, Ben,Sawyer in last night's episode.Alex could be killed because she had never been off the island so had no other 'self. Rouseau may not be dead.
