Lost Easter Eggs
I have seen it.  I have reviewed.  No, I will not give you a copy.   Since the episode has pretty much been entirely spoiled here already,  I'm not going to bother to fill you in on the pieces of minutia that everybody missed elsewhere.  Next Wednesday, suffice to say, I will be publishing the Recap. In the sense of not ruining it for everybody but just spreading the excitement, I've written a nice Spoiler free review for Buddytv.  You can read it by clicking here.

Personally, I consider it less spoilery then some of the reviews I have seen from folks like Jeff Jensen and Kristin.  I really held back because, well, the spoiler reports here pretty much cover it all.

Was it good?  Hell yes.  There are people that are so jaded, who built up so much anticipation for this episode, that they might be let down... just because they have meditated for the worst.  But trust me, Portland is awesome.  Great titling trick,  great plot, awesome little mythos stuff that will keep people glued to the level of the blast door map.  LOTS of great LOST stuff.  I will actively dismiss anybody who doesn't like this episode as a nut case.  It is just that good.

Cheers Iam looking forward toit.

Oh by the way heres Lost Moment 12 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJMdhWmrr5Y

I am so excited! Is that sad?

Hey Doc, I'm taking your word for it.

My expectations for this episode are going through the roof.

Five days. FIVE DAYS!!! OMG.

Hopefully, there are some torrent sites which offer the episode for grabs. I'm downloading one right now! :)

Nate, that's a sucker's move. Prepare for an empty file.

It was a sucker move. The file was empty. But it only took like 45 minutes to download so whatever. I'm still very impressed that no one leaked it.

what i want to know is how docarzt got to see it....

Dusk, you were right :( I might still look for other ones, so long as there are positive comments. At least what I'm going to do is post a negative comment on that site.

I can't believe that for all the people that have it, none have released it!

doc, your article sounds like a sell out. i bet you not only asked for a copy of it, but also signed a confidentiality agreement. Now, you're well on your way to become the newest mouthpeace for ABC. admirable? goodbye originality, goodbye soul, goodbye doc.

hahaha is that sellout guy serious

I find the notion that Doc has sold out ridiculous. And that it's followed by a "death of all that is holy" sentence preposterous. Doc layed it out for y'all to play it out. That is all.

Can't wait to see the film Karl is forced to see broken down frame by frame.

Should be a really good one. If nothing else, I *hope* it's good so that all the "LOST has jumped the shark" people will STFU and not freak out if an episode isn't the best. one. ever.

So, Sell Out?, should we put the Doc in a cage, and then gather 'round him until he yells at us "I did not sell out!", would that make you happy?

I love how you begged for anyone to share it with you before you saw it, but immediately stated that you wouldn't share it once you'd seen it. Typical forum power tripping BS.

I forgot to mention that you are a pathetic loser who gets off on scooping other people and feeling you are uber cool because you got a taste of something that other people can't have.

I bet you are thirtysomething and still living with your parents.

Lame, lame, lame.

Dear sir (CIA codename: sellout, FBI codename: rain), stop projecting your feelings of self-hate of your social status and living situation onto others or I can and will report you to your superiors at the United Fruitcake Foundation.

Here.. have a cupcake.

"Great titling trick"? Juliet takes a job they tell her is in Portland, only to find out it's "Not in Portland" Wow! How did they come up with that remarkable title?

Rain... quite simply I had two choices... say I had it and publish a review, or just say nothing. Once I said I had, there is no way I could give a copy to anyone else. Not that ABC throws much my way in the way of cookies and fudge, but I'm certainly not going to try to find out if there are lower levels of obscurity. As for my living status, my wife is pointing at you and laughing as I type this...

Folks... I'm not selling out. The copy was actually given to me by someone who received it legitimately and I swore on my life not to spread it. So to honor the individual who did that, I pre-empted any requests to place the disk for download etc. Besides. I'm just not going to hurt the show like that. Seriously. The episode is good. One of the best. And yeah, it might be corny, but I liked the titling trick... it was well thought out. Always easy after the work is done to say "meh, so what" but it could have just been something total obvious....

ABC releases these things in order to drum up interest, not to spoil the episode. Can't fault anyone who follows, basically, those rules.

Thanks for helping make the show more fun.

"Can't wait to see the film Karl is forced to see broken down frame by frame."

Yeah apparently it has to do with how man has ruined the planet? BIG SPOILER BELOW.

THE OTHERS ARE

GREENPEACE!

A 1000 voices of a 1000 idiots.
Just Freakin WAIT 2 more days.

Speaking of people that live with their parents... Yo, Rain and others, you sound like my five year old when I tell her she can't have ice cream for breakfast.
Thank you, Doc for, yet another fabulous post. I can't wait to see "Not in Portland." The fact that you speak so highly of it makes me even more eager!!!

Seriously, kids. Calm down. In case you haven't noticed, Doc Arzt is running this site. And, unless you're Doc Arzt, you're actually NOT running this site. Which means, if you ARE Doc Arzt, you can do as you please. That's the beauty of having a site. Leave the man alone.

On another note, I like the way we all hypothesize about how Lost is all about the murky side of human nature, but so many fans seem incapable of displaying even the most rudimentary amount of patience and humility by waiting to see the episode when it actually airs. Doc's got an in because he runs an excellent site. If you want an in, why don't you start your own Lost site? Maybe you'll start getting goodies too.

I mean, I remember back in the 1800s, we had wood-burning tv sets and had to wait for the episodes to come by wagon train.

Robin is right! Look how far television has come from the huffing bellows and clanking chain contraptions of yore!

Man what's with all the whiney little bitches...

Thanks for the review Doc, glad to hear you liked the episode. I'm looking forward to starting Season 3.5 off with a bang :)

Ok, I will apologize. I just didn't care for the tone of the post's first sentence. It was a bit like sticking your tongue out and going "nah nah nah nah nah" at us all. In any event, bygones...

However, to set the record straight, I am not the same person who posted under "sellout." I've only ever posted as Rain which, believe me or don't, is my real first name.

Cheers.
