Because of my random fascination with this voiceover pro, I was greatly amused by The Onion's recent article: Guy Who Says 'Previously on Heroes' Wishes He Was Guy Who Says 'Previously on Lost'
Check it out. What other "previously on" people are you fond of?

Next to the "previously on" guy for 24. I'm sorry but he's the best in the business.

According to the excellent behind-the-scenes TV book "Desperate Networks," the Previously On Lost Guy is none other than Lloyd Braun, the ABC executive who shepherded Lost to production but was fired before the show went on the air. Supposedly, JJ, Damon et al secretly brought him in to record that voiceover so he would be able to remain a part of the show, since he was so instrumental in its creation.

I could swear that it is John Terry, who plays Christian Shephard
Posted By jacob_lost | April 10, 2008 12:50 PM
I always thought it was actor Peter Coyote. Now I'm really curious about who it REALLY is!
Posted By Tori Lennox | April 10, 2008 12:59 PM
Ditto jacob_lost.
I was always pretty certain it was the actor who plays Christian Shepard. I believe Peter Coyote narrated one of the clip shows.
It's only a quick line, but it sure sounds like Christian Shepard.

It is definitely actor John Terry (Christian Shepard), I heard this either on the podcast, or in an interview with someone on LOST. I remember thinking: "Oh! Awesome!" And I've been telling friends as like a little interesting LOST fact ever since... And then I came across this Onion article (The Onion is my new obsession), and thought it was hilarious, knowing who the real person that says it is.
So yeah, Go Onion! Go John Terry! And Go LOST!

I also thinks its cool that Kiefer Sutherland does the "24" one. I wonder if this means that Christian Shepherd is more instrumental in the show than I though... hmmm.
Posted By AnotherOther | April 10, 2008 2:34 PM
the 24 one is kiefer sutherland.
i was positive, up until this point, that the lost one was carlton cuse. go ahead and take a listen, it sounds just like him.

I am pretty damn positive that Carlton Cuse says "Previously on Lost".
If you have any of the Lost DVDs, just listen to his voice for five seconds. This one is easy people!

Hahahhaha I like "Previously on Twin Peaks" The best. Cause I'm sure it was Special Agent Dale Cooper.
Posted By haymes | April 10, 2008 6:27 PM
I was about to say the one from Previously on 24....
I think is Keifer Sutherland himself... he has such a great recognizable voice...

The Lost voice over is Carlton Cuse people!! And you call yourselves Lost fanatics...shame on you!
Posted By iowa21 | April 11, 2008 6:06 AM
For a portion of the first season it was Lloyd Braun and since then it's been Carlton.
Posted By Axel | April 11, 2008 10:53 AM
I don't know about "previously" but I love the Law & Order (original show) guy at the beginning.
Posted By magnoliasouth | April 11, 2008 10:19 PM
I thought it was Chris Carter at first, But Ive been leaning towards Carlton Cuse since the middle of Season 2.
Posted By Ana-Lucia was str8 Fire, I hope she shows back up someday. | April 12, 2008 6:10 AM
I can guarantee you it's John Terry (Christian Shepard). I'm pretty sure I heard it on the bonus disk of the season 2 DVDs... I'm not positive that's where I heard it though... But I know I did hear it... How 'bout a bunch of us submit it as a question to Damon and Carlton to be answered on the Podcast?
Posted By Matt | April 12, 2008 3:41 PM
^^^They( Damon & Carlton ) already said on an official podcast that they were not gonna say who it was.
And whats up with, I can Guarantee changing to Im pretty sure and then to Im not positive?

I swear that it is John Larroquette and until they say that it is not him I will not be convinced otherwise. I know it would be a possibly random choice and after a quick search I can find no link between him and anyone involved in the show, it just sounds so much like him.

It's Tim Daly. Pretty sure that's how you spell it. He was the older brother on Wings. And he was on that bank show that went backwards or something like that on ABC, a couple years back.

I am 100% positive that it's Carlton Cuse. There is no mistaking his voice.
Posted By Robyn | April 15, 2008 5:22 AM
I am one hundred percent positive it's the guy that played Spiderman's boss in the Spiderman movies, among many, many other things.
Posted By Panda | April 17, 2008 12:13 AM
I listened again and it is not John Larroquette, but Carlton Cuse. Or are they the same person? Has anyone ever seen them in the same place? The answer is probably no, so they are the same person.
How does he write Lost and appear on Boston Legal? So much talent!
