Lost Spoilers
The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here: our first glimpse of Lost season four.  The season four trailer that is currently playing in U.S. movie theaters hit YouTube today, and it provides some intriguing hints of what we'll be obsessing over come February.

The trailer starts with words flashing across the screen as images from the first three seasons of the show flash by.  "On September 22, 2004, Oceanic flight 815 crashed. February 2008, rescue arrives. Or has it?"

Everything seen from that point forward appears to be new material, and while it only adds up to about twenty seconds it's still pretty intriguing.  We see Kate saying "they're on their way," obviously referring to the mysterious "rescuers" who were coming to the island in the season finale.  We then see someone tackling Ben, Hurley running through the jungle, and Locke looking down at someone who is passed out, or dead, on the ground.  It looks to be Juliet, but I can't be sure.

"Every person on this island will be killed."  Those are the haunting words Ben spoke in "Through the Looking Glass," and they're repeated in this trailer.  Someone, or something, is coming for them.

In the quick flashes that follow, we see Sawyer pointing a gun at Ben's head, Hurley looking into a mysterious room, and Jack pointing a gun menacingly.  "Whatever they came for, it isn't us," Locke states.

The video ends with another succession of quick shots. Something explodes, we see the Hydra logo, Hurley appears to be underwater, Naomi is dead on the ground with a knife in her back, there's an animal skull, what appears to be blood falling on someone's arm, Kate looking upward in horror, a cow standing on a hill, and finally, Charlie (yes, Charlie!) removing some sunglasses.

"Lost. The new season begins 2008."

Wow.  The overall tone of the clip is definitely ominous.  People are coming to the island, our castaways are in great danger, and it looks like there's going to be a lot of action and horror when the "rescuers" arrive.

The thing that really stood out to me about this trailer was, of course, the Charlie appearance.  We know he's dead.  Maybe he makes an appearance in someone's flashback in the first episode.  Usually the season kicks off with a Jack flashback, but since the show seems to be shaking up its structure this year, maybe that won't be the case.  I just know that I'm excited to see Charlie again, however briefly.

Click below to watch the video, and let the season four speculation commence.

a) the trailers have been in theaters. It is not the trailer that "will be" it is the trailer that IS playing now, and has been extensively discussed.

b) way to copy and paste from DarkUFO and not even give credit. NO. Class.

c) did you watch season 3 at all? Cows have been shown on the island, and even before they were shown Juliet brought Jack a cheeseburger and told him the beef came from the island.

d) http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/12/lost-trailer-high-quality.html

the original post/source for both videos. The first is open source, of course, but lyly is a DarkUFO regular. Shameless that you wouldn't give cred to the site you copped from.

in the charlie flash u also see half of hurleys hair, and with him wearing that same red t-shirt he wears on the island...

Razz,

a) Don writes "The season four trailer that IS CURRENTLY playing in U.S. movie theaters hit YouTube today..."

b) I have no clue what you are talking about. It is the same video on both sites because there is only one Lost trailer. It is not the same article as on DarkUFO.

c) Don did not write "There is a flash of a cow I've never seen before", he is describing the flashes and simply writes "a cow standing on a hill", nothing implies he had never seen it before.

d) you do realize that DarkUFO does not own Youtube, right?

Don wrote an article by himself and then got the video off of Youtube, maybe it was on DarkUFO first, but it was on Youtube before that and DarkUFO got it off of Youtube.

My God, you guys have every right to miss Doc, but if you are going to come up with excuses for hating the people who are trying to fill his big shoes, at least come up with SMART excuses.

The whining is annoying, but this article was updated. I saw all of Razz's complaints as well. But sheesh, get over it.

yeah, he updated the article. Bravo. How about just trying to get it right next time. The only thing I miss is real substance. this site is now under the control of lost fan pod people are something. its just weird and sad

Doug,

Razz had legitimate criticisms before it was updated; hence, Don updated it. Kudos for the update and posting the trailer.

I'm going to hopefully see 'I am Legend' Friday at the Imax. I hope to see the 'Lost' trailer.

Either on Wikipedia or Lostpedia, I forget which, had episode names for the first episode and seventh episode. I wanr those who want to check it out. I didn't read anything that was too revealing (I write 'too revealing' because I find its pretty revealing to get an insight of the episodes at this point); however, reading anything about unaired episodes can give away plot points that I would rather see unfold in the screen.

I came across it by chance and couldn't help reading a synopsis, but I definitely will not be checking it out again. It's so much better to watch it then to read about it.

Man, I seen a lot of cool stuff in those flash frames. I saw charlie, Hurley underwater, and right when it is talking about rescue there is like a person in a mask.

The woman on the ground who John is looking down is not Juliet, it's Rebecca Mader (don't yet know her character name).

But really, what's with the cow? I man, yeah we know they're on the island, but why show it in the trailer? Can a cow be that important? Or are the clip editors having a bit of a laugh?

Of course, I'm from Wisconsin, so I see cows all the time and don't find them very mysterious.

I'm quite happy to see Mikhail's cow survived *happy face* it would seem to be the same cow as its the same colour Sayid saw and has the same bell around its nec. Perhaps it leads them to some place of importance?

This site is just becoming a bunch of children arguing over nothing. Granted, the new writers seem to not even have much interest in Lost and they don't really know nearly as much about it as most of us posters do....hey wait a minute...what the hell are these guys writing here for in the first place?

Wow, this is getting ridiculous. Every time there's an article posted on this site, 75% of the comments on that article are negativity towards whoever wrote it. How about just calming the heck down for a minute and realizing that we're talking about a TV show here. And it's just the same people who are coming out and talking shit every time. If you really hate the site and the new writers that much, then STOP COMING! Geez.

Anyways, good job, Don. You may have made some mistakes on the first posting of the article, but mistakes happen. Keep up the good work, guys.

I managed to pause it during the exact moment where Charlie appears, it looks to me as though he is sitting there talking to Hurley in fact im 99% sure that it is. Perhaps Hurley is having one of his 'Dave' moments, or perhaps a flashback.

A flashback could be possible, i mean Hurley was in the mental hospital so he may have been drugged up and had in fact met Charlie before. Just throwing ideas, not theories, and another 'Dave' moment is not out of the realms of possibility either

I would also like to add the fact that there was another promo for the show back in August at the ABC Commisionary in WDW Florida that said the following: "They thought they knew the island", "They Thought they found the others", "They thought they found evil", "They thought wrong". "Defend the island 2008" not that great

You can also see a slow motion version and lots of screencaps here

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/12/lost-trailer-high-quality.html

Wow, "Doc" must be so pleased to see what his departure hath wrought.

you guys crack me up here. I come on here everyday and read everything bad that everyone says about the new writers since Doc left. If you dont like it here, dont come here, its that easy. Im primarally on Darkufo and dont come here as the first site I check for Lost. Darkufo has way more stuff. I just like the lost boys cartoons and seeing everyone lose it on every single post!

how about the screencaps that look like Hurley is looking through the window at Jacobs cabin and then goes wide eyed?

-thats- what has got me.
plus the one of Jack firing his gun. I don't think he'd have killed anyone, his oath and all, but I dunno. I guess near 100 days being stranded on an island of gorgeous girls you're unable to get with has taken its toll on him.

It looks like Charlie(in flashback, obviously :[ ) and Hurley. It's definetly Hurley if you look at in slow-motion.

Or, perhaps it's Charlie in a flash forward?
I can only hope...

I managed to freeze frame on the shot of Charlie and I would bet money that the person looking at him is Hurley. The person appears to have broad shoulders, a short neck, and curly brown hair down to his shoulders. It's pretty obviously Hurley, and since we are almost 100% sure they never met before the island I think it's a safe bet to say this is a FF or on island incident.

yes, please. enough with the whining.

the angry dork response to every post here is getting so old. stop coming here if you don't like it. you act like these guys took a dump on your mom.

i come here for info. that's it. if i don't like it, i stop reading. and to further illustrate the example, i used to read the comments (because most of you have interesting things to say) but i will stop reading those as long as "offended Lost fan" keeps posting. my god you suck.

Did anyone notice the number 6 toward the end of the clip, just randomly popping up to say hello!

"6"??????????

I've print screened it!

It looked to me that the Charlie part could be part of a flash forward. Strange I know, but it could happen. Maybe it is a "Dave" moment but in a flash forward.

Am I the only one, who still (clings) believe that Charlie is NOT DEAD??? Water in a cabin doesn't mean somebody dies.... I say Desmond got him out by the hole and breathed him back to life...I guess we will see about that in February....

thanks you site admini.
