Yes, but we had attributed last week's dropoff in viewers to it being Valentine's Day. I was expecting a return to the ~16M range. This is bad news.

Who cares about ratings? There is ***ZERO*** chance the show will be canceled at this point. Could you imagine the fan reaction?

Well it's not that I'm worried about it being cancelled.. I just feel sad that people are too __something___ to not recognize this great great show. Instead, what is North America watching? Heroes. Kill me now.

I'm a total statistics freak, so that's why I'm personally interested in the ratings. It's always nice to know that a large number of people enjoy something that I enjoy so much and the more people who watch Lost, the better I feel about humanity in general. But it isn't too surprising that the numbers are where they are. Whether you enjoyed the beginning six-episode arc of season three or not, the negative press the show received then was overwhelming. Any potential viewers were probably turned off by that. And it doesn't matter how many outstaning episode we've had since then, that's a steep hill to climb.

I am probably wrong, but aren't the ratings for every Kate flashback lower?
Also you have to factor in the fact that they air the enhanced episode the next week.
While I watch both episodes, I think there might be a percentage of people that just watch those each week instead.
I used to chart the ratings with each episode and pay attention to the trends, but since Lost won't be canceled now, it doesn't matter.

i totally agree with larry people just dont understand how amazing LOST really is. My sister watches heroes and she thinks its better. i couldn;t believe she thought that is think heroes is like poop and lost is like gold

I wouldn't call myself a statistics freak but I do have a fondness for math. I work with Nielsen data on a daily basis and it is incredibly inaccurate. Arbitron for radio is much worse, but even Nielsen data is extremely flawed. In my professional opinion it is pretty close to being worthless. If I was making decisions based on Nielsen data the only part I would pay attention to would be the demographic trends.
Regardless of whether the numbers go up or down from week to week Lost is a huge hit and will not be cancelled, so what's the point of worrying about these ridiculous numbers now?

GOOD NUMBERS WILL ENCOURAGE THE NETWORKS TO DO MORE SHOWS LIKE THIS IN THE FUTURE, NOTHING LIKE LOST HAS BEEN DONE IN YEARS, AND IT IS SUCH A GREAT SHOW. I LOVE ALL THE PUZZLES AND EASTER EGGS.

This episode was awesome. Who cares how many people watch?! The only person I care that watches is me.
