Lost Spoilers
I wouldn't exactly consider any of the information about Lost in Michael Ausiello's new spoiler column to be spoilers, but I guess Lost scoops aren't easy to come by these days.  Ausiello's latest write up over at EW.com reveals two things that I'm pretty sure we all already knew.  One is the possible location for the island in season 5, and the other involves whether Emilie de Ravin will return for the show's sixth season.  Read on only at your own risk.

The first thing Ausiello reveals are four possibilities for the location of the island, only one of which is correct.  They are:

A. The Island moved forward in time.
B. The Island moved backward in time.
C. The Island did not move in time, but it did move in space -- to another location on the planet.
D. The Island did not move in time or space -- it's still there, but Dharma tech renders it invisible to the naked eye.

Like I said, it's a total non-scoop since I'm pretty sure we've considered all of those possibilities already.  I guess it rules out the idea that the island moved to Mars or anything outlandish like that.  The next bit is about Emilie de Ravin, who won't be appearing in Lost's fifth season, but is slated to come back for season 6.  Ausiello spoke to Carlton Cuse to get confirmation of her eventual return, and here's what he had to say:

"Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost.  It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told.  And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well.  The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way."

It's going to be a while before we see Claire again, but at least the writers are cooking up a powerful story for her.

Scoops hard to come by? You have to be joking. Darkufo and Ryan have posted over 30 in the last few weeks. And if you want a REAL scoop check out these spoilers.

I suggest you read darks blog, you might learn a thing or 2

Well said, Steve. "Hard to come by." Unreal. "No effort put forth to come by them" is far more accurate, given that everyone else seems to have no trouble to get scoops.

I don't see how "B. It Moved back in time" is possible. If it moved to the past, it wouldn't have disappeared. It would have just aged or something.
I must admit that I like knowing that it didn't move in both time and space, that would have been confusing... moreso.
I still can't decide between A or C. A would be easier to film, and it's what I expect from the writers, but C would be so much more fun.

What's the fun about moving the island to another location? The island stays the same, so that won't change a thing.

The future is also not entertaining, unless we see Jack and Ben arrive in the opening scene, and through flashbacks we'll learn how they got back, but that's almost the same as last year...

So I think moving backward is the way to go here. They will be back in Island history. Sawyer and Julliet in the Dharma Age. That way we can learn all about the history of the island. Maybe the island just vanished because they changed something in the past, however, that may seem unlikely, because then the crash would never have happened and it will be a too twisted paradox.

But moving backward it is then.

Moving backward makes no sense--it wouldn't have actually disappeared. If it did go back in time, then it would still be in the present, but older...which wouldn't change anything since it's an island. If I were to go back in time two days but stay in the same spot, then those standing in the present would see nothing--from their perspective, nothing would have happened, but from my perspective, I'd go back in time, live out two days of my life, and then end up back in the same spot...except now there would be two of me in the same spot.

Dude, an island moved. It makes no sense what so ever:P

It just seems like the most logical thing to do.

That is true. LOL. My point, though, is that moving backward in time would be the least logical because it would have no measurable effect whatsoever--it would still be there, in the present, after it moved. Only if it moved to the future would it actually vanish--at least until that future date.

Claire always has the least to do in every season but somehow gets the most interesting stories. She was the first one we saw to get taken by the Others. She had the first single person on island flashback. We found out she's related to Jack. Then she gets taken by Jacob. So I think she'll be fine storyline wise. It'll be good!

Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future,
And time future contained in time past.
If all time is eternally present
All time is unredeemable.

I think the island moving to a different location could be interesting. It could move to a colder place like where those two russian guys were at the end of season 2 and that way you could at least have a change of scenery of sorts for those who want it. I think that if the island has actually traveled back in time then it will be great to learn about the history of the island but there's going to have to be an extremely good excuse for why the island disappeared from the present, how the time travelling actually worked and so on...

I still going back to the past is the best bet. That way we can see the backstory of Danielle and Dharma. I see no other option.
