i have checked sveral search engines and I can't find any relevance so far to the name of the ship ( Kahana) other than a Hawaiin Stae park and various jewish scholars. Anyone else find anything? Just curious...

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, and I havent' seen the Easter Eggs yet, but here goes.
What's up with the two different men who bumped into and stole Jin's cab?
There's an Asian guy who bumps Jin as he's answering the phone, making a beeline for the Cab, and then when Jin turns around there's a white guy with glasses (I thought it was the Doctor on the Freighter actually...looks a bit like him from the back of the head) climbing into the cab and then is seen beside the panda in the cab as it drives off.
So what gives with THAT?
I'd like to see someone put up some screencaps of that.

Now that I look at it again I'm not sure if the first guy was just crossing the road and bumped him, while the other guy stole the cab, or if my first instinct was correct in that one guy bumped him and went to the cab, only a different guy ACTUALLY went into the cab.
Would be a typical Lost type thing (pictures change on the wall) that kinda thing.

Did anyone else think that Regina might be blind? She didn't know her book was upside down, Lepidus startled her when he came up to her, she didn't stop anyone from throwing a note into the sick bay... any thoughts?
Posted By Leah | March 14, 2008 2:16 PM
She (Regina) might also be "stuck", thats why she probably didnt see the person sneak the note through the door. I think sooner or later everyones minds start the time traveling syndrome and get crazy enough to off themselves.
Posted By BB | March 14, 2008 2:52 PM
Perhaps the name of the ship relates to the Vietnam War's Operation Kahana.

""...Did anyone else think that Regina might be blind? She didn't know her book was upside down, Lepidus startled her when he came up to her, she didn't stop anyone from throwing a note into the sick bay... any thoughts?..."
Here's a thought. She suffers from the same sickness as the other time travelers and her 2004 consciousness was currently in a different time. When this happens, the current body is left without a consciousness and seems to be asleep or passed out.

Has anyone mentioned these possibliities and if not.. what do you think?
When Sayid was on the golf course and the man he shot was talking to him about how expensive it was to play there.. I got the feeling that maybe that golf course was actually on the island (after rescue) like once they discovered the island they turned it into a lavish vacation spot and maybe Sayid and Ben work from there. Then they wouldn't be a part of the Oceanic 6. And then maybe that Hurley and Sun were going together to go back.. when he said, "let's go see him" and "is anyone else going?"

Ender,
I have found info in regards to "Kahana".
Michael J. Kahana
Professor
Department of Psychology,
University of Pennsylvania
Director, Computational Memory Lab
Interesting that he specializes in:
"Human memory and its neural mechanisms: especially episodic memory, spatial memory, and recognition memory."

Anyone know Morris code - what was the tapping message going on in the pipes on the ship?
Posted By Alicia | March 15, 2008 8:23 PM
good info on kahana --- thanks, The Key!!!! I have another question for y'all involving a potential "easter egg" not mentioned here. I've read on other sites that Sun's wedding ring had a different name on it -- not her name. The lostpedia article says that Sun's name has different characters than the ones labelled on the hospital plastic baggie that Sun takes the ring out of at the end of the episode. In fact, it reports that the name is "Kwon Sung Hieh" -- now, if someone could get a look at a screencap of the bag, I'm wondering a few things: 1. how accurate is the claim that the baggie indeed has a name on it that is not Sun's name? (Or maybe "Kwon Sung Hieh" is a version of Sun Hwa Kwon?) 2. If it is a different name, why?
Any help would be appreciated!

Ok well when i was watching I realized when Jin was taking the bear to that man he said that he is grateful for the mans work in the great country of China, and as we know Jin and Sun and Korean, he also mentions that he has only been married for 2 months. Also on the scenes for the next episode from last week it said that the last of the Oceanic six would be revealed. And we already know the others 5 are, but maybe Aaron (Claire's baby) is not counted as part of the Oceanic six, because he was not technically on the plane. So i think that when the it said "the last of the oceanic will be revealed" it could have meant both Jin and Sun, just a thought. Please e-mail me if you have a similar theory.

I watched "Jin Yeon" again tonight and noticed a few things:
1. I think the upside-down book has something to do with the upside-down city in the water below the island in this season's Lost Title logo. (Perhaps Regina's jumping into the water with chains also has something to do with this).
2. I have always thought that Juliet blinks more than the average person. This little quirk appeared even more than normal during her talk with Sun about having to leave the island. Excessive blinking is a sign of a person who is lying. Is she still lying?

Did anyone notice that when Jin went to Purchase the Second Panda Bear, that the shop assistant said that it is the year of the Dragon...
So wouldnt that mean 2000? If it was a Flash Back
If it were a flash forward, 2012???

MORRIS CODE. WTF. the kids these days just keep gettin stupider and stupider. surely she didnt really mean MORRIS CODE.
Posted By tiffanyminx | March 17, 2008 10:05 AM
It is not an "upside down city" in the logo. It's people.Look closer.

It could be a special code for Morris Dancers. Perhaps Michael is a closet Morris dancer?
Posted By Marcus | March 17, 2008 3:45 PM
whem Jin bought the panda it was a flash back-therfore 2000, however in the store there were items which did not get released till a few years later (PSP and nintendo DS) just thought you guys might have been interested in this little slip up whilst filming.

Regarding Gary's comments above --
I've been thinking about that too-- and noone is talking about it. Also, the asian guy who walks by the hospital room while Sun is delivering -- the one she thinks is Jin -- I though he looked like the guy who bumped Jin. Same guy in the Jin's flashback and Sun's flashforward?
Can anyone check this out-- I do not have the episode on DVR.
Thank you!

I doubt I'm the only one thinking this, but I haven't noticed anyone else mentioning this idea: I think Jin is still on the island - the grave is there because everyone thought all the passengers were dead, and so the graves were created. Everyone seems spooked out at the "Oceanic Six" because they are walking ghosts to most people... I think we'll find that six of them (Jack, Kate, Sayid, Aaron, Hurley, & Sun) are going to make it off, but that other survivors are still on the island (Jin, Locke, Sawyer - just to name a few) but were rescued for whatever reason. Those survivors are the ones that Jack has referred to several times about going back for...
Just my two cents on both this episode and the season thus far... Thanks!

Morris/Morse, whatever. Didn't realize my spelling had to be purrfikt. :) What is she a teacher or something? Now we worry about our comments getting critiqued and ridiculed? Thanks, Gaz for your response. Obviously the reason I asked was because I needed someone far smarter than me with an intelligent answer. What about Captian Gault? Can't wait to see if he follows the fictional character from Hodgson's books and hides something in plain sight.
