Fans will certainly remember this True Blood and Deadwood star as Oldham, the DHARMA torturer who tried to get Sayid to reveal his true allegiance in season 5. In our recent interview with Sanderson promoting the new season of HBO’s True Blood, premiering June 14, I asked him about his guest role on the show and whether there’s a possibility of seeing more of DHARMA’s version of Sayid.
“Well, they never said anything differently. A few years ago they had talked to my agent and were giving me dates and promised - or implied - that I would be doing a recurring role. Well, that didn’t happen, so the fact that it came around again for me to do a different role, I was very grateful. I said, “Well, they don’t hate me.” But they did not say anything about doing another role and I hate that because when they do it, sometimes they promise you, “This might recur” and it just messes yourhead up. Just a one time thing as far as I know.”

Hurley can be a little thick. I know: Why does this surprise me? Granted, it’s an old TV trick to have a character who doesn’t understand what’s going on so another, smarter character can explain it to them. That’s half the reason The Doctor always had a companion on Doctor Who. “Look, Doctor! What is that?” “Well, Jo… It’s a giant heela monster from Bixor Delta 5.” But still, hasn’t he ever picked up a copy of Amazing Stories from the spin rack at the 7-11? If I died in 1977 then why wouldn’t I have known last year when I was in the 21st century? We’re talking about Time Travel For Dummies stuff here.

Lost’s amazing fourth season was nominated for 8 Emmy Awards this year, but unfortunately it’s already lost 6 of them. The Creative Arts Emmys were held last weekend in Los Angeles, and Lost was beaten out by shows such as Mad Men and Battlestar Galactica in the smaller categories. However, it’s still up for two huge prizes this Sunday: Best Drama Series and Best Supporting Actor for Michael Emerson. I don’t think it has a shot at the former (Mad Men is a lock), but I do think Emerson has a strong chance of winning.
Kristin from E!Online recently landed an interview with the actor where they talked about the Emmys and all things Lost. The highlights are below, or you can head over to E!Online for the full interview.

Last week, Harold Perrineau had a rather candid interview with TVGuide.com where he discussed his displeasure with his character’s exit from the series. Today, EW.com posted another interview with Perrineau where he clarified some of his remarks. How do you feel about the way race is treated on Lost? Are all characters created equal, or do you feel some characters of color end up getting shortchanged?

Aside from the red shirts, there were fewer casualties than I expected on last night’s season finale of Lost. Desmond made it out alive, Jin (probably) made it to safety, Sawyer proved to be a great swimmer, and even Lapidus escaped with only a few scratches. However, there was one especially big casualty: Michael. After completing his mission on the freighter, the island finally released Michael and allowed him to sacrifice himself for the greater good.
Today, TVGuide.com has posted an exclusive interview with Harold Perrineau regarding his exit, which he certainly isn’t very happy about. Check it out below:

Here is the continuation of TVGuide.com’s interview with Michael Emerson. Read part 1 of the interview here.
TVGuide.com: When the Others’ shrink said to Juliet, "Of course Ben has a crush on you. You look just like her," who is "her"? Ben’s mother, or the little girl he befriended on the island…?
Michael Emerson: It could be either… or a third choice. That’s a really tantalizing question. I still think we’re going to revisit that little girlfriend of his that made him the carved image.

Michael Emerson: [Thinks] Dark. Violent. Casualties.

As I said last week, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are popping up everywhere I turn lately. I’m pretty sure I’m going to find an interview with them on my box of Grape Nuts tomorrow morning, which I will then promptly scan and post on TTS, of course. Anyway, Kristin at E!Online recently interviewed the guys, and she asked all of the burning questions that we were wondering after "Cabin Fever." Here is an excerpt:
