Some details about Lost season 6 from TVGuide.com:
- As we’ve heard before, the final season won’t answer all our questions. “I don’t know if we want to be fully satisfied,” Michael Emerson said. “I think it’s always best to go away wanting a little more.”
- A bomb exploded, according to Jorge Garcia and Daniel Dae Kim, although they’re not telling if it’s the bomb at the end of season 5.
- A source says Elizabeth Mitchell just returned from shooting some scenes in Hawaii, and is expected to return there to shoot some more. She’s probably taking advantage of the production break on V.
- Garcia adds that Cynthia Watros might not return to the final season, although we should expect the show to “probably deal with the story”.
It’s Emmy night, and Lost has three major nominations for Drama Series, Supporting Actor (Michael Emerson) and Writing (”The Incident”).
First up is Supporting Acto and…
Michael Emerson WINS!!! Awesome. I’m so glad the Emmys didn’t look back and honor an old horse like William Shatner, but instead give it to the most fascinatingly evil man on TV.
Sadly, Lost didn’t win writing, losing to one of the four Mad Men episodes. I’d be a lot more disappointed it it was “The Variable” that lost, because for me, that was truly the best episode of season 5.
Lost also loses to Mad Men for Outstanding Drama Series. Lame. Mad Men deserved it for the first year, but the second season wasn’t very good, and Lost was a lot better, as were almost all the other nominees.
Carlton Cuse confirmed to TV Guide Magazine that Katey Sagal is returning to the final season as Locke’s (supposedly) dead girlfriend, Helen Norwood. No word on the rest - only that Julie Bowen wants back, Ian Somerhalder has shot his return scene, and Harold Perrineau’s still floating.
Harold Perrineau “can only deny” when TV Guide Magaziner asked him about rumors of his return to Lost. “Nobody’s said anything to me and I haven’t asked,” he said.
Although he’d love to return, he isn’t sure whether Michael can return in a sensible way: “Only if there’s some way that they’re getting back to all of those original characters that we started the journey with, and if that’s so then that makes sense to me. I don’t know other than that how it makes sense. But then nothing makes sense on the show, so why am I even saying this?”
