For anyone who wasn’t geeky enough to notice the use of one of the numbers multiplied by the sum of all of the numbers (or a bunch of less arcane but beneath-the-surface facts) we have the Lost Easter Eggs for “The Variable.”
Holy crap, the 100th episode could possibly be one of my top 10, probably top 5. There were shocking twists and turns and, well, if you saw, then you understand. If not, check out this in-detail recap.
What did you think? Did the 100th episode live up to your expectations?

Daniel Faraday returns to question Jack in a nice, spooky scene from tonight’s episode.
It definitely makes you wonder about Daniel’s relationship with his mother. Can we take him at face value any more than we can talk her? Do either of them really know some absolute truth about where Jack belongs?
ABC has released photos of the Lost season finale, “The Incident.” Christian and Jack perform an operation, but on who? And when? The pictures don’t give away much but tell me your thoughts. I’m curious to see what you spy.
A former Lost crew member named Chelsea Stone hit Henry Ian Cusick, Grass Skirt Entertainment and ABC with a serious lawsuit today, alleging that Cusick fondled and kissed her against her wishes and made noises, and that when spoke up she was treated with scorn and then fired. She was pregnant at the time and she says she was so humiliated and upset about it that she had a miscarriage. She’s seeking unspecified damages for a laundry list of charges against the star, the production company and the network. You can read the details here.
In honor of next week’s 100th episode of Lost, we’re proud to offer another 100-piece puzzle. Over the series we’ve seen plenty of coincidences or connections in the flashbacks. Randy Nations as boss to both Hurley and Locke, Kelvin Inman and Kate’s dad training Sayid during Desert Storm, etc. So to make everything easy to follow, and to get you ready for what’s to come, we look back at 100 of the most awesome off island connections. Some are obvious, others aren’t, but what does it all mean? Is there something greater at play, because there’s no way all these people have crossed paths this many times without someone helping out.
The Seattle Post Intelligencier had an interesting note this morning about commercials airing during the April 29 episode, “The Variable”. Apparently ABC is running ‘flash’ commercials for their new series, Flash Forward, which it’s speculated may be packaged with Lost next season. The series stems from the entire world going into hypnosis for two minutes and 17 seconds and all of them seeing images from the future. (Sounds interesting.) It’s not clear how short these commercials are going to be exactly but they’re described as ‘literally flashing.’ Epileptics beware. For everyone else, it will be curious to see.
BuddyTV has a new slideshow ticking off the 100 funniest Sawyer nicknames. Warning: Reading through a hundred of these in a row may cause you to laugh at increasingly high volumes for five straight minutes, especially since every few slides you’ll hit an illustration that brutally proves Sawyer’s point. Take that, Barbie!
