Discussion for “Namaste”
So what did you think of this episode?
The plane going down. Sun with an oar. Christian Shephard. The Flame. The Swan. Radzinsky. Ethan. Ben. Jack Workman. Winston Churchill.
“How should I know?” “Uh, what?” “I lied.”

A great episode. Lots of characters get screen time, and it’s hugely entertaining seeing well-known characters mingling with the Dharma Initiative, as well as the changing dynamics in the relationships. Good to see Lapidus back, too. Can’t wait for the next episode!

Where Lapidus landed that plane seemed similar to the runway that sawyer and kate had to build. I know its probably not the same thing, its still interesting

it is the same runway that sawyer and kate were building in season three

Confirmation that Ethan Rom is Horace and Amy’s child… priceless!
He is an island baby… 30 years later he works under Ben for the Others…
I wonder who else from Dharma is going to survive the Purge this way…???

Great episode, but it’s frustrating. I feel like I’m reading a very good book and being spoon fed one chapter a week. It also seems like they producers are dragging this out a bit as opposed to moving the reveals and storyline along. Are they playing for time and stretching out the storyline so as to make the needed number of episodes to get through Season 6? Just a thought………..
Also - has anyone had any luck finding “Lost - Untangled” for this episode? These things are HILARIOUS for any of you who haven’t yet seen them and are on abc.com - except this one for some reason.

One additional thought - Due to Sawyer/LaFleur and Juliet’s “files” submitted so Kate, Jack and Hurley could mix in with the Dharma initiates, poor old “Jack Workman” is now a janitor instead of a doctor! We also know that Juliet is apparently a mechanic instead of a doctor. Wouldn’t is be really funny if through some mistake made by Sawyer or Juliet in their hurry to matriculate the O3 into Dharmaville that either Kate or Hurley were plugged into doctor jobs? This would cause them to have to rely on Jack or Juliet to get by and would be a great plot device! (I’m obviously bored to tears after waiting 2 weeks and then seeing the story move along so damn slowly!)
What do you guys think?

I figured the workman job was either the only one available for Jack.. or he was assigned that job by LaFleur because it is a no-brainer which will allow him to get away with doing other things maybe…
either way its fitting that Jack is now a janitor… any doctors being recruited, I’m sure would have been a higher profile person and not under the Marvin’s radar…

I thought this was a really good episode. I liked it better than Lafleur, but seeing this one, I have to say Lafleur was a good lead in because Namaste picked up right where they left off with Sawyer seeing Kate again for the first time. I’m starting to think or rather hope that the little girl Dan thought was Charlotte, actually wasn’t her at all. Now that Dan is awol, he may come back at some point after he thinks he’s safe to, and that’s when he’ll meet Charlotte. Poor Sayid! What an ordeal for him to go through after all that! I liked Little Ben’s scene at the end with him, that was great. I can’t wait to see more!!!

Well, now that we know that, when he was a boy, Ben has met five of the Oceanic 815 survivors at the Dharma barracks, it may give a new slant to the fact that he is so interested in getting the passenger manifest of the plane. Could he have been looking for them? Note that of the five (James, Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid), four were on the list that Michael was sent to fetch, back at the end of Season 2.
Why wasn’t Sayid on the list? Future episodes could clarify… but he is not in the Dharma group, so maybe Ben had less opportunity to remember and identify him.
