The Tail Section

I have thought from the beginning that everyone who has ever been on
the island is connected. Most of the 815ers have problems with their
parents. What if their parents or they themselves have all been on the
island before, some have  mentioned Christian may have possibly been
there before. Maybe no one is supposed to leave the island and they
either want to get back (Widmore) or simply the island wants them
back.

If that is true than some of their children weren’t supposed to be
born at all and belong on the island. I still think Kate’s father,
Sun’s father, Jack’s father, Lock’s father, Faraday’s mother, Miles’
father, Charlotte’s mother etc. are all connected to the island in
some way in the past. Maybe they are the original people to transmit
the numbers in order to bring themselves to the island to change some
mistake they made. Or maybe I’ve seen Terminator too many times? The
island won’t let them die because it needs them in the “future” past
to be there to make a different decision. One that saves the world
from destruction in the past or future. One big time loop so they can
do it over and over again until they get it right. I always felt that
everyone was acting strange from the beginning, like they’ve done this
before. They also don’t seem to be as shocked as a normal person would
be in their situation. Kind of like the concept of “Reincarnation”.
Maybe Locke is the island’s Dalai Lama, a reincarnation of the “Locke”
from the past and future leader of the island. The others seem to keep
trying to find their leader, 1st Widmore , 2nd Ben and each have
failed the test in some way.

Since the island has “existed” in many different times and places as
Ms Hawking has pointed out to us recently, this may explain how “dead”
people are alive, “healing” takes place or hearing voices of people in
the jungle commenting on your situation.  Let me explain in my oh so
poor way. If you couldn’t walk off the island and now you can (Locke)
or you had cancer but now you don’t (Rose)  or even you didn’t and now
you do (Ben)  you can only live in one stream of time. If you now
exist in the time before you were pushed out the window, it never
happened, so you can now walk. But you still have all the memories
from the other time line. Basically reliving your past or even a time
before you were born to change your future, the future of other
people, or even the island itself. You aren’t supposed to leave the
island because it exists outside of time. That’s why there are two
planes, one on the island and one in the ocean with bodies. You were
never meant to live the new life you now have except on the island.
