‘Lost’ Season 5 Premiere Hint #1
As many of you already know, ABC generously screened the first two episodes of season 5 for critics. Since we’re now in 2009, we’ll be bringing you little hints about what you can expect to see every weekday leading up to the big premiere.
If you want hardcore spoilers about everything that happens, then you’re in the wrong place. Oh sure, I could spoil the whole two hours, but ABC would find and kill me, and even worse, I’d ruin two perfectly great hours of TV for you.
So the first nugget of what you can see is how season 5 begins: with 815. The first image we see is a clock going from 8:14am to 8:15am. What follows are five of the most mind-blowing minutes Lost has ever produced.
Like in year’s past, the teaser for this premiere is the perfect combination of intrigue and mystery. You’ll be craning your head to try to look into the TV to figure out what’s happening, and once you figure it out, that’s just the beginning.
If you want a comparison, I strongly urge you to rewatch the premiere of season 2 with Desmond in the Hatch. It looks and feels a lot like that, only the end is even more shocking.

Ahhhh The season two Desmond premiere! That was spectacular! xDDD Now you’ve got me wanting to see it badly! When you watch lost, it’s like you expect to be surprised, but then the show takes you BEYOND that. I can’t wait. Thanks John!

This is what I’ve suspected given the various hints from people who have seen these episodes - that this opening will be a lot like season 2’s. And I think season 2’s first five minutes were the best five minutes I’ve ever seen on television. Very mind-blowing and unexpected. That this season should start the same way has me excited.

What the–? Translation is as follows:
“Oh my God! This is going to be bigger than I thought, eh!” (Obviously Canadian).
The second sentence was slightly more difficult, but I believe she’s saying:
“Ash, you No. 1 maniac, you. Read this”.
If by ‘this’ she means what she just wrote, then one would assume that Ash obviously just did.
This chick had to be drunk when she scribbled this rubbish.

OMG!! Season 3 had a cool opening too. Totally blew my mind. Season 2’s first 5 minutes left me breathless.
