Lots of Lost Spoilers at Dark UFO
Another day, another set of major Lost spoilers over at The Dark UFO. First off there’s a detailed list courtesy of the Chicago Sun Times of spoilers and interesting tidbits from the first episode of the season, there’s also a spoiler update from Korbi. I wouldn’t recommend clicking through if you want to be surprised on the 21st, but if you’re like me and can’t help but read the last page of a book before finishing…click away!

I don’t see the value of an article about the latest news that DarkUFO copy and posted on his blog. It’s like three steps removed from interesting, and a marked example of how this site has officially struck bottom.

DeGroots, do you own stock in this site or something? You go ballistic and jump all over anyone who complains or even questions the content, even though this is an open forum where people are welcome to post opinions and comments. Chill out. You’re a buzzkill, and you’re contributing more to this site’s decline than the person you attacked. If you’re so unhappy with how people post here, feel free to leave. Given how abusive and socially inept you tend to be with your reactions to others, I doubt you’ll be missed. (And besides which, your comment didn’t even make any sense–whether or not someone runs this site is unrelated to whether or not they are entitled to have an opinion about the postings. Saying a particular posting has nothing to do with anyone who doesn’t run the site is ridiculous, as it was posted in the first place so that people would read and respond to it. As such, it has everything to do with everyone…even you.)

No matter how many people complain about all that has gone wrong with this site, two things are always true: (1) the site owners ignore all of the comments and continue to let the site degenerate, and (2) DeGroots starts attacking people for stating their opinions.

I’m mostly a result of poor housekeeping, if they just required a log in name through something like Google then people like me wouldn’t be able to continue to chew random people out for their snide comments.
I just think it’s funny that every time someone complains about the site I complain about them then someone complains about me. So really I’m accomplishing what I set out to, instead of complaining about the site I’ll give you something else to complain about…me.
People acting like “your opinion” is so high and mighty and you can say whatever you want and you can just label it as “your opinion” but when I state my “opinion” (which is that people who complain about the site should be chewed out until they shut the hell up and enjoy the site or leave) I get ridiculed and told I’m a buzzkill for chewing out the actual buzzkills.
Screw you man.

They don’t care also makes an excellent point; there is absolutely no good reason to bitch about this site because the site administrators are NOT LISTENING TO YOU. YOU WILL CHANGE NOTHING. The only thing you will accomplish by taking the content of this site into question is getting no response from them and then you get me all over your ass instead. Wouldn’t it just be easier to just let it go?
And to answer the next question,
no I won’t be letting it go, I’m here until someone gets the balls to attempt to kick me off. I will be guarding this site as long as I possibly can from people that will attempt to drag this site through the dirt and bitch about how it was “soooo much better when DocArzt ran it” and “where’s the new content” why don’t you guys shut the fuck up and find a better site if this ones not good enough. I’ll be right here, relaxing with my thoughts of Lost and waiting for another person to start bitching so I can bitch right back at them.
And for those of you that actually come on here because you like the site and enjoy what content they do give us: thank you thank you thank you for being a decent person and helping support the site and acctually contributing to this place instead of making it even worse.
I’m sure the next question then is, “why don’t you contribute to the site and stop being a buzzkill DeGroots?” well you see I only post as DeGroots when I need to be a dick so when I post as my other identity I won’t be hassled and I can just be nice and talk about Lost (kind of like a super hero)

You know, DeGroots, your two posts above make something very clear: You are one of the biggest problems on this site, and just as responsible for its decline as anyone else is–more so, in fact, as you’re actively trying to be a jerk. If you cared as much about this site as you claim you do, you’d cut the crap and be a positive influence on this site instead of the negative force that you are. You’re only making things worse, not better.

See, there’s the thing you’re not quite understanding. I only post under DeGroots when necessary, usually I’m a normal active contributor to the site. In fact I post almost daily, I’m here all the time and you don’t even know who I am. They’ve allowed the ability to post under any name you choose so obviously I could be anyone. When I don’t post under DeGroots then I am a very nice person and I contribute greatly to this site as I have for many years. I simply become a dick because I don’t like people putting down the site when it costs you nothing to get all this free Lost info and the site owes no one anything, it can do what it wants and no one should have anything to say about it.
If people would learn to only post positive things then I wouldn’t have to be an ass to people, it’s that simple.
SO what do have to say now?
I can just keep going if you’d like, or we can get back to not being dicks to eachother and actually enjoy the site like we’re supposed to.
