Season 5 Will Be Aired Uninterrupted
TV Guide has what is sure to be exciting news for any long-suffering Lost fan. Barring any ‘unforeseen circumstances’ Season 5 of Lost will be aired uninterrupted. Jorge Garcia says the only possible interruption would be a week off before the season finale in May. If that happens ABC would have a clip show of the season’s mysteries, similar to last season. Save the possibility of a Screen Actor’s Guild strike, it sounds like we will have at least a few months of brand interruption-free Lost episodes starting January 21st.

What about the Actor’s strike in January?

What about Easter? When they say uninterrupted they always appear to be saying it without taking holiday periods into consideration. As far as I’m concerned an interruption is when the audience is made to wait longer than 7 days for the next episode to be aired. It doesn’t matter if it’s due to a strike, a holiday, or because the dude from ABC locked his keys in the car with the tape inside, it’s an interruption. My guess for the air dates for season 5 are as follows:
Eps 1&2 - 21st Jan, #3- 28th Jan, #4- 4th Feb, #5- 11th Feb
#6- 18th Feb, #7- 25th Feb, #8- 4th March
#9- 11th March, #10- 18th March, #11- 25th March
#12- 1st April, #13- 22nd April, #14- 29th April
#15- 6th May, #16- 13th May
#17 (2 Hour Finale) either; 20th or 27th May.
If this is the schedule, then that’s not too bad, considering there should be an additional six or seven episodes to the above seventeen that should have already been aired.

Check your facts douchebag. It has been stated numerous times on various websites, and in tv mags etc., that there will be a 3-hour premiere on 21st January. It starts at 8pm with a recap show followed by the first two eps at 9 and 10pm respectively, unless that’s changed in the last week or two, in which case I stand corrected, but I haven’t seen anything. As for the finale, it’s possible it won’t be a two-parter, but I’m more inclined to believe it will be rather than not.
