Lost Cast Now Doing Shakespeare?

Lost News — November 6, 2008 at 9:11 am by John

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin reported recently that last weekend, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Michael Emerson, along with a few friends, took some time out to attend a gala benefit for the Honolulu Theatre for Youth. The group performed a reading of Pyramus and Thisbe, the play within a play, from William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for an audience of about 150.

The laid back performance drew plenty of laughs from the intimate audience. The actors are so convincing in their roles on Lost, it seems strange to imagine them doing anything else. It’s tough to picture the always stoic “Ben” in a light-hearted Shakespearean role. Sort of like rewatching Old School and seeing Terry O’Quinn as Mitch’s boss busting chops about the Sunshine Square deal.

Good to see the cast’s extra-curricular activities making positive headlines these days.
