A Return Date for ‘Lost’?
There’s no official announcement from ABC about when season 5 of Lost will premiere, but DarkUFO is reporting that the show will return on Wednesday, February 4. This would mark the seven millionth time the series has switched nights, because apparently ABC just can’t make up its mind. Do you care if Lost airs on Wednesdays or Thursdays? Sound off below.

I definitely couldn’t care less… since I don’t watch American Idol (and wish that show would just end already)… Only thing is that I have rehearsals on Wednesdays… so that’ll probably suck.

It doesn’t matter whether Lost is on Wednesdays but I am tired of waiting already. get on with it because some of my friends lost interest. But we can watch four hours of it on the sci fi channel every monday that is cool.

It doesn’t matter to me either. I record and watch it religiously anyways. The only other show that may conflict is The Office, but I think their season will be over by the time Lost rolls around.

I don’t care what night LOST is on. As long as it’s back… The only show that I watch on Wednesdays is CSI:NY anyway.

This disappoints me slightly, because tv.com had the air date as January 1, 2009, and they typically go with TBA unless they know that it is going to be on that date. So I’ve been looking forward to a January start date, but I guess I should have realized they’d push it back just b/c they can. (SIGH)

I would prefer it to be on Wednesdays just because it’s nice to have something to look forward to in the middle of a work week. But with all the damage American Idol did to it in season 3 on wednesday nights I guess that wouldn’t be the best plan. It would be nice to see it on Sunday nights, but I guess that’s prime real estate in the tv business.

dude. the day it’s on doesn’t matter at all to me. What does matter is the time they air it. I can’t handle the 10pm schedule they once had. 9pm is golden. If it’s on at 9, then I’m happy.

Hey there TAILSECTION
Thanks for the updates
I prefer Wednesday, but I’m happy for any LOST I can get. Any day of the week is good for me. LOST is my only show. I cannot stand any other programs.. they are ALL so BORING !!!!!! My LOST craving is outrageous even while watching LOST- LOL. LOST is the number one best show ever in th history of television. Michael Emerson is the most spectacular actor ever.
Let’s face it, the others are scared of the brilliance of LOST- and are too scared to even mention LOST. Ha ! We know the truth.
Be afraid be very afraid you others - getting awards you don’t deserve. Dejavu In my oppinion A Baldwin is not that great an actor.. and he’s nowhere as good as Michael Emerson. Baldwin could never play Ben Linus’s character.
Michael Emerson said this: 10 p.m. is better for LOST. That LOST is more bloodier and sexier at that time slot. Before I read his article I was wishing for the 9 p.m. time. Not anymore. He’s right. LOST at 10 is great.

This whole only showing episodes in the first half of the year thing really only came about because the first 6 episodes of Season three that were shown in October and November of 2006 received poor ratings. And although I disagree with the people who say that those episodes were low in quality, it wouldn’t have mattered if those episodes were not shown until the beginning of 2007, because they still would have received the same luke warm response.
I really don’t think it matters what time of the year the show starts, what night it’s on, or what time slot they schedule it in, because the mainstream audience the show had in it’s first season and first half of the second season are gone, and no matter what ABC try to do to get them back, they’re not going to get them back. So why let the loyal fans suffer by making them wait 8 months for a new season to be aired?
If producers already have the first couple of episodes of Season 5 posted and ready to go, thrown them on the airwaves now. I’ll bet my left nut they rate through the roof. Or atleast consider the option of an earlier start date for Season 6. Because that’s what is really going to suck, waiting to see the end.

I have LOST interest. How do they expect people to stay interested in a show that is off the air for months and months at a time and then only a few more episodes, then off again for months and months and months. Stupid.

You never know when it will air. I was guessing they might move it back again.
It’s slightly annoying that they have almost a year long wait just to see the next season. I mean, why push it back? Loyal fans are going to tune in regardless.
Oh well, whenever it comes back..I will be watching!

Hey all~
DAMN GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE WITH THE SAME ADDICTION AS MYSELF!!! I have to agree with those of you that stated you didn’t care which night Lost comes back on, as long as it’s back. I dread the season finale for one reason, That means I have to wait 4-6 months before I can watch it again. Why make us wait soooooo long? I haven’t stayed home on a particular night just to watch a show ( prior to the first episode airing, that is :0) since Ally Mcbeal and ER!! I am dying to know what’s coming next. I came up with a theory about the strange black smoke that seems to kill people when caught in it’s path. Probably stupid, but here goes, . . I personally think that it’s got alot to do with this time warp/ travel research that was revealed in the last season. ( Anyone ever see the movie, ” The Langoliers ” ? I think it’s similar to that. Remember finding out at the end that the ” chewing noises “, and the grey dull atmosphere, and most importantly, the lack of any other people, anywhere they went, apart from themselves? They discover that they are in the past timewise, and in the very end, the present catches up with them? ( If the langoliers catch up with you they will essentially eat you? ) Anyone with me on this? Enjoy the new season, should it ever arrive. **

Wednesday was so much better, because it gave me something to look forward to for the middle of the week. Thursdays give it a whole other vibe (besides, I have class on Thursdays nights next semester. sucks. they should change the schedule just for me).
