Fifth Dharma Test Now Online

Lost News — September 18, 2008 at 10:13 am by Matt

For those of you keeping up with the DharmaWantsYou ARG, you’ll be happy to know that a fifth test has gone live.  You can see the e-mail announcing the test below.  This one is a Numeric Projection Evaluation that will "assess a recruit’s ability to recognize a variety of patterns in numeric series."  Most of the questions are simple math equations, but one of them may require a cheat.  This video released by Hans Van Eeghen contains a morse code sequence that should help with that:

One nifty thing about the latest e-mail is that a phone number is buried in the source code.  The number, which belongs to Hans Van Eeghen, is 1-323-743-8573.  Call it and you’ll hear the following message:

"Namaste. You have reached the voicemail of Hans Van Eeghen, the Dharma Initiative’s Head of Recruiting.  Unfortunately I am unable to take your call right now, but I do hope you leave a message so that I may address your inquiry at a later time.  Thank you and Namaste."

The e-mail also announces the closing date of the recruitment program, which is October 7.  On that date, all tests on the site will become inaccessible.  The e-mail goes on to say that all the testing information "will be collated in a personalized Volunteer Assessment Dossier for each recruit."  I’m not sure what that means, but hopefully something exciting will happen to extend the ARG for the next few months until Lost’s return.
