DHARMA Eligibility Test Now Online
In some ways, there’s not really an advantage to going to the San Diego Comic-Con. Nearly every panel or sneak peek ends up online a few days afterwards, which means you can enjoy the Comic-Con experience without waiting in long lines and pushing through crowds of over 100,000 people. The Lost panel was online hours after it ended, and now the DHARMA eligibility test that Hans Van Eeghen was conducting at the Con can be found at DharmaWantsYou.com. Do you have what it takes to become a member of DHARMA?

Is anyone else having problems registering? I entered all my info, and got nothing but a loading message. However, I went back and took the test again and proceeded to re-enter all of my information and I got a message that said I was already logged in. But there was no info in my profile. So, I hit ‘forgot password’, and sure enough I got an email from Dharma with my username and password.
So, long strory short - I guess it did register me, even though I only got a loading message after entering my info. Is that happening to anyone else?

This is found in the email source code in commented code, and a meta tag:

In other words: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW6xkv9vwos
Which takes you to the video of… “Dharma Initiative Booth Hack”
Love the clues. =D

Slink, What happened after you registered? All I’m getting when I login is ‘Volunteer Assesment Coming Soon’. Also, when you click on ‘My Profile’, does it show your information? Mine is still blank, even though I saved it. Thanks!

Anyone notice that the “loading sign” is letters? Wonder what it spells out.
Comment by Matt — July 29, 2008 @ 1:39 pm
I had the exact same problem you did Kelly, so you’re not alone. With these things I almost figured it was part of the experience…

Kev,
My screen stayed the same but eventually that smooth talkin’ lady said the DI thanks you (or something similar).
Then I played around and after checking my profile it was blank at first but then my info filled in. Still, the loading sign looks like letters though.
H-U-N-U-O- I or T? - N
anyone? anyone?

I seem to have registered OK, but my profile had none of my information in it. It seems like the tests haven’t started yet?

anyone have an idea of what the female voice was saying in the background during the test? sounded like portuguese, but i can’t translate…

When I try to register it keeps saying “Problems with registration Deleted Temp avatar files OK code is not well formed.” What does this mean? Is anyone else having problems like this?

Did you guys notice the Gender/Date of Birth filled that was auto filled in on the registration screen.
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: July 17, (19)78
Any ideas?

Well, after re-watching the Comic-Con video, I think that the message that’s trying to be conveyed was that ~30 years ago (July 17, 1978) a girl was born on the island. My best guess is Charlotte, but other sources would say the dates don’t match up…

At 1:39, it appears that the black rock makes another appearance in the static… you be the judge.

yeah i entered in my details when i had sucsessfully passed, then went to click on the achievement thing and nothing shows up.
Hopefully they’ll name some of the dharma team in the next couple of seasons after those who have taken part in the email ‘game’ that’s kicking about as the octogon recruitment letter.

Why doesn’t this site ever post any news or interviews anymore? It’s been four days since anything new has been posted–and the only things that WERE posted before that were links and videos from other sites. Why doesn’t TheTailSection actually have any original content anymore? I’d really like Don to address that. When he came aboard, he made a big show about how he was going to keep up the reputation and quality of the site, but the exact opposite has happened. Why?

Seriously! This site has been quiet now for a week. Where’s the content?

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but after I logged in, the progress, leader board, and profile buttons were moving slightly. I waited for a minute and some letters flashed where the ‘volunteer assesment commencing soon’ portion is inside the octagon. I can’t make much sense out of it yet, but try waiting a little while next time you log in and see if you can see the letters.

AK, this is the first I saw it too. There’s a different message every time it cycles. I was able to capture the first 5 minutes. One of the scrambles includes the words “inside me”

I can’t get into the Eligibility Test at all ! What’s up?
Friends of mine took the test a while back and just (within the last day or so) received an e-mail stating that due to the “recent financial crisis” the web site had been sold to the Lost producers.
Keep me posted…
How many days until the new Lost TV season begins?! I AM Lost…
Happy Holidays!
