‘Lost’ Lands Emmy Nominations
The Emmy nominations were finally announced this morning, and as usual it’s a completely mixed bag. There are nominations that I cheered for and snubs that left me scratching my head and shaking my fist at the computer screen. The good news is that Lost finally made its way back into the Outstanding Drama Series category, which is a spot we all know it deserves after an outstanding fourth season. The bad news is that it was shut out of the writing and directing categories, which seems rather ridiculous. You can’t win them all, I suppose.

I got to say, as fanatically drooling of a Lost fan as I am, even I’d have a tough time deciding between this last season and the first season of Mad Men for best drama.
Michael Emerson FTW, without a doubt, thought!

I’m with you, Cyric. I had a Mad Men marathon about a week ago and loved it to death. I’m happy with either that or Lost winning.

To be honest, I don’t really care who wins–the awards are political and meaningless, have no bearing on me, and often have no bearing on a show’s actual merit. (Not to be curmudgeonly or anything.)

THESE AWARDS DON’T HAVE ANY REAL BEARING ON THE SHOWS SUCCESS BUT MICHAE(BEN) DESERVES IT STILL.
