Your Voice: Vincent Watch ‘08

This season of Lost has definitely been the best yet. Let me take a moment to acknowledge the writers for their successes so far:
The action is finally moving forward (I’m the giving the evil-eye to YOU, five episodes in Season 3 where all the characters hung out in cages for no reason), the flashbacks / forwards are meaningful (I’m glaring at YOU, Jack’s tattoos), and this season has had the most emotional AND the most bad-ass sequences of the entire series (The Constant, The Shape of Things to Come). And even though the islanders are more spread out than ever (Jack and friends at the beach, Locke etc. at the cabin, Sawyer and friends wandering the jungle, Sayid / Desmond on the freighter, the Others who-knows-where, Widmore / Penny off the island) each episode still manages to check in with most of them most of the time, which is all I can ask for. PLUS, the characters from the freighter (Faraday, Charlotte, Frank, etc.) have been integrated seamlessly into the plot without setting off another embarrassing Nikki / Paulo fiasco. In short, it has been awesome.
However, I have one gripe. I demand more Vincent! The last time we saw our furry hero was two episodes ago (Ep. 9), in a disappointingly brief cameo barking at the time-traveling dead doctor’s body. What a tease! Vincent is a diva, and should be treated accordingly. Vincent’s scenes must always be high drama, like when he carried that arm out of the woods in Season 3, when he leads Shannon to Boone’s grave in Season 2 (what a hot bitch move), or does the bidding of (ghost?) Christian in Season 1. Vincent will not be ignored!
I am officially initiating Vincent Watch ‘08, where I demand that Vincent be given a higher profile on Lost. Writers, you have two episodes left this season to meet my demands. I either want to see Vincent surfing (I know he can!), giving a beat-down to the smoke monster, or becoming the so-wrong-it’s-right love interest of Claire. Those bitches are meant for each other.
You know what you have to do. Don’t let the clock run out.

Have your theories posted on The Tail Section!
"Your Voice" is a new TTS series in which Tail Section fans submit their articles, theories or reviews to be published on The Tail Section for all their fellow fans to read. Have you spent far too much time pondering the origins of the DHARMA Initiative? Have you alienated your co-workers by rambling about Daniel Faraday’s wacky time anomaly experiment? If so, we want to hear from you. Send your own Lost theories, reviews, or general thoughts to Editor(at)TheTailSection.com. Please keep all submissions between 300 and 1,000 words. We will read through all submissions and contact you if we publish your entry. You will also receive byline credit on our site.

Haha, very funny post, but I think most of us would rather see more of Rousseau and The Others.

Once and for all, can we PLEASE stop beating up on “Stranger In A Strange Land” already? ‘Jack-back’ or not, there was far more meaning in that episode than many LOST fans apparently realize…..THANK you!

With all due respect, Don, this particular “Your Voice” entry was pointless and juvenile. There was no voice here at all, just a badly written couple of paragraphs that really made no point other than that the writer wants more Vincent. The earlier “Your Voice” entries were far more interesting, and actually written by people who knew how to string an essay together without rambling or using obscenity (let’s face it, the repeated use of “bitch” just made this piece look like it was written by a teenager). Those earlier articles posed theories, analyzed episodes, offered character studies and explored the mythology of the island in thought-provoking ways. This one, on the other hand, just rambled. Let’s have some quality control, shall we? “Your Voice” may be fan-submitted, but that doesn’t mean you should just accept any old thing that comes along, regardless of whether or not it’s worth reading. I suggest you go back and re-read the first couple of articles posted under the “Your Voice” banner, then read this one again. I think the differences in quality will be immediately obvious.

No More of This — the main reason I posted this particular entry is because it made me laugh. It may not present theories or have any deep meaning, but there’s nothing wrong with a frivolous entry every now and then. I’d certainly love to post more long, detailed fan theories, but those are tough to come by.
Anyway, sorry you didn’t like this one, but don’t give up on the “Your Voice” section. There’s bound to be some entries you love and others that you don’t agree with.

There’s nothing to agree or disagree with in this entry.
It’s just plain stupid.
Another sign that this site is going further and further down the drain since Doc Arzt left…

This site is officially dope. Disregard these naysayers. They are obviously still here, so good for the TailSection! And I enjoyed this entry. It’s a welcome break from the wordy, “I’m Smarter Than You” theories that I’ve come across on most sites. I too miss Vincent and you people are right - there was no opinion here becaus ethere is only one opinion when it comes to Vincent: He rocks socks. Thanks for your time and keep this site going. I love it.

It has been said that Jacob has already been on the show but we haven’t heard his voice. I think Vincent could possibly be Jacob (or perhaps a manifestation of Smokie). Plus, ever since Jacob and his cabin have been more in the episodes, Vincent has disappeared. Coincidence?
