Easter Eggs for Episode 4.6 “The Other Woman”
Last night’s episode of Lost wasn’t exactly exploding with Easter Eggs, but we did manage to find a few. This week we take a look at Daniel Faraday’s map, ponder the origins of those jungle whispers, get a close look at Harper’s diploma, and try to figure out how The Tempest got its name.

Why does everyone seem to think that “her” is ANNIE?!?!
JULIET LOOKS JUST LIKE BEN’S MOM!!!! Durrrr…

I agree Ben is evil, malicious, sinister, manipulative and would never let his emotions cloud his vision….BUT every villain has his achilles heel. Why can’t this be Ben’s???

Wow. Someone needs to get laid.

While that loser wasted his life, he couldve (as Kevin above me mentioned) gotten laid, while some of us were getting laid, he sat there repeatedly pressing ctrl V.
Good to see there are still plenty of virgins in the world.
Interesting Easter Eggs too by the way

MattD… I think it’s Annie because I’m going by audio commentary made by the producers on the DVD episode of Man Behind the Curtain– they said the two most important women in Ben’s life were Annie and Alex, and that we’re going to see a whole lot of Annie and Ben’s backstory in the coming seasons. So, I think Ben’s relationship to his mother, while we still may see it come back a little in flashbacks, isn’t quite as pertinent as Annie’s relationship to Ben. What do you think? I find it hard to get that commentary out of my head everytime I think of Ben’s past — can’t wait for Annie episodes!!!!

Well, after lurking for years, I’ll finally throw out something useful…maybe…
When Ben greets Juliet at the door for their private dinner party, for a second you can see a painting on the wall…looks just like her…
This show really is the best thing ever…

Hmm… I might be changing my mind and agreeing with MattD after all… I just went back and looked at The Man Behind the Curtain, and his mom does have the exact same long wavy blonde hair as Juliet.
I gotta go back and look at those scenes where you can see that painting, 4joe815. Is it of his mom?
I dunno… I think Ben’s “crush” or “feelings” for Juliet are typical romantic feelings. I think that they are definitely wrapped up in him losing his mother, Annie, and a daughter we don’t know about yet…
I’ve heard theories that they cast Annie because she had the same coloring as Evangeline Lilly — any thoughts on that?!!!

The writers of Lost like throwing the fans for a loop don’t they. That Michael would be Ben’s man on the boat seems almost too predictable to me. What if Ben’s “man” on the boat is really Libby? Or possibly another main character that has died. It’s supposed to be someone we thought we’d never see again, this big shock. Would Michael really be that big of a shock? Even to the people on the island?

Wow, I thought last night’s episode was 100 times better than Eggtown. I didn’t think it was very weak at all. It makes sense that Ben has personal issues that drive him, that’s been hinted at already, what with Ben’s preoccupation with the fertility issues and his not allowing Juliet to leave. I’d been curious about the Ben/Juliet history since Season Three, though it did seem out of order for it to have been addressed now when so much more is going on.
But we got answers, namely who the big force Ben is trying to keep away from the island is, Widmore. Now we can speculate as to what his connection to Desmond has to do with Dessie’s being stuck on the island. We know from the auction that Widmore may have obtained clues as to how to get to the island from having acquired the journal, he’s the bad guy who’s closing in-that is a major reveal!
I loved this episode, it had Ben/Juliet time and Ben/Locke time. It showed us a side of Ben that directly relates to his childhood traumas. It gave us insight into why Ben is who he is, and why Juliet is still on the island. Plus we got to see the Tempest and discovered that Ben still had the ability to gas the entire island at his disposal. It was also a lesson into how Botox and eye lifting surgery combined with fanciful eyebrow sculpting can turn a good-looking older actresses into freaky ladies. I’m getting mean, I better stop.

Did anyone catch that jack said that Harper seemed ” a little hostile”? The word hostile is used twice more in this episode as well. Coincidence? Come on itsa lost.

I am curious what people like ben (Mr. Ctrl-V above, not our favorite villain) actually watch. If LOST sucks, what does one consider good television?
People who watch LOST have amazing taste and intelligence.

While I don’t think this was the best episode this season, I don’t think this was exactly bad either. Ben is quickly becmoing my favorite character on the show. Michael Emerson is amazing. Also, why does everyone hate on the Jack/Juliet thing? I think they’d be good together. Oh, and Mr. Ctrl V is a douche.

What if Ben’s “man” on the boat is a grown up Walt and that’s why Locke saw a “big” Walt in the jungle after he’d been shot?

Sun has only three weeks to get off the Island or she’ll croak. And here’s a curious thought: Is that three weeks in Island time or real-world time? We now know that time on the Island moves more slowly than elsewhere. So, is a Lost-island pregnancy still nine months? Or is it longer? Or could it even be shorter because her body is on real-world time even though her mind is perceiving Island time? [...] Did you hear there’s a funeral this week?
