Though we’re still weeks away from the return of Lost’s fourth season, it’s never too early to start guessing what the next episode may be about. ABC’s official description for the April 24 installment reads, "Locke’s camp comes under attack and Jack tries to discover the identity of a body that has washed ashore." It’s not much to go on, but there you have it.
ABC has released some promo pictures for the new episode, and in them we see Locke and Ben barricading the house against possible attack. The big question is, who is attacking? My guess would be it’s either the Others finally coming to spring Ben, or freighter folk being led on a mission by Lapidus. We also see Hurley and Sawyer sitting down to play a game of Risk, which, interestingly enough, is a game about controlling opposing armies and attempting to take over land. Fitting, isn’t it?
As for the dead body that washes up, who could it be? It’s probably not Regina, since the chains she wrapped around herself likely caused her to sink like a stone. I’m sure it’s someone from the freighter, but that doesn’t exactly narrow it down.

The home of the Find 815 ARG, Find815.com, has recently been updated. The game kept Lost fans busy during the hiatus between seasons 3 and 4. Could it be making some sort of comeback? Perhaps they’ll revive it to keep the fans busy after Lost wraps up in May, but for now we’ll just have to wait and see.

If you missed part 1 of Tailhook’s theory, check it out here.
To add to the first part of my theory, let me pose the question: what is the purpose of Jacob and the smoke monster? Jacob attracts people to the island, while the Smoke Monster tests them and kills them if needed. But they are two parts of the same entity, that entity being The Island. They are as close a physical manifestation as the island can generate in order to interact with the inhabitants.

I undertook coming up with an explanation for Adam and Eve, and the answer I came to is one I have not seen elsewhere, so I will propose it here.
First allow me to detail my biases. I’m not a big time loop guy. I don’t like getting bogged down in Casimir effects and cloning and whatever techno-crap they like to wrap their science in. It’s nice fluff, a decent distraction, but it can’t be the root of the story. It certainly gives the writers decent Nerd Cred, but really, the story has to be approachable to the casual viewer. The handwaving has to be kept to a minimum.

Whether you love them or hate them, the series of Lost parodies featuring action figures continues. I wasn’t a huge fan of this installment until the very end, which features Jack saving the day with the action movie ready quip, "Get lost!"
The third part of this series randomly throws in Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. As always, you can find more comedy from The Fine Brothers over at RavenStake.com.

I’m a total nerd for writers. I’m someone who pays attention to who writes my favorite television episodes, and I then get all geeky and excited when their names pops up again later in the season. There was a time when I could have told you who wrote each episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though I’m probably a bit rusty on that these days.
This is my long-winded way of saying that I’ll always look forward to any Lost episode written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. They wrote three of my all time favorite episodes last season: "Tricia Tanaka is Dead," "Exposé," and "Greatest Hits." For crafting those three hours of fantastic television, they’ll forever be on my radar.

In the first three seasons of Lost, there have been several themes that run throughout the series and connect the Oceanic 815 survivors and the Others.
However, standing out among all of these themes is one thing that has gone largely unnoticed by these eyes (which admittedly hasn’t read every theory out there, but go with me on this one). What I’ve recently noticed is that an overwhelming number of Lost characters have serious Daddy issues. I don’t mean "Daddy wouldn’t buy me a car on my 16th Birthday" daddy issues, and I don’t mean "Daddy is such an a-hole, he beat up my boyfriend" type issues either. I mean REALLY screwed up in a way that Dr. Phil wouldn’t touch with a 15 foot pole type issues.

First of all, I’d like to thank The TailSection writers and all the fans who turn out here on a daily basis to tediously mull over the details of our favorite mystery island and it’s varied inhabitants. I feel honored to throw my contribution into the mix.

It’s been strange to watch Lost steadily decline in the ratings over the past eight weeks, and I wish there was some kind of sensible explanation for it. The show has been keeping up the same high quality as always, so that’s not the problem. Are people just busy on Thursday nights and DVRing the show for a later date? Is Lost’s lack of a popular lead in hurting it? Who knows.
"Meet Kevin Johnson" brought in 11.28 million viewers, which is the lowest tally for the season. Maybe the show will do better when it moves to 10pm after Grey’s Anatomy next month. Surely a few people must enjoy wacky medical love triangles and time traveling mysteries.
"The Beginning of the End" — 16.07 million
"Confirmed Dead" — 15.06 million
"The Economist" — 13.62 million
"Eggtown" — 13.53 million
"The Constant" — 12.9 million
"The Other Woman" — 13.0 million
"Ji Yeon" — 11.87 million
"Meet Kevin Johnson" — 11.28 million
Last night’s episode of Lost brought us a few Easter Eggs. There was the reappearance of Mama Cass, another Kurt Vonnegut mention, and a sly confirmation of the Oceanic Six that should, hopefully, put a rest to that debate. Is it enough to tide us over for five more weeks? Not quite, but it’ll have to do.
