Easter Eggs for Episode 4.2 “Confirmed Dead”
This week’s episode of Lost didn’t have quite as many buried treasures as the season premiere, but the few it did have were quite interesting. The ones we dug up this week include the obvious Find 815 connections, more appearances of the numbers, the meaning behind the location of Frank Lapidus in his flashback, and a strange case of swapped picture frames that’s either a continuity error or one hell of an intriguing mystery. You be the judge.

Here’s a theory. I have a hunch that lost is going to tie in greatly to the “Philadelphia Experiment” which included electromagnetism and potentially time travel.
The Polar Bear in Tunesia?? - Perhaps Dharma was conducting experiments in teleportation on animals and one was sent both to Tunesia and back in time. The USS Eldridge (of the Philadelphia Experiment) appeared briefly in Norfolk Virginia during one of the experiments.
The Picture frames?? - Perhaps time travel plays a part and the change of picture frames signals a shift in events due to tampering with the timeline.

Anyone know that the phone number they were broadcasting on the New feed (the hotline) is an actually working “Oceanic Hotline” you can call? =)

I believe that the island is back in time millions of years. This would explain the polar bear in Tunisia. In real time, the Earths plates have moved, and the island, which was once a tropical rainforest, has drifted and is now Tunisia. Thus, the polar bear was under the dirt, and has been dug up in the modern day world.

I have a couple theories, though they may be completely wrong, or may have been said before.. First, Ben said he has a man on the boat. I think it’s Michael. Therefore, when these people come back and because of whatever happens to the castaways, I believe Michael feels guilty, and kills himself, meaning he’s the one in the coffin. I think Dharma and Oceanic are working together - the Dharma people on the mainland want Ben because he killed all their people, and Oceanic covers up the crash saying that everyone died. They get the “golden pass” Jack talks about in S3 Finale to keep them quiet.
As for the polar bear, I think it was cloned. If you watch the mobisode with the rabbits, I think it’s called 00, it looks like one of the orientation videos, but everything goes crazy when a rabbit with the number “15″ appears on a back shelf, when it’s already being held. If you’ve ever seen “The Prestige,” it shows that when something is cloned, the clone appears somewhere else. Maybe the polar bear was cloned and that’s how it ended up in Tunisia.

this is quite an interesting thought, i was talking to a guy at work about pretty much anything to pass the time, then i mentioned lost and the fake plane under the ocean. this then sparked up a conversation about the titanic mysteries and the connection between the name oceanic (one of the names of the three titanic ships)
if youve never heard of this conspiricy its basically saying that the titanic disaster was the biggest insurence fraud ever, there were three ships, the first crashing on the test run but being cleared to carry on which lead to the sinking of the third ship.
ive probably got the facts a bit muddled up as this is from two days ago lol but just though that was interesting that the ship they call the titanic under the ocean is actually the oceanic…

personally i dont think time travel has anything to do with it, my guess is that the polar bear was deliberately put there by a remaining survivor of the dharma initiative i.e dr marvin candle so that charlotte would find it and know that there was a place were extrordinary things happened, then eventually the remaining 3 of the ”freighter 4” had other reasons for going to the island ieg. the fake plane crash has now forced the helicopter pilot to come because it shouldve been him flying flight815, the reason i can back my theory up with is that a dharma initiative survivor set up the polar bear bones is that they had good reason for wanting ben so badly because he killed the dharma initiative.
