Easter Eggs for Episode 4.1 “The Beginning of the End”
Some viewers are experts at catching every Easter Egg Lost throws their way, and others, such as myself, tend to miss some. That’s why every Lost fanatic here at TTS will be pouring over each new episode to search for clues, connections, and hints toward the greater mythology of the series. Every week we’ll be posting a list of the Easter Eggs we found, along with screencaps, and if you feel as though we missed any, feel free to chime in below with your thoughts. If you’d like to send along your own screen grabs and suggestions for Easter Eggs we need to add to the site, you can forward them to dontts@gmail.com.
In "The Beginning of the End" we caught four big connections to previous Lost episodes. There was the appearance of Ana Lucia’s old partner, the happenings inside Jacob’s cabin, yet another cameo by the beloved Randy Nations, and an intriguing connection to the third Lost mobisode.

hey look comments that say the site is going downhill and buddytv is spamming get removed!

Wow…another user who refuses to get it into their thick skulls that if they don’t like the content here they should leave..hmmm…
More comments echoing those that got deleted will no doubt show up on here despite all signs pointing to them being deleted as well.
Those users will continue to lose, not just here but in life as well.
Hmmmm….
And good looks on the Easter Eggs…I forgot about the easter eggs for each episode.
Shocking that a site affiliated with BuddyTV would post BuddyTV links on here, I admit, but good looks regardless!

wow, you can feel free to rant against and question TTS all you like by sending me an e-mail at DonTTS@gmail.com. The rampant negativity on the site is getting old and is unproductive, so I’d rather not have it overtake these threads anymore.
I’d love it if you’d give the new TTS a chance, as we’re trying our best to provide quality content for Lost fans. However, if you hate the BuddyTV connection that much, you should feel free to visit other Lost sites.

Don,
I’ve noticed in my times as moderators on other sites, that there are people out there that don’t care for logic or theory or any kind of rationale. They want to argue. They want to stir things up, and no matter WHAT you say, or how intelligent you make your case, they will never hear any of it and continue to say that what you are doing is wrong or stupid or whatever.
Last I checked, this site and BuddyTV are partners. So how is this spamming? And how does one spam their own site? It’s called Cross Promotion. You gonna accuse Ebay of spamming whenever there are ads for Half.com or Paypal on their site?
Gimme a break.
Keep up the good work Don, and screw those who would try to bring things down. I’m not responding to them anymore, and hopefully they’ll just get deleted soon after posting.
Course you could always set it up where posts have to be approved by moderators before they are posted on the site.
I could always help with that, if that’s what you needed.

I recommend not responding to flamers. If you ignore them, and they notice they are not getting attention then chances are good they will go away. Otherwise, they will enjoy the attention. Just leave it alone or else they will keep coming back. Leave the comments up. Don’t respond to them.

In the mental hospital after then man says “A facility where the paint isn’t chipping off the walls” in the background on the chalkboard is the SAME picture as the mural in the hatch.

Did anyone else see the hand held up to the interrogation room window during Hurley’s hallucination? It said, “They need you” just like Charlie’s hand said “Not Penny’s Boat.” Check out the freeze frame just before the glass breaks.

I have a theory. I believe that Jacob may reveal him/itself to all the castaways as a different form. He is not going to be portrayed by a specific actor. Like the wizard from the OZ revealed himself as a different entitys to Dorthy and her companions. Man behind the curtain perhaps? Mabey Jacob has been comunicatng already as things or people from our charactors troubled pasts. I also think that Jacobs cabin was bound in place by that ring of ash, and someone (Locke) has removed it: thus leaving the cabin quite moble. The image of Jacob we saw back in season 3, the old bearded man bears a stricking resemblance to one of the boat people who will show up next ep…I saw images from the show.

After this episode I’m pretty sure that that scene in season 2 w/ libby in the asylum was the first flash forward and it shows that not only charlie, but libby ‘haunts’ hurley as well. My other theory on Jacob is that he was a person on the ‘black rock’ ship and somehow got stuck(or was trapped) in a ‘time hole’ on the island. Being stuck in a state of shifting time he uses people like ben to obtain people like the losties to help get him free from this ‘hole’.
I think ‘the sirens’ of titan’ is like this. One character gets stuck in the chronosynclastic infindibulum ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sirens_of_Titan ) where basically he becomes a kind of flux entity who sees past present and future.
What do you guys think?

When Hurley looks into Jacob’s cabin the reverse view shows curtains with fabric cut out to form a “J” and a reverse “J”. Homage to the creator Mr. Abrams, I believe.

New content? What’s the deal?
This site has slipped big time since this time last year… sad.

Hey, the flashforwards rule btw! especially since we know the Hurley flashforward happened before Jack’s in the season 3 finale, and that much more happened after Jacks’s flashforward! Just a little query over ‘The Beginning of the End.’ Anyone think it was significant when Hurley said to Jack, ‘I’m sorry I went with Locke.’ I’m guessing this means that the Islanders will re-unite later on after the majority went with Locke.

Don,
Gotta give you kudos for conitinuing to post new content on this site, despite loads of negative responses from people who just seem to, now, be moaning for moaning’s sake.
I was unsure myself too when Doc Artz left, but I think your doing a great job to providing alternative content to Doc’s site. Keep up the good work!
Another Easter Egg that I don’t believe has been mentioned is all the “HO” references in this ep, Charlie at the Ho Ho’s stand, Jack reaching HO whilst playing HORSE with Hurley and when Hurley freaks out at the creepy Abbadon man there is a HO type sculpture behind him. I missed one of these but it has been mentioned elsewhere online.

Great catch “Daniel is Lost”! Your Post is the first I’ve heard of the possible “HO” clue, and my LOSTy-sense is tingling. Please tell us more!
btw, HO = Hanso Organization?
Tx much - RichPundit
Comment by RichPundit — February 5, 2008 @ 6:56 am
yeah I caught the “HO” through out the episode the letter “H” is the 8th letter in the alphabet and the letter “0″ is the 15th letter which is 815 the number of there Oceanic Flight

I lurked on this site all through last season, astounded at times at all the insight and brillant theories. Came back a month or so ago to gear myself up for new season and found people had come and gone, and were others upset! I left to return after season started to see how things were going. Alot of you are still griping! Get over it.
My hat’s off to the person who has taken up and run with this site and kept it going. The site still looks great to me, with alot of information and its nice to see there are still insights and brillant theories going on. HO reference, nice. I come around looking for all the things I missed, and I do seem to miss alot! I had forgotten about Easter Eggs too. Really liked the first episode, looking forward to visiting this site too through the new season.

Christian Shepard in Jacob’s cabin???
Jack did find his father’s coffin empty on the island…
and he does have a half sister on the island with him…
that makes Aaron Jack’s nephew…
Hmmm… wondering if maybe Jack’s father IS Jacob…
How about the concept of Aaron being Jacob’s grandson?!?!
Comment by BSTMSTR — February 5, 2008 @ 1:50 pm
Thanks RichPundit, I think all those HO referrences must mean something, this is Lost after all and nothing is left to chance by the writers!
I also think that when Walt told Locke he had work to do in TTLG, that part of that work was moving the ash from around Jacob’s cabin and that is why the Cabin was able to move around and appear in different places when it freaked Hurley out! Any thoughts??
