ABC Airing “Enhanced” Version of Season 3 Finale
What ever happened to VH1’s Pop-Up Video? That show seemed to have such a short shelf life, yet it was endlessly fun to watch music videos while minutiae about the artist or song popped up on the screen. How else would I have learned about the behind the scenes antics that took place while Michael Jackson filmed the video for "Bad"?
Though Pop-Up Video may be dead, the concept lives on. On Wednesday, January 30 at 9pm, ABC will broadcast an "enhanced" version of Lost’s epic season 3 finale. Yes, you can now watch "Through the Looking Glass" with text on the lower third of the screen that will point viewers toward clues and also provide back story for new viewers. It’s ABC’s own pop-up rerun.
Clever idea or an annoying distraction during a great episode? You be the judge.

FIRST!
I think it’s fine but if I’d never seen the episode before it would probably piss me off a little bit.
Less than a week and counting bitches!

How could anything to do with Lost be annoying… ok ok, yes, the 6 episodes before long long break before the rest of the season, the WGA strike only giving us 8 episodes this season and the time it takes to get some fracking answers… but it’s still Lost and it’s still the most amazing hour on TV!
Will the pop ups be annoying? I don’t think so… I’m sure there will be a mixture of humor and good info in there that will have even the die-hard Lost fans tuned in on the edge of their seats.
Pop Up Video was a great concept, but sadly VH1 is turning into MTV with all these lame ass reality shows they have on. What ever happened to playing MUSIC VIDEOS???

ABC sucks. Stop putting advertisements and whatnot across a third of my screen!
