EW’s Seen The First Two Episodes of Season Five!

Lost News — at 12:15 pm by Shannan

We’ll try to get over our jealousy to report, that Doc Jensen over at EW got to watch the first two episodes of Lost last night! He has some interesting revelations about the first two episodes, including that there’s lots of shirtless Sawyer in the first two episodes, that Daniel Faraday is emerging as a big player in Season 5, and that the writer’s of Lost are poking a little fun at themselves and the high-minded concept of the show. Though we barely thought it possible, all this makes us even more excited for January 21st to come!

Vote for the Best Lost Episode of Season 4

Lost News — at 10:36 am by Shannan

In anticipation of January 21st, BuddyTV is asking readers to vote on their favorite Lost episodes from each season. This week they are asking what your favorite episode was from the awesomely epic Season 4.

Considering there was so little ‘filler’ last season, this is a tough one, but my vote goes to "The Constant." What about you, what was your favorite episode of last season?

Also, stay tuned for an all-out-battle for Best Lost Episode Ever on BuddyTV in the coming weeks.

Top Ten Greatest Episodes Countdown - #3 “Deus Ex Machina”

Lost Recaps — December 29, 2008 at 9:23 pm by MeganW

After a brief holiday respite we’re ready to crack the top three on the countdown.  Heading back to season one, “Deus Ex Machina”, the second Locke-centric episode, is up this week.  The flashback scenes in the episode introduce us to Anthony Cooper, Locke’s father.  We see his heartless conning of his son, and the beginning of Locke’s downward spiral to crippling depression.  On the island, he and Boone continue their attempts to gain entry to the hatch.  A vision that comes to Locke in a dream leads them deeper into the jungle to find Yemi’s plane and the heroine-filled Virgin Mary statues.  Boone’s eventual death is caused in this episode by his falling with the plane from the jungle canopy.  Also, among the survivors there are some great scenes with Jack diagnosing Sawyer with hyperopia, or, farsightedness.

Dharma Special Access, Week 6…Strange Coincidence?

Lost Easter Eggs — at 2:31 pm by John

Okay guys…I am not the kind of person who actually believes that my little contribution here has any effect on the Lost producers…in fact I would be shocked if they even read what we post here, but I gotta say, something a little spooky is going on with this week’s Dharma Special Access…

This week’s DSA is another Q&A session with Damon and Carlton…. There are some very interesting questions and answers. For instance, D&C tell us for certain that this season will provide an answer to the mystery of Christian Shephard’s white tennis shoes and that we will find see more of the four toed statue in the next 2 seasons. Plus a commercial for Ajira Airways…great stuff, but not particularly odd.

The strange thing about this week’s DSA has nothing to do with the video and everything to do with the password. As many of you noticed (and correctly called me on) I wrote that last week’s DSA video was "lame". This week the password is emal…which is lame spelled backwards! I am a little freaked out about this and am wondering now if it is possible that someone on the show is keeping tabs on our little website! So what do you guys think…it is a coincidence or not?

The Latest ‘Lost’ Season Five Trailer

Lost News — at 11:34 am by Shannan

Leave it to Lost to give us all a late holiday gift with a brand new trailer for Season 5.

Dharma Special Access, Week 5

Lost Easter Eggs — December 22, 2008 at 2:10 pm by John

This week’s DSA video is a but of a let down. It is essentially a Christmas greeting from Damon and Carlton and plug for the Season 4 DVD. I don’t yet have the DVD so I can’t be sure, but is sounds like the cutsie flash forward to themselves part of the video may be the same flash forward to themselves that appears on the DVD. If this is the case, then that part of the video isn’t really all that exclusive to begin with. In my opinion, this DSA doesn’t really give us any inside information–sure they talk about course corection, but that is nothing new. The only part of the video that could possibly be seen as a clue or sneek peek  is a very quick look at new cast members Caesar and Ilana played by Saïd Taghmaoui and Zuleikha Robinson at the end of the video.

Enjoy!

New Tailsection Forum layout for a new season!

Lost News — December 20, 2008 at 11:43 am by John

With the new season of Lost approaching, I have been working to put the final touches on The Tailsection Forum! Some changes you will see will be pretty subtle–less clutter from long-dead threads, for example. Others are more obvious and are designed to make the forum easy to navigate and fun to visit.

Some changes you will see:

  • There will no longer be two separate menus to click through to get to The Tailsection. The new layout has one main menu and it retains the title of "The Tailsection" since I know that a lot of people want to hold on to that Tailsection identity.
  • In the previous layout there was a lot of confusion about where to post what. For example, there was one sub-forum titled Lost Theories and a separate sub-forum called Lost Speculation. Those two threads are now one: Lost Theories and Speculation. At one point there was also two different sub-forums that were used to deal with problems on the board: One was a forum for people to make comments to or ask questions of the Moderators regarding the board. This was not a thread that only Moderators could read or post in–it was open to everyone. There was also a separate sub-forum for questions and comments. Those two threads are now one–the Lost Comment Box where posters can make comments, suggestions or ask questions about the board.
