Doc ‘Lost’ On The Island Day 1
So a little backed up here due to numerous technical issues. Note to everyone considering business travel, not the right time to upgrade to Windows Vista. My upgrade rendered my notebook incapable of talking to my digital camera and as a result I was not able to post any of the various ultra cool pics I have taken so far.
Luckily, I found the business center here had the capability, but since I spared no pixels, the prospect of mailing pics to myself was a bit limited. Hopefully today I can find a card reader and get some more up, but in the meantime I’ll just rely on my pity prose to tell the tale.
So, first off, the island is fantastic. The air is clean, the water is pure, the people are friendly. The cost of living is high, but hey, this is paradise.
It’s hard not to spot shooting locations when you arrive. Just trying to find my hotel I happened upon the canal that is featured in a lot of the Korean flashbacks. The real ‘Moment’ comes when you visit Kualoa Ranch and look at hills and cliff faces that enclose the pastures. Any Lost fan would immediately recognize this as "The Island." From there, with the proper guide (Ed Kos), it’s a procession of key locations. Where Ana killed Goodwin, where the bridge was, where the sonic fence was when young Ben saw his mother. It’s amazing and immersing.
I’ll be publishing a gallery here and will be publishing some features at BuddyTV as well. The first part is definitely worth checking out. The pics will be up and ready soon. Special thanks to Ed Kos from Hummer Tours for making everything happen.

Aloha, so glad you are enjoying the fresh air. I have to admit I love driving around town sightseeing for LOST episode locales. If you go back and try to watch episodes of Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum a lot has changed( but the real locals can tell you the location) …except the bright blue sky and and sparkling water is just as picture-perfect as ever.
