A Mysterious Voice now Has A Face
You remember the last moments of the season finale. Jack completes the call after Naomi meets her fate from a well thrown knife by Locke. Locke issues the warning that Jack is not supposed to do this. However, Jack does not heed the warning. On the other end of the phone, there is the voice who identifies himself as Minkowski. Well, now we have a face to the voice…
Fisher Stevens has joined the cast of Lost as Minkowski. Our loveable co-star of Early Edition has landed this role. More recently, he has been producing movies like "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Swimfan."

AHHHHHHHHHH, now I can’t watch season 4. This guy annoys me sooooo much. I guess I will mute him and put on captions whenever he talks. DAMN YOU LOST, DAMN YOU.

Interesting casting.
Makes me think two things: (1) Minkowski is going to be a nice guy, as Fisher usually plays that sort of role. Or (2) They’re casting against type and will have the likeable, affable Fisher Stevens play a diabolical meany.
Interesting!
Now …. is Minkowski a leader? Or was he just the dude who was manning the radio at the time Jack called?

Remember when this guy played a Psychologist for a role in "FRIENDS"…haha this is gonne be funny. he can be a serious guy…but he can be annoying too. Maybe something like Ben?

He will probably play a character similar to Ben Linus. Always in control and always manipulating. Just watch and see, just like he was in Hackers.

Johnny 5!

I don’t think we’ll be seeing him for a few episodes, considering this rumor is coming out so late into production. Jorge Garcia said they’re working on episode 6, so maybe he’s in episode 4 or 5 at best. Or maybe they just hid the fact that they’d hired him, although I’m not sure why they would. My guess is that he’s not all that important.

sorry didn’t mean to say "rumor," as it seems to be legit.

Great choice. I wonder if this will cause a continuity error though since we already heard his voice and Fisher’s voice is different. Thoughts? Obviously not a big deal.

consider the “continuity error” from season 1 where boone talks on the radio of eko’s plane and the voice we hear is not bernard’s even though in season 2 it is revealed that boone was talking to bernard. you guys love to find things that arent continuity errors and say they are. i wouldnt be surprised if they change the voice in season 3 to match fisher stevens (like they replaced the original actress who played penny for the season 2 dvds). i wouldnt lose any sleep over it, gang.
we should all be really happy with fisher stevens joining the cast. season 4 is going to be great with all these veteran quirky character actors on the freighter. we really dodged a bullet when kristen bell went to join that other show.

Any guy who got to have sex with Michelle Pfieffer is OK in my book.

Hey, it could be a LOT worse. It could be the awesome power of the television show killing Ted McGinley

Brilliant.
This guy Minkowski is supposedly on a ship. (Be it freighter or tanker?) In the film Hackers, Fisher played Eugene "The Plague" Belford who (in addtion to many other things) creates a virus that will capsize an entire tanker fleet.
a couple references to Lost there…..
