A Week of Lost Homages
So, I think the message here is, even though Lost is not on the air, it doesn’t stop other networks from cashing in. In total, there were three Lost Homages this week. Thanks to everybody who emailed me on these:
1. Chuck. Part of Chuck’s secret database contains the information "Who Shot down Oceanic 815."
2. Law and Order. Kevin Tighe appears as a character named "Cooper."
3. 30 Rock. Jerry Seinfeld appears and mentions Lost.
Is this the measurement for success? Not only is your show copied incessantly, but competitors name drop in hopes of bringing in your wayward viewers? Oh well, it was nice to see the show on everybody’s mind this week.

Lost has been mentioned on 30 Rock before. Tina Fey was on a lame date (with Wayne Brady) and said something like “What’s up with Lost this season?”

The Law and Order situation was not an homage- cooper is a very common name.

Well, Lost is my favourite show, but.
When Chandler mentioned "Miss Secret Agent" with Sandra Bullock on Friends I didn’t run to the video store for it.

@ Berf - Yes, but you do know Kevin Tighe is the guy who plays Cooper in Lost, right? You think it’s a coincidence they chose to name the guy who played Cooper Cooper?

“Lost” was referenced on “The Office” last season as well. At one point, when Dwight takes Ryan out for his first sales call he’s yelling a bunch of questions. One of them is “What is the Dharma Initiative?”

I laughed when I saw the homage on Chuck. And because Chuck has all those government secrets in his brain, that means the U.S. government apparently knows who “shot” down flight 815.

Oh, and by the way, if you go to IMDb’s page on Lost and see their “Movie Connections” section, you can see all the shows/movies that have referenced Lost.

OH! Okay, then yeah. That’s an homage at Lost. I didn’t realize that was the actor’s name.

I don’t know if it was intenional, but there’s one in Ugly Betty’s second season premiere too. She asks her nephew what time is it and he says: "8:15" lol

I’m surprised no one brought up how Heroes (although I am a big fan, just not as much as lost) constantly steals underlining themes from Lost and puts it on their show. It makes me sick. And it makes me sick for two reasons.
1: I think Heroes is trying to undermined Lost by stealing key plot points and expose them to take the Mystery out of what Lost is trying to do.
2: Because Hero’s is a really good show by itself and would be even better if it focused more on developing the Heroes and how their real time choices bring them to the point of being either Hero or Villain.
In other words stop stealing Lost ideas and stop exposing Lost plot points that haven’t happened yet to gain a bigger audience for your show. If anyone would like to argue with me about this I will be more than happy to unload numerous examples of how Heroes has robbed from Lost.
Namaste,

Sorry it took me song long to reply back there Roger Workman. Immitation is the most sincere form of flatery but copying exactly what someone else does is just pathetic. And I will watch Heroes again tonight because im a fan, but stop stealing everthing Lost does. I mean Syler on the beach, Peter brother with Jacks beard from season 3, and there were actually a few other things i spotted last week but I forget. No worrys tho, im sure I will find more tonight!
