Lost Season 4 Rumor and Spoiler Round Up!
In keeping with my pledge, this post will be absolutely 100% ruiner free. Centricity is not considered a ruiner, casting is not a ruiner, and rank speculation is - naturally - not a ruiner. That said, here is some of the highlights from recent weeks.
- The premiere is rumored to be a multi-character centric flash forward. Jorge Garcia was photographed in his institution robe, and rumors of Sawyer and Jack scenes being filmed nearby have been reported by folks on the ground.
- Ken Leung was photographed in parachuting gear holding a gun on Jack.
- Jeremy Davies was photographed in the same gear near Kate.
- Rebecca Mader described rehearsing a scene where she was flat on her back looking up at the losties.
- Kate will find out if she is pregnant early in the season.
- Jorge Garcia commented that the premiere is very ‘physical.’
- Libby will return in this season.
- RUMOR - someone is claiming that Leonard, who Hurley got the numbers from, lied about his past and was in fact stationed in the swan.
- RUMOR - The identity of the person in the coffin is revealed early in the season
And that is what we have so far. There are, of course, new rumors every day, feel free to discuss them here.

I’m curious as to what your definition of "ruiner" is…some of these things, like Kate’s pregnancy might take something away from the viewers who know this beforehand. It kinda eliminates the "gasp" factor. It seems like that might be a nice surprise for people.

Well, being in the spoiler section, I think even "ruiners" are fair game. It is the SPOILER section, afterall!

Where’d the Leonard Swan rumor come from Doc?
Comment by Muscle Bob Buff Pants — September 30, 2007 @ 2:13 pm
My apologies, I misread the first time. I thought it said, "Kate will find out THAT she’s pregnant." My bad.
Comment by Rayray — September 30, 2007 @ 2:39 pm
"centric" is the word after "theory" that needs to stop being abused when discussing LOST.
Comment by D — October 1, 2007 @ 12:54 am
"Ken Leung was photographed in parachuting gear holding a gun on Jack."
These aren’t your so-dubbed "ruiners"?
I mean, this sure does take the fun outta watching? Yes, it’s my choice to view it, but didn’t you say you weren’t going to post spoilers? Forget the "ruiner" symantics…this is no different to last season’s leaked stuff that you dissed?
Just my 2 cents.

yay, libby! i always thought they didn’t finish her story.
Comment by wife.of.veux — October 1, 2007 @ 9:01 am
I think all Doc was doing was summing up what is already out there and “known”.
Comment by downthehatch — October 1, 2007 @ 9:25 am
That Leonard stationed at the Swan rumor would explain SOOOOO much!

""Ken Leung was photographed in parachuting gear holding a gun on Jack."
These aren’t your so-dubbed "ruiners"?"
Not really. If someone told you they saw a scene being filmed where Michelle Rodriguez was holding some of the losties in a pit… what would you think? Probably something that wasn’t accurate.

who is in the coffin

Michael’s in the coffin. I believe the newspaper article mentioned something about being survived by a teenage son. Also, he was sent off by Ben which seriously opens the possibility that only he, Jack, Kate, Walt, and maybe another person or two are the only ones to have gotten off the island. The article also indicates a murder, which could mean that DHARMA or someone more powerful is trying to tidy up the mess that would be one or more of those fools getting back to the island (and also keeping them quiet of course). I believe we are finding out early who’s in the coffin, because it’s so logical. I.e. no big surprise…

Okay.
I don’t think Kate is pregnant and I’m pretty sure this season might have some Jack and Kate, hopefully and if Kate is pregnant I know a way that they’ll most likely take it, to continue the suspense and triangle of Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. If Kate were to sleep with Jack before she finds out and then while she finally finds out there could be a possiblity that it’s Jack’s.
That’s been my theory since the season finale because with the…he’ll be wondering where I am thing. I don’t believe that’s Sawyer she’s talking about.

i know who is in the coffin, wont spoil it for you though. Also Kate is pregnant according to my friend who went on holiday in hawaii and caught apart of a scene with her and a pregnancy test on the beach. Also i think 1 of the losties is taken by one of the new people to the island

OMG!!! I really hope that they bring Libby back, I was so mad when she died it would be awesome if they brought her back!!!
Comment by Mia — January 7, 2008 @ 7:02 pm
at the end of season 3 in the final scene when kate and jack are talking in the future kate said that she didn’t want to go back to the island and that he was waiting. If saywer is still on the island then Kate didn’t choose saywer of jack which has been a big story in the show.
Also the numbers on the computer add up to 108 which was how many minutes they had to press the button in
Who is in the coffin?
Comment by bob — January 8, 2008 @ 10:15 pm
Wouldnt it be easier to figure Ben in the coffin? Jack is obviously a mess and wants to go back to the island. Ben is the person behind the whole island so it would make sense that he is the coffin occupant. No one else going to the funeral…yeah, I think its Ben.
Comment by julz — January 10, 2008 @ 4:23 pm
hey whats up? julz, i dont think its ben in the coffin. i think its locke, only because he is hellbent on staying on the island. he has done a lot to keep jack on the island… wouldnt jack feel terrible if he got everyone including locke off the island; and they all started dying. i think that for the first time, ben was telling the truth about everyone dying if they left the island. that doesnt mean they would die on the island, but period. and that guilt… i feel the only thing that could reduce jack to the state he was in the flash forward at the end of season 3; would be the fact that he couldnt control the fact that everyone was dropping like flys for leaving the island. talk to me.

The source has been revealed. That “someone” who is in the coffin is noneother then…….Vincent. Yes, Vincent. Kate didn’t want to go to the funeral because she remembered the times she had to pick up his poop at the island and that’s what got her upset. Jack pretty much summed it up by saying he was neither friend nor family of Vincent. So there you go.
Comment by Franky — February 1, 2008 @ 8:42 pm
Who’s in the Coffin: Sawyer.
I beleive he is gonna pull a con on Kate and she is going to disown him forever.
When she says she has to get back to “him,” she is referring to her and Sawyer’s son.
Just my opinion.
I am also wondering what Jack’s dad was doing on the island before the plane crash.
Also, why does everyon on the show have daddy issues?
Jack, Locke, Kate, Hurley, Sun, etc.
Comment by Nordy — February 13, 2008 @ 8:09 pm
Good theory Nordy, as to who could be in the coffin. I read somewhere tho in an interview that Carlton Cuse said that the person in the coffin is someone we know and have seen already. 3 possibilities: Michael, Locke or Ben. (I won’t say Vincent this time) Remember that in the island everyone is there for a reason and there all united there for a reason, perhaps the fact that they all had “daddy issues” could be it. As for the chosen 4 (Daniel, Miles, Charlotte, Frank), each of them may represent a chosen task to do on the island. Daniel with the whole vortices thing of the island, Miles communicating with the dead of the island-Jacob and the original Dharma, Charlotte was an archeaologist so she may want to study the 4 legged toe statue and Frank because he may know who was supposed to be on the island and not.

I have some rumours on season 5 and 6 for you straight from the mouth of JJ Abrams apparently…
There are only 17 episodes in 5 and 6
Claire is not returning till season 6
Season 6 is the last, the season will finale in 2010 (for deffinate this statement, as they have said that fans wanted a definate statement of the end, and have been annoyed with Lost creators for lingering on a definate date)
The actor who plays Micheal has joked that fans shouldn’t jump to the conclusion that he won’t ever return.
Rumours that Libby is part of DARMA shouldn’t be written off.
We are to find out about the monster (which is apparently named by DARMA as Cerberus) but not until the end of the show.
EKO may return, but not nessisarily in a flashback!
All sound interesting, although not to happy that we have to wait till January next year for the next season premier!! grrr! owel
