What the F?
I’m hesitant to label this as potential spoiler because it was just sent to me in an empty email signed by ‘Minkowski.’ As I insinuated earlier, production doesn’t start in Hawaii until around the 20th. So, to be perfectly clear, I would not get too excited about this, but in the interest of getting it debunked as soon as possible, you can find the picture on the next page.

Fake. You can see buildings back there!

Thats a naval hovercraft. There was a fire recently on catalina island and they had to bring over some fire engines from the mainland on those hovercrafts. You can fit four fire engines on that thing. It’s huge. Not sure what it has to do with LOST…

Interesting. Minkowski coined the term “Spacetime” and worked closely with Einstein on the theory of relativity.

I’ve run an image search on Google to see if someone picked this up from the Net and photoshopped it, but nothing so far.

I used to do this all the time. Charlie Lesoine is right, that is an LCAC (Landing Craft, Air Cushioned) getting ready to enter an amphibious landing ship. There are a lot of similar pictures from my last ship here.
Ideally these are used to deliver Marines to a beach for an amphibious assault, but lately are more frequently used for humanitarian aid deliveries. Could they be used to rescue people trapped on a weird island? I don’t see why not.

Could be some pre-production work, getting sets and props ready???
I highly doubt that this would be a production photo or anything, but could hint at how Not Penny’s Boat people plan to travel back and fourth to the island.

didnt Carlton Cuse and Damon Lidelof say ‘who says there even is a boat? Source: The Official Lost Magazine, Issue #12′. maybe they were hinting at that ugly floating contraption

Even if it has nothing to do with Lost, its good to have SOMETHING to keep your mind busy. Just the thought of a hovercraft being involved is intriguing and makes me think, and hopefully others, about other possibilities that may not have been previously considered. So to all those who whine about this not having to do with anything, give it a break. We’re all looking for something to pass the time and if you choose to poo poo these possibilities, you’re just wasting even more of our time and your own.

What I really want to see is screen caps from the Orchid film. Anyone seen them yet? There are some random frames interspersed in there… I managed to half-catch on on YouTube that looks as if it might be a quick shot of our friend Gerald DeGroot.
