DHARMA Omega Station
Locations site Lost Virtual Tour has posted a new photo log of a jungle expedition. A reporter from the Russian newspaper Pravda visited Hawaii, and Lost Virtual Tour took him on a not-so-virtual location hunting expedition to the fabled DHARMA Hydra Station, aka the United States Coast Guard Omega Station, that they had located in Google Maps. Read the article for all their photos of their trip, and what they found inside. Link

Its a little disappointing. Its really really cool to see the same places in real life, but the fact the producers settled for the closest thing they could get is a little disconcerting.

I had no idea the interior (and Room 23) was on-location and not just a set!

The people that graffiti’d the door and what not need to be slashed.

Does anyone know of a site that catalogs the physical location of the outdoor shots in such a way that I could look them up on Google Earth? Or maybe a Google Earth overlay.

icyone: We will be doing that at Lostvirtualtour.com when we get a chance to put it together. For now, some of the locations individually have Google Maps links, and the sites are roughly grouped by island region.

I used to work at what is now the Dharma Station. I was there from 84 thru 86 when it was Coast Guard Omega Station. Loved the place. It was beautiful.
