They def took the opportunity to curse off cable. Anyone else see the quick cuts of the DeGruts and Hanso’s building and then almost unreadable text?

I wonder if the Orchid station is the location of the “Magic Box” Ben told Locke about. It cloned a rabbit so maybe with the right knowledge, that the Others have, the site can give you whatever you wish for.

It cloned a rabbit
No, I don’t think that’s what happened. Remember, D&C have said almost as many times that they’ve said “No, they’re not dead or in purgatory” that the word cloning will never be uttered on the show. No, they’re not going to say “exact duplication of genetic material” to weasel out of it because I think there’s a decent explanation for what happens in that video that’s based in science. The clip mentions the Casimir Effect:
http://www.daviddarling.info/encyclopedia/C/Casimir.html
This may be relevant to space travel because the region inside a Casimir cavity has negative energy density. Zero energy density, by definition, is the energy density of normal ” empty space.” Since the energy density between the conductors of a Casimir cavity is less than normal, it must be negative. Regions of negative energy density are thought to be essential to a number of hypothetical faster-than-light propulsion schemes, including stable wormholes and the Alcubierre warp drive
Hmmmm….electromagnetism on The Island, where have we heard that before?
:-) Rabbit #15 isn’t cloned, it simply uses the Casimir effect to end up on the shelf and since it’s moving faster than light, it happens in less than the blink of an eye. That would explain why Jacob isn’t seen, though he’s there; he’s ahead of the speed of light most of the time.
I agree this might be a possibility: I wonder if the Orchid station is the location of the “Magic Box” Ben told Locke about. I wonder if Jacob is simply a man trapped within the Casimir Effect and that he croaked “Help me” to John so that John could help out of the limbo he’s in and that for whatever reason Ben can see him? My attitude when it comes to LOST and the various mysteries is: what is the most ordinary explanation, what has a basis in scientific possibility?
Two other things: Is what’s in that clip The Incident that lead to the creation of the button? And Doc Whatever The Hell His Real Name Is does have two arms, did he lose the one during the events depicted?

the magic box was explained, before ben even said it, on the lost forums. after season 1 there was a white dot game on the official site. if you connected all the dots they formed a 4d box which was formed by the locations of the 6 stations. remember that there is a weather station above somewhere maybe more then 1. plus a lower dot which is now known as the looking glass. the box basically covers the whole island or atleast a large percentage.
