Charlie gets to asks for his drugs three times. On the third time, he will give him the drugs. To be clear, this was the first.

FlashBack

Back at the Caves

Hurley tells Charlie that he has to move his guitar to make room for supplies. He confronts Jack proclaming that he is a "Rock God" which results in rocks falling on top of them in the cave.

The triangulation party (Kate and Sayid) make their way through the jungle while Boone shifts his responsibility to the cause to Shannon to help dig out Jack. Sawyer chases after them to tell Kate what happened to Jack. Charlie made it out of the initial cave in, but is now alone after enlisting help.

FlashBack

Fans screaming, lights flashing, Rock gods on stage. Charlie on his bass looks at Liam as he takes Charlie’s chorus in the song, "You all everybody." Backstage, Charlie is mad but is just as easily dismissed by his older brother as others have done on the island. Liam leaves him and retreats to his women and drugs.

In the Caves

Everyone is helping clear the rubble from the cave opening. We learn that Michael was in contruction, and he lends his expertise to the project.

Sawyer catches up to the triangulation party to tell Kate the events in the cave, but her unkind response to him causes him to reconsider. He invites himself along for the adventure.

While Locke is working on the boar that Charlie helped trap, he tells of the situation with Jack. Locke, understanding that this is not about Jack, asks him what he is really here for. This is the second time that Charlie asks for the drugs to which Locke uses visual aids to make a point… Locke explains to us that the caterpillar for moths are more interesting than butterflies even though the result of their metamorphosis is much less brilliant than the butterfly. If, when the moth is in the cocoon, someone tries to help by opening the cocoon, the moth will not be strong enough to survive. Struggle is necessary to strengthen.

The rescuers finally tunnel through to where Jack can hear them. He is pinned down. Someone has to go in after him, and Charlie volunteers without an objection from anyone.

Sayid leave Kate and Sawyer at the point in the triangulation effort. Sayid gives instructions to both of them. Sawyer eggs on Kate about Jack to which she tells Sawyer how he doesn’t compare to Jack. This is enough venom to allow him to tell her about Jack’s predicament.

As Charlie tunnels trough the rubble…
