The Last LOST Emmy Post (I swear!)
This is less a rehash of the whole Emmy thing than a shameless plug. Before my change of heart, which I owe to one of my good friends out there in Hollywood lands, my ’snub’ comments caught the attention of the news editors at AOL. So you can now see me flapping my gums amongst the blogging elite in this article on AOL. The piece also contains some great commentary on other shows that were snubbed as well as a few more pieces on the Lost snub, so it is well worth checking out.
On other matters, don’t forget that this week we will have live blogging from Comic-Con as well as an audio interview with the one and only Lost Ninja!
Also, any day now I will be bring you an exclusive interview with yet another Lost on screen personality. Don’t forget that the ABC press tour is also this week, so there may or may not be some new news regarding Lost’s time slot. I’m thinking there will confirmation of Lost’s new time slot. We’ll see.

Docarzt: I vote that you “exclusive interview” either Juliet or Kate … or better yet, both together! RichPundit

Hey Doc I thought Darkufo was your buddy, I notice that his link has been taken down. what’s the beef? Because of the TTLG controversy?

Superheroes? Since when is a superhero show a “time honored” success? Most of them are huge failures.

Love the site, and have been coming to it for quite a while so I hate that my first post is a whinge - but the double spacing has to go! The double space is a typographic relic from the nineteenth century that has no use today..
As i said, i do love the site, its just that this new habit has been driving me up the wall!

I meant they were ’successful’, in the sense that they were recognized in place of LOST (a travesty, we both agree).
“Time honored bores.”

Firefox on a Mac. It isn’t really a big deal, especially if its at my end, but it’s after each period?
“…time slot. I’m thinking…”
Comment by alex — July 23, 2007 @ 6:09 pm
you complaining about the double spaces after a period? Relic? THATS HOW YOU SUPPOSED TO TYPE. You know, I’m tired of people like yourself. Not needed huh? See my 2 spaces after each period, 1 space after each comma. Thats how they teach you to type in school buddy. Thats how you type, personally I’m sick of spoiled idiots who want to change things that need no changing, lazy. That double space drives you nuts? Must be american.

While you’re busy flaming people, Ken, how about capitals at the beginning of sentences, capitalizing things like American, and the proper use of punctuation? Pot, kettle?
THATS HOW YOU SUPPOSED TO TYPE, Ken.
On topic, looking forward to your interview, Doc.

Wow. It’s interesting how people seem to think that because someone has said something on the internet, and it conflicts with their education/ideas, its naturally wrong.
It was meant to be a one off post that has been blown out of proportion.
I apologize for bring it up Doc, wouldn’t have thought it would create such bitching. I must admit, I’m glad you’re being so civil!
Ken, how about this - pick up a magazine, a book, go to almost any website and tell me how often you see double spacing being used.

Been coming here a long time… love the site, and I never thought my first post would be about grammar, but I have to say this: Double-spacing between a period and the beginning of the next sentence is not only 100% acceptable , but also 100% correct. It helps the brain differentiate between thoughts quicker and more clearly. Just because it has gone out of style doesn’t mean that it’s now the “right” way to type. It shows Doc’s character and attention to detail. I think it’s so sad that most bloggers and typists are too lazy to give the space-bar that one extra stroke. Here’s to you and your damned double-spacing, Doc!!
A fan in (*gasp*) Alabama…

I love Lost. I love reading about lost. I don’t like reading about someone tired of 2 spaces after a period. Proper typists were instructed to place 2 spaces after a period when educated. And now these blogs take out the second space?
The thing that really bugs me, are individuals that feel they are boring or worthless and have to change things to be like THEY want them to be. When you read a Novel, it is typed in the proper way to type.
New, young sometimes lazy americans love invent things, change things to make it their own. Which is sad and shows how insecure some americans are with themselves.

Ken…. u can thank the “lazy” americans” for saving your asses in WWII, and that your not speaking german right now. How do you like them apples??
