More Filming Locations Revealed
Filming location site Lostvirtualtour and their partner Kos Tours have posted more photos from the past sets of Lost today. These include new photos of the mass grave from the Purge (left), submarine, and Jin’s father’s house (which has a Nigerian connection) from one location.
From another location that looks like deep jungle but is in reality a mere stone’s throw from the local road, is a new side-view photo of the set of Jacob’s cabin, which they reveal was constructed in the same grove of trees where Eko was killed and his funeral took place. See these pics and more at Lostvirtualtour’s blog entry.

I wonder how they make the TV shots look so lush and green? Would they really put them through a CGI rendering process? Notice how lush everything is and how much better it looks on screen?

It’s not CGI rendering, much simpler than that - some color-timing changes to bring out the green, and selective camera angles and lighting to bring out the fullest greenery they can. Notice how Ben’s distinctive eyes will change color from scene to scene sometimes depending on the ambient color tone of the sequence, which will have been enhanced in post to create that rich palette we identify with locations (green for the Island’s jungle, blue for the Others’ stations).

It’s more than just color adjusting (which is used to great effect to “yellow” the scenes in Nigeria).
The Lost film crew probably has a greenery department that brings in plants, bushes, and branches to literally spruce up the set.

Yeah you can even see the dead leftover grassy plants in the pic those are the ones they probably used for the filming
