Matthew Fox Talks Speed Racer and Racer X
Matthew Fox attended a press conference in Germant to unveil the very retro styled Speed Racer’s Mach Five car and discuss, as vaguely as possible, his character in the Whackowski Brother’s live action version of the classic cartoon.
The film begins shooting this month and is expected to keep Fox busy right up to the beginning of LOST Season Four’s shooting, which is rumored to begin in Los Angeles.
I have to admit that I am a Speedracer GEEK and was psyched as hell to find out Matthew Fox would be playing the mysterious Racer X. The rest of the cast I’m kind of ‘meh’ about, but I’m sure Fox will carry the movie.
Add to that this almost impossibly faithful version of Speed racer’s Mach Five, and this flick can do no wrong. (In my book at least.) Unfortunately, they didn’t unveil Racer X’s ride, the Shooting Star, which you might say is slightly more bad ass than the Mach, but Soon. Soon.
He looks like an actual human being without the stubble.

I KNOW THAT THIS IS TOTALLY UNRELATED, BUT…….
Does anyone know where there may be a cool “Lost” game to play online or on my own?

I am also a big Speed Racer geek — I can’t wait for the new movie to come out. Plus, after obsessing over LOST for so long, seeing Matthew Fox do anything else will be weird (and fun)

I’ve loved Speed Racer for years and have always had a crush on Racer X, but I’m afraid Matthew Fox just doesn’t do it for me in the role. *sigh*
