Kristin’s Finale Spoilers
The ever vague but always provocative Kristin from E!Online has come baring finale scoopage! In her unusually refrained manner (I think D.L. has her collar a little too tight) the temptress of spoilage let’s loose on mortality and changing the rules of the game, sort of. Read on!
Kristin from Kristin’s Office: What are the two things you can tell us about the LOST finale on May 23?
Excellent question, Kristin! Here they are:
1. The game-changer involves Jack and someone else.
2. A fan favorite will sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the LOSTies.
Dana in Philadelphia: Please tell me that we get to see some Jack and Juliet nooky before the end of the season! P.S. If Juliet dies, I’m no longer watching the show. P.P.S. That was probably a lie.
HA! Right there with ya! I’m already giddy with anticipation for season-three DVDs of LOST, much less season four. Anyway, I don’t know about no nooky, but I do believe Dr. Juliet Burk is sticking around for the foreseeable future. Yay!…Please don’t throw garbage at me. I like her.

FAN FAVORITE…. I THINK HURLEY

“for the rest of the Losties”? Okay, then it’s definitely one of the Losties. I bet it’s Sayid. If he’s going to die, it has to be part of a noble gesture.
Comment by Richard Lennox — May 7, 2007 @ 6:28 pm
Seriously?
With all the Charlie’s gonna die, Charlie’s gonna connect a cable under the sea, Charlie can’t swim stuff number 2 seems like a no-brainer.
Number 1 has been rumored for awhile now too, hasn’t it?
She doesn’t have anything new and provocative does she?
Comment by doc pedro — May 7, 2007 @ 6:28 pm
Fan favorite? Sacrifice? My guess is Sayid.
Comment by matt — May 7, 2007 @ 6:34 pm
Fan favorite doesn’t really narrow it down any. Could be nearly any of the Losties’ men
Comment by bdub — May 7, 2007 @ 6:41 pm
If it’s sawyer or Desmond i’ll never watch the show again and with season 4 coming i think the ratings will go down so bad that lost won’t cont. season 4 if those 2 die.
Comment by Leslie — May 7, 2007 @ 6:47 pm
The show will serisly drop if sawyer died
Comment by JRog — May 7, 2007 @ 6:48 pm
I hate Desmond!
I hope he dies, his flashbacks are sooo boring.
Juliet, Ben and Sun are the most interesting characters to me now.
Comment by Joana — May 7, 2007 @ 6:58 pm
Desmond’s flashback boring? Excuse me but are you f^cking blind and deaf?
I seriously hope it doesn’t involve Jack knowing one of the Others before the island because that seems lame and too contrived. I know the writers can’t plan out the entire show from the beginning and I appreciate that sometimes they change the story to fit in something that works (i.e Michael Emerson’s expanded role.)
However this also has to be believable in the sense that if we look back at season 1 we can see it happening. If Jack has been on the up and up with the Others from the beginning that would be totally unbelievable.
Comment by Muscle_Bob_Buff_Pants — May 7, 2007 @ 7:11 pm
I very much hope the Sayid death rumors are false. I’ve always maintained that the audience isn’t a tenth as bloodthirsty as they seem to think. I will miss Charlie if he goes, but if Sayid dies as well I think it would be a big mistake.
Comment by Bunny Suction — May 7, 2007 @ 7:19 pm
charlie hands down.
Domenic wont return for the next season anyways. Ofcourse he will be the one that sacrifices himself. He will be exepting fate and thats a big thing in the show.
Also to the person that said they hate Desmond….ARE YOU EVEN WATCHING THE SAME SHOW AS EVERYONE ELSE!!!!! FLASHES BEFORE YOUR EYES WAS BY FAR THE BEST EPISODE IN SEASON 3 AND MOST INTERESTING. DESMOND IS THE SOUL OF LOST AND IF HE DIES THE SHOW BETTER DO A GOOD JOB COMPENSATING OR THEYRE SCREWED
Comment by Ledio — May 7, 2007 @ 7:26 pm
it wil lbe desmond who sacrifacices himself. remember all that talk about sacrificing charlie. he will sacrifice himself.
Comment by desmonds — May 7, 2007 @ 7:42 pm
Sayid? I doubt it because he is the only one with any technical knowledge, to say nothing of his other skills, among the survivors. They need him to see their way to 2010! Desmond is too essential to the plot line. Lose him, lose the Widmores and Pennys efforts to have 2 guys sitting in the artic looking for him. I could see Hurley. He’s a sentimental fan fave and his demise would bum everyone out. Notice I am picking male characters only. That’s because they killed too many pretty women. Anymore of them take the dirt nap and this island is a sausage party!
Comment by Mopar Larry — May 7, 2007 @ 7:51 pm
I think Sawyer may die as a gesture of self sacrifice
Comment by Nico — May 7, 2007 @ 7:58 pm
I made a list of who I think is not going to make it in the Finale and Desmond’s on it. The episode is about Jack and he definately has a history with Desmond. If they are completely going to change things (about what lost is) the whole time line thing will go with Desmond until it is explained at some later date. It would be shocking and nobody would be expecting it. I think Naomi and her friends are bad and they are there for Desmond. Desmond was supposed to just push the button and now he is messing with things making changes and “THEY” are coming to stop it. I am not saying he is the lostie that sacrifices himself but that he will die. This is not what I want to happen but I just feel it might be the direction they take it.
Comment by H20 — May 7, 2007 @ 8:00 pm
I might have the first one (the game changer involves Jack and someone else).
JACK AND PENNY.
Their paths “almost” crossed in the stadium flashback scene in the S2 finale. Pen pulled up in the parking lot as Des was arriving and told him that she had been looking for him and that “with enough money and enough determination” you could find anyone. In the background we saw Jack getting his running shoes out of his trunk. Pen left and Des encountered Jack inside running the steps.
But what if, Pen had been there to meet Jack and accidentally “found” Des in the process?
What if, Pen’s artic brazilians were looking for the island…and Jack…and will accidentally find Des in the process.
That would indeed make Naomi the assassin sent by Daddy to off Des before Pen finds him.

Gusteax, called it already. check out Finale Spoilers Deconstructed
Comment by TabulaRasa — May 7, 2007 @ 8:10 pm
Damn, Tabula!
Indeed you did. And I read your post earlier. Perhaps that’s what got my thought process going. Wouldn’t be the first time you’ve inspired me. So, put me on board.
Here’s a little more I was about to add:
Continuation of my previous post:
Actually, I believe the rest of that scene took place in the S1 finale (where Des and Jack crossed/met/talked while running the steps in the stadium).
So that’s two flashbacks to that same sequence of events in two finales.
My bet is that we’ll see a third flashback to that sequence of events in the S3 finale…and this time we’ll see Jack and Penny rendezvousing after Des leaves. That’s one way to get Pen in this episode without having her on the island. Although, if the prevous is true, she will appear on the island in the last five minutes and she and Jack will be the snake(s) in the mailbox.
Comment by gusteaux — May 7, 2007 @ 8:30 pm
Correct me if I’m wrong (and I’m sure someone will) but wasn’t Penny supposed to marry another man? If so, what if Jack was that other man and she was indeed meeting Jack the night of the flashback at the stadium. I’m not sure why Jack would not have talked to her but this is just a new thought so I haven’t gotten that far yet.
Comment by bdub — May 7, 2007 @ 8:35 pm
Gusteaux, This may even explain Jack’s lack of curiousity about the most obvious questions.
Bdub, Jack was there trying to clear his head about the surgery for Sarah. Of course, Jack later married Sarah.
Not discounting what you are hypothesizing, but those are the events surrounding the meeting between Desmond and Jack. Penny was there to meet Desmond as he was training for the race with Libby’s boat.
Comment by TabulaRasa — May 7, 2007 @ 8:43 pm
What if Desmond is the “snake in the mailbox” what if what he is doing is knowingly making things worse for the Losties. The Wizard of Oz theme relates to the Others. Lostpedia Facts;
“Henry Gale” (the name Ben (an Other)initially gives when captured).Who was Dorothy’s uncle.
Tom (Mr. Friendly), an Other who was called Zeke by Sawyer.Zeke was one of Henry Gale’s farmhands in the book.
Another similarity is that Juliet(an Other)is constantly asking to go home.
James Goodwin, which is the Wizard’s name in the Russian translation of “Wizard of Oz”.Goodwin was an Other.
Now we know this weeks episode is called “The Man Behind the Curtain” the ruler of Emerald City and it is about the history of Dharma/Others.
All of the Oz references have to do with the Others.
Now that brings us to the only other “Wizard of Oz” clue that I know of and that was in “Flashes Before My Eyes” involving Desmond and Mrs Hawkings. We see the man with the red shoes crushed under a wall like the wicked witch of the East. To me that suggests that Desmond may have a connection to the Other’s.
For that matter when Juliet saw Desmond on the beach in “One of Us” she gave him a very strange glance.
Mikhail was manning the Flame for the Others and Desmond the Swan. I say he is undercover. He was awful nice to Mikhail and let him go unharmed. Desmond didn’t try to leave the Island he was in Otherville. Ben wanted them to stop pushing the button so Desmond would turn the key stranding everyone on the Island.

Desmond plays a big part in Lost you Idiot!
Comment by JRog — May 7, 2007 @ 8:57 pm
also the BEST actor on LOST! Desmond)! He’s the man!
Comment by JRog — May 7, 2007 @ 8:58 pm
A shocking gamechanger does exactly that it will involve someone you do not expect. We know the finale is about Jack that the name suggests the world of Lost being opposite to what we think about it ; “Through the Looking Glass” and the unofficial name “The Snake in the Mail Box” suggests that someone good is not really good. Jack would be a too obvious choice. They are misleading us to think it might be him. They are going so far that they are making him seem lame and making everyone hate and mistrust him. But who the real baddie is will be a total shock. Remember it was indicated you would pee your pants. That person will intersect Jack’s past somehow.
Comment by H20 — May 7, 2007 @ 9:08 pm
The way the show is gearing up, I think it will be either Locke or Ben. Fan favorite does not mean a Lostie, it could mean an other. But I think it is Locke, since his character has had the most progression all season, and I don’t see much else for where his chracter can go. Sayid has barely been around all season, there is still much more his character adds to the show. That, and they are really building up to a Locke vs Jack showdown.
Comment by mariootsa — May 7, 2007 @ 9:10 pm
The only thing is is that the Jack/Locke conflict is at the heart of Lost. I think it will continue through the series and only be resovled in the last season of the show. That would mean both Jack & Locke would be safe from being eliminated. That’s just what I think and I could be completely wrong. Sorry just brain storming.
Comment by H20 — May 7, 2007 @ 9:21 pm
Kristin has seen the final episode already. She also mentions that she likes Juliet. It may of even been a hint that it’s Juliet involved with Jack and changing the game. They are together a lot. Plus it was Jack and her that Ben kept from going home. Chances are it’s Juliet who has recruited Jack into taking out Ben… Unless it’s Jack and Ben that have made a deal?
Comment by Chuck_Farley — May 7, 2007 @ 9:44 pm
Hmmm… what if, weirdly enough, PENNY were on the island RIGHT NOW, and was calling her arctic friends to find her…
Not sure where that’d be going, but it would be an interesting spin on the final scene of Season 2. She could be somewhere on the island masterminding various stuff and Naiomi could have just been sent from another part of the island…
Just a crazy thought.
Comment by Will — May 7, 2007 @ 10:04 pm

Comment by Stev — May 7, 2007 @ 10:19 pm
Just a thought: Could Penny be Jacob?
Comment by Nico — May 8, 2007 @ 12:43 am
Charlie will understand that : if he dies, Penny will come on the Island and it’s a chance for all of the Losties to be rescued… So Charlie will sacrifice himself…. No ?
Comment by angelogalileo — May 8, 2007 @ 2:23 am
I can’t explain what train of thought led me to this, and I don’t really think that this is what is going to happen, but what the hell …
We have been given reason to believe that the events that are taking place on the island are taking place in a divergent timeline, right?
We have also been given reason to believe that it is possible for people (Naomi, Cooper) to move from one timeline to another, yes?
What if the ’snake in the mailbox’ is going to be the arrival on the island of the counterpart of one of our existing characters, maybe even Jack himself?
I know that Naomi said that there were no survivors of the 815 crash, but what if Jack (or whoever) didn’t get on the plane in the alternative timeline? What if the flashback we are going to see isn’t going to be ‘our’ Jack’s flashback, but that of the ‘other’ Jack?
What if the last flashback scene of the finale shows us Jack either deciding against, or being prevented from, boarding the plane? Then we’d cut back to the island, and the mysterious new arrival would remove his mask (or whatever) and reveal himself as Jack.
What if, almost before we’ve had chance to take in what’s happened, the ‘new’ Jack is killed, (perhaps by walking into a trap set by the Losties for the Others; perhaps by the Others expecting an attack by Dharma)? That way (in true Lost fashion) he wouldn’t be able to answer any questions, and we’d be left to speculate for the next eight months.
Comment by Clovis Sangrail — May 8, 2007 @ 2:26 am
Wait, how could it be Charlie?
Charlie is not in the finale, if he died, he would’ve died in “Greatest Hits”.
Comment by Eidnoreid — May 8, 2007 @ 5:08 am
I agree that the fan favorite that will sacrifice himself could be Sawyer. After The Brig I was saying that his story is pretty wrapped up with his revenge quest being fulfilled. A selfless act is the next logical step in his personal development. I hope it’s not so (rather it is Charlie) but that’s my guess.
Comment by Mumbles — May 8, 2007 @ 5:34 am
You can also see a “Star Wars” connection between Sawyer and Darth Vader here. Sawyer was hated when we first met him. We later find out that he’s such an a-hole, because he was sort of recreated that way (James>Sawyer & Anakin>Vader). He has now killed the man who recreated him, and with a sacrifice his redemption story would be complete. The only problem with this is that I recall someone having to do with the show saying that Sawyer and Locke are the most indespensible characters. In Sawyer’s case it’s because of the female fanbase factor. However, metaphorically Sawyer’s dead. James lives…

The same spoiler says the Charlie and many of the new characters in “Greatest Hits” are also listed as being in “Through the Looking Glass.”
We seem to have the connections of Jack/Charlie/Naomi/Desmond/Penny
all coming together and possibly all inter connecting in a surprising way.
In “Greatest Hit” spoilers indicate that on the same day that Charlie see’s Desmond in the past he saves a woman possibly Naomi from a mugger.
Comment by H20 — May 8, 2007 @ 6:37 am
Most likely to die in this order IMO are:
1. Sawyer
2. Charlie
3. Sayid
4. Wild cards are Bernard, Rose and/or Claire/Sun/Jin
Desmond, Jack or Locke will not die. They are too central to the storyline and they still have more backstory to tell. Juliet provides conflict for Jack/Kate so she won’t go. Ben provides conflict for all, so he stays as well.
Comment by T — May 8, 2007 @ 7:45 am
Charlie, Sayid & Kate are all going to die in the next 2 episodes. i won’t miss charlie that much but i’m sure i will miss Kate & Sayid
Comment by Clayton — May 8, 2007 @ 8:03 am
Please, for the love of Lost, DO NOT KILL SAWYER OR SAYID!! Please take Kate and Juliet off the show — Will miss Charlie . . .
Comment by dreamingoflost — May 8, 2007 @ 9:09 am
Maybe sacrifice doesn’t have to mean death. It could mean leaving/staying with the Others.
Comment by thenumberarebad — May 8, 2007 @ 9:47 am
Desmond wouldn’t sacrifice himself when he is so close to getting back with Penny. I could see Charlie sacrificing himself in hopes of getting Claire and Aaron off the island. Plus she was supposed to raise him alone.
Comment by thenumbesrarebad — May 8, 2007 @ 9:52 am
The “game changer” will be that Jack will become the new “leader” of the Others once Ben gets killed. Just my opinion.

Jack,Locke,Sawyer,Sayid,Desmond = Hearth of LOST

Just a thought; Anyone not buried comes back to life!! Remember the funny looks from the others, when shown where people are buried. How about mikhil!!! Why did locke take the body and not just the head of his father back to the others????
Comment by birdman — May 8, 2007 @ 2:49 pm
this might sound totally stupid but i think it will have something to do with to do with jack and claire being brother and sister… maybe claire will betray jack once she knows he is her brother and that will affect all the losties… idk… i have been toying w/ the idea of the significance of them being siblings and the others love using whatever info they can against the losties… it sounds much lamer once i have typed it but whatever.

Nice.
It definitely lives up to a “Through The Looking Glass” mantra…
Comment by swift_rift — May 9, 2007 @ 7:00 am
Lindelof/Cuse have said in their recent interview with EW there are ‘many rooms’ undiscovered….
The fan favorite ’sacrifice’ (IMO) would be Hurley. Desmond/Charlie a close second… Sayid/Sawyer are the dark horses… Jack anyone?
Jack would be perfect to unraveling the entire story of the Island, Dharma, the Others, EVERYTHING. If they killed him off though that would be ‘the rattlesnake in the mailbox’ to bring all of it crashing down and reveal all of the Island’s Secrets.
It is plausible.
Comment by swift_rift — May 9, 2007 @ 8:04 am
Is it also plausible that Sun might be the ’sacrifice’?
Comment by swift_rift — May 9, 2007 @ 8:18 am
It may well be Jin that dies I think that, he is aspiring to be great men and ultimatly by sacrifising himself he achieves this.
id say that his the most likely character and his death will probably be from a heroic act.
Comment by Semih — May 9, 2007 @ 3:56 pm
I hope jack dies, his character is so boring i prefer a more darker character to be a hero such as Locke or perhaps Sayer or Sayid (could be redeming their past sins, etc) but maybe the Characters death is Charlie, thus Desmond fails and gets aids.
Comment by Matthew — May 9, 2007 @ 4:35 pm
anyone considered that the game changer is that all the extras all say “f-you” to the main cast and go on their own adventure which is season 4 having occasional guest stars of the old main cast either that or Jack is revealed to be the 12th cylon from BSG (way better than LOST) and thus makes up for being crap
Comment by Matthew — May 9, 2007 @ 4:51 pm
Sawyer was reading Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead” not long ago. And anyone who knows Miss Rand understands that she does not believe in “sacrifice.”
“It only stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.”
- an excerpt from The Fountainhead
I think Sawyer is far too important to the story to die this far from the end anyway.
Comment by Jeremy — May 9, 2007 @ 5:03 pm
i agree with Semih, i feel like jin thinks he isn’t holding his weight as a husband, and saving the losties (especially sun) would make up for that
Comment by mandy — May 10, 2007 @ 12:13 am

Everybody has their favorite. And everyone hopes that (so-and-so) doesn’t die. Well somebodies gotta go and it better not be Locke.
Comment by (insert name here) — May 15, 2007 @ 1:29 pm
To all the Lost fans, Jack was not intended to be a major character from the beginning, his rol was extended. He can be killed at the end of the arc. Locke is a mayor character, he will not die that easily.
Comment by Agustin — May 16, 2007 @ 8:17 am
i think jin may die. he’s a fan favorite and ratings might go up if sun was left a widow. so yeah that’s my guess. if not him, sayid. what left is there to tell of sayid’s flashbacks? and sun could always continue the jin/sun flashbacks.
Comment by joey — May 18, 2007 @ 3:51 pm
lost favorite?: sayid, without a doubt.
i heard that there’s gonna be a lostie “showdown” between jack and someone else.
i also found out the few favorite chracterS that die in the finale: one of them, the obvious, charlie
then kate and sayid.
kate is presumably going 2 die because of a friendly shot by Jack.
and sayid? not sure. but since he’s willing to risk his life for every1 else on the island, i’m guessing his fate is relevant to that.
i can’t say for sure that these ’spoilers’ are even spoilers considering i’m not absolutely positively sure, but ya know… maybe it’s true?
p.s. CAN’T WAIT FOR THE FINALE!
