More Ancient Artifacts Spotted!
Was doing the usual intensive scan of next weeks promos and came across a very curious image. Look at the upper right hand corner and you will see what looks like a platform with some sort of pillar jutting out from its centers. All of the others in the picture are heading in the direction of this pillar.
At first I thought it might be a tree, but there is most certainly a platform and there are plenty of objects around it to compare in size to. This is obviously yet another monument belonging to the mysterious four toed people. Guess we’ll have to wait for 3.19 to find out!

Furthermore… one of the figures on the platform is wearing Locke’s color scheme.

Other things I found interesting on the preview for next week. There is a flash image of the black rock. Could someone be going back to get some dynomite?
Hurley’s shooting of a flaire gun. Not intersting just odd.
I paused the frame where someone is choking Jin. To me it looks like it might be desmond’s hands. What brings me to this conclusion is the there is a shot of desmond running through the jungle with kind of a worried/scared look on his face and Jin running through with a very pissed off look.

What I was wondering is.. if the Others used the Barracks and the Sonic fence.. why would they now go sleep in the ‘jungle’ where Smokie might find them? I suspect these are shots of the Dharma centric episode… the Other Others… more violent.
Ps- I squinted nearly til I passed out… but I think “the cowboy hat” is in the background, not on a head. ;=)

Four toed People = others. And Also i believe this may be were “The Brig” Or a another Hatch!cause i think they are waiting there until something or someone comes…Maybe Jacob?

Perhaps they are still within the confines of the sonic fence.
I think Ben is returning them all to a state of “no leftovers”, meaning a return to simplicity, which would place them back in the Island’s favor, thereby helping Ben heal faster.
That was a run on sentence.

I think that structure might be a monument or grave of Magnus Hanso. After looking at the promo photos for ep 19, it looks like the Brig is in the Black Rock and I bet the Others are camped near there which is where the final resting place of Magnus Hanso is supposed to be.

They’re not worshiping the pillar, there are clearly two people on the platform, one person on the platform is wearing Locke’s color scheme and the other would appear to be wearing either Sawyer’s or Ben’s color scheme. That other person is tied to the pillar with arms raised. Not worship, but sacrifice perhaps?

But back to the picture, is it possible it’s not a platform and pillar, but yet another isolated foot? Maybe this time, they go into the jungle behind it and find the rest of the statue lying on the ground…

Looks to me like Locke is making a speech. The others are gathering around, preparing to here what “he” has to say. They are really wanting to hear “him.”

Hey Johobi n Melanie I know where your thoughts are leading you but I think lost is supposed to be its own ‘world secret’ not part of ‘the others’ 2001 secret’ (couldnt resist) I hope not ind06, Still if it turns out to be a stone animal Im gonna be pissed bigtime at the writers or producers or whoever made the call. Lost is too beautiful creatively to be used by such lame mythology. I think its a platform that leads down into a shaft hence the rising structure, designed for a rope pully lift. Maybe one of the c4’s or c3’s or something similar from the blast map.
