I think Jack is bonding so closely with Juliet due to his seeing Kate doing the wild thing with Sawyer. Jack’s bonding with Juliet is a kind of punishment of Kate, as well as a reaction to what he saw. What this means to me is, Jack really does love Kate and not Juliet.

That was kind of cute as hell. I really felt bad for Kate– she’s putting on the charm, and Jack keeps his cool. At the same time, I understand Jack’s position, and he it’s reasonable.
I know it’s stupid to spend much time discussing the love lives of LOST characters, but maybe this just tells me I need a girlfriend.

I’m starting to think that Jack is on to Juliet. He’s not stupid, he’s demonstrated that time and time again. I also believe that’s why he had 2 canisters in his house when Kate found him. I believe he may have gassed himself a second time. Actually, I think Sayid may be in on it too. Maybe, in the same way Juliet is setting them up, Jack and Sayid got together while Juliet and Kate were out in the jungle and devised a plan to make it appear that Sayid was going to press her for answers but Jack would come to her rescue. Thus, giving a Juliet a false sense of security with Jack, much like the false security that she believes he has. It wouldn’t be the first time that Jack and Sayid put their heads together. Hopefully this time the end result won’t be Jack in a shark tank.

After Juliette’s ‘confession” about using Claire in trying to figure out why island women keep dying in childbirth, you would think that Jack, Sawyer and Kate would catch on to the fact that the Others (including juliette) engineered kate and sawyer’s whoopie session in the cages (skimpy outfit for Kate, hard work together to create bonding, etc) to GET KATE pregnant ON the island. Remember, Juliette needs to see if an OUTSIDER who gets pregnant ON the island will also die, for her experiments, because this variable has not been determined- if it is the conception location, or it is the island, or it is the Hostiles, etc.

HawaiiHeaven, you are brilliant! We know the Others have no hesitation using outsiders like guinea pigs and I’ve been wondering since season one when the baby boom would start, considering that Sawyer Drugs does not have a wide selection of contraceptives in stock. Who would use the Dharma brand pill and condoms anyway? But I still didn’t see that one coming! Plus, for all the nature vs. nurture types, concentrated criminal elements genes to see if bad judgement and poor impulse control really are genetic. A whole new topic for us to ponder in season 4. I love it!

What abount Jack sayin to Kate: “enjoy it! i’m sure something bad is going to happen soon” or something like that…
i personally don’t think that Jack’s aware of Ben’s plan and Juliet’s mission with the Losties… because when we see Ben double checking everything with her at the end of One of us, he says that Jack will trust her… he wouldn’t say this if Jack was “playing” with Others.
I agree with the fact that the Others have caused sawyer and kate cage copulation… for two reasons: try to make kate pregnant, and letting jack see it. Then we should assume that jack’s temporarily escape from his aquarim cell was supposed to happen as well.
If this is true, the Others made a strong move because they knew his feelings about kate… and knew he was the leader among the losties…
Juliet has probably been acting since the beginning… maybe the idea of juliet showing an hidden message to jack on the tv was also ben’s. any mean would have been good to convince him doing the surgery.. because they know the doc’s etics… he would have never let him die.
last thing… isn’t Sun pregnant ????

Yep she is but we don’t know if it was from her English Tutor (pre-island) or if the island cured Jin’s fertility and it was after they crashed.
