The Greatest Hits - Spoiler
Hey, this is actually old, but I have not seen it spread out anywhere so I’m going to throw it out and see what you guys think.
In Kristin’s "The Vine" from 4/12, Dominic Monaghan describes a scene in his flashback where he is tortured. Here is the transcript:
Dominic: Charlie get’s himself into a situation where he is being tortured. And, instead of dwelling on the bad side of being tortured, He goes into his head and he starts to write a song. You’re going to hear him sing a couple of lines from the song. And, there’s the hope that we are going to kind of, um, finish off that song. So there is a chance you might here it in more of a complete fashion. Music is a huge thing for Charlie, and a big thing for me, and hopefully it will rise up in the finale.
Charlie tortured? By Who? Why? What would Charlie know that someone else would need to know so badly that they would torture him? Crazy!

possibly he means MENTALLY tortured, not physically

Smack dealers typically aren’t nice, easy-going folks.
If Charlie owes them money, there’s going to be payback.

Prediction….. going back to Doc J’s absorbing time fields theory… Charlie’s song is going to turn up in the finale as having been completed. Pack this in with my observation about how when Charlie saw Desmond flipping out his “This is why we don’t do drugs” comment served as the beginning of more earlier meditation on this….

I still don’t think Charlie’s needing to die has much to do with Desmond, but with Jack saving him. Regarding Charlie being tortured…Locke isn’t the only one to have “communed” with the Island. Who told Charlie to baptize Aaron?

Interesting even though there are to plot Sums of this episode.

I have always noticed Charlie’s black hoody it seems like either dark symbolism of evil or like a religious cloak of a preist. In the flashes that Eko saw when Ana/Smokie came to him one was of someone with a black hoodie does anyone know if it is Charlie, Ethan (who was seen wearing hoodie before) or someone else?

yo doc. i thought you were going to keep spoilers off the front page. It would really help those of us who’d like to avoid them.

Charlie is def working with the others for some reason or another, that’s why he killed Ethan to hide the fact, and how he knew earlier that Claire should just “try” the unidentified syringe that were with the supplies…Also the real reason he kidnapped Sun….His being tortured is a flashback on the island, when he was with the others!!!!

bf-
Did it really surprise you that much to find spoilers in the article called “The Greatest Hits - Spoilers”?
The heading, mentions the fact that it contains spoilers, and then you have to click on the link to read it.
This isnt brain Science, if you dont want to be spoiled, dont read on it. If you can’t restrain yourself then its your own problem.

So who is watching the watchmen? Question for you Watchmen, how much of Desmond’s story do you believe will run parallel to Dr. Manhatten’s?
Rtd2, that was an original, plausible comment. I like it. Maybe the island is desperately trying to rid itself of Charlie, because the 815ers are his team and Charlie is throwing the game…

1st. my roomate
2nd. I think Heroes is already milking off my teet a little too generously, I don’t know how much milk will be left for desmondo. It’s certainly a good comparison, but I feel that Desmond’s story may be tied into the mythology of the show in a really specific and important way.
So I hope the writers arent pulling too heavily from watchmen or anything else. I’d like to think that they really are giving us some great original Science Fiction, and like all thing creative it’s gonna borrow and rob and steal, but it’s also doing it in a fun, creative and compelling way.
Then again it’s LOST, so maybe Des will turn blue next season. Fingers crossed!

So Charlie is getting tortured in island time and a lyric comes to him…
You all everybody.. acting like those stupid people..wearing expensive clothes…
Oooh, time is all bendy!

Time must be bendy or something.
As i posted on the forums, If they flew for 8 hours and left Australia at 14.55
They couldnt possibly crashed on the island at 16.16, as 16.16 would place them somewhere in Russia, on the other side of the planet.
If i did my sums correctly, they are either missing about 12 hours, or they are somewhere completely different then we all think
