Kristin Foils the ‘Really Real’ Flashback Schedule and More!
Damn that Kristin Veatch from E!online. According to the information from her latest LOST spoilers, the ‘Really Real’ flashback schedule is a giant roll of aluminum foil. She also managed to snag some finale info that is quite interesting…
- Cathy in St. Louis, Missouri: Okay, lady—you were on the set of LOST for a week. Tell us everything! I signed in blood swearing not to divulge the bigger things I saw while visiting the LOST set (and oh, lordy, were there some bigger things!), but that doesn’t mean I can’t tell you what I didn’t see. For example, that the episode after Sun and Jin’s "D.O.C." is neither a Jack episode nor a Sawyer episode, as has been speculated. Oh, and from what I can tell, it’s finally gettin’ to be Lord of the Flies time. Get ready. It’s gonna be good.
As far as the plot-line for D.O.C is concerned, we know that Desmond finds the mysterious new inhabitant, (who is probably the parachutist / Naomi played by Marsha Thomason), in Catch-22 and relies on an unlikely nemesis to save her in D.O.C. So if there is bleed over, the nemesis or even Naomi could be the one featured in 3.19’s flashback. Another possibility that was suggested, (I think at DarkUFO but can’t remember first thing this morning), is Anthony Cooper. This might make sense as it appears that Sawyer is going to have a chance to deliver his letter. That scene would definitely constitute some ‘Lord of the Flies’ time, as Kristin suggests.
- Emily in Kingwood, Texas: LOST! The casting call for the final two hours of season three includes a single mother, a doctor, a mortician, a pharmacist and a stewardess. The pharmacist and the stewardess are hardasses, the doc is a chief-of-staff, the single mother is tired and the mortician is kind of depressed, all of which adds up to…uh, you tell me!
Hmmmmm… color me foiled. Looks like this could very likely be Jack centric after all. Is it just me or does this look like a game of ‘who doesn’t belong’? Namely, the stewardess.

I thought they were called Flight Attendants now.

noooooooooooooo…. I don’t want jack flashback… they are pretty good… but the finale has to be of a new charachter… like Ben…
Comment by mike — April 10, 2007 @ 6:22 am
Interesting stuff. Im looking forward to all of this. Im glad so many different reports are coming out. it means I can read the spoilers without fear of being actually spoiled!
Comment by jalocke — April 10, 2007 @ 6:27 am
That sounds like a Christian is alive season ending bombshell… Perfect guest star list for Christian flashback where we see how he died… or didn’t? What happened to Christian’s body. Maybe it was left in Sydney, or maybe we see someone get on the plane and sit in the tail section. Someone that we didn’t expect to be on the plane and was taken?
If I was going to bet, I think this is a foiler.
Comment by Blackrockbob — April 10, 2007 @ 6:46 am
I have been reading a number of the Lost forums and there has been a lot of speculation regarding Jacks tatoos. I have not heard any mention of Juliet’s. Did anyone else notice it? The photo in latest issue of Lost Magizine shows the tatoo clearly on her left shoulder under her shirt. Elizabeth Mitchell does not have that tatoo.
Comment by Fairhope Alabama — April 10, 2007 @ 7:59 am
boonesghost: I wonder if that is a hint?
thirdflr: What part are your having trouble with? All the foil references are references to previous info now appearing to be foilers.
jalocke: How right you are. Perhaps the LOST folks have their covert ops team out there spreading foilers again like they did prior to the start of season 3.
blakrockbob: Interesting point here. Christian’s coffin was empty, could this be because Desmond’s time trip disturbed the time line in such a way that he did not die in Sydney? This might seem counter-intuitive to time travel, but if you subscribe to the logic of some time travel stories it is possible to have ‘artifacts’ remain in your time line even when a time traveler has changed things.

the unlikely nemesis is patchy.
Comment by goldenmalicious — April 10, 2007 @ 8:48 am
How is it that I am still getting progressively more hyped about this finale? I thought I’d gone as far as my brain would allow.
Comment by Jimmy Zer0 — April 10, 2007 @ 9:17 am
Whoa, Doc. That time travel stuff with Christian is freaky. Whatever happens, it seems like everything right now is really building up for some excitement. It feels like things are about to get even crazier than we can imagine. Can’t wait for the “Lord of the Flies” moments.
Comment by AnotherOther — April 10, 2007 @ 9:23 am
To me it sounds like Jack’s dad is alive. Also, Doc if you get to talk to anyone again. Ask them why Paulo was with Claire in a promo photo for the N&P episode showing when the hatch exploded… They didn’t use it in the final episode and that is where Bernard was standing before. I would still like to think when Desmond went back in time N&P replaced Bernard and Rose via a Butterfly effect.
Keep up the fun site!
Comment by thedanceman — April 10, 2007 @ 9:25 am
Hey Danceman. They answered that in the podcast last week. That was part of the Expose’ flash back sequences and they just ran out of time and cut it.
Comment by docarzt — April 10, 2007 @ 9:55 am
The Lord of the Flies comment probably relates to the fact that contact with the outside world has been cut off. If we believe Ben, that if they left in the sub they could not come back, we should infer that DHARMA cannot find or return to the island either. Therefore, no more supply drops. Which would put them in the spot where they were before they found the hatch. Another let down of something hyped by Kristin or others. Seems like the stuff they dont tease is always much more interesting than the stuff they do.
Comment by Higdon — April 10, 2007 @ 10:22 am
Long time lurking. Am I missing something. For months this has just been a positive place to read intelligent discussion both from the people that run the website and the commentators, but now for some reason this guy posts and for the past two posts people are pretending they can’t understand right away. Then arguing that it is the posters fault while everybody else seems to understand just fine. You need to be more paranoid doctor arzt and consider banning these people that start these off topic discussions. Like this third floor guy. Who cannot understand what this means? How does it advance the discussion to make such comments?
On the post itself. Well, seems your flash back schedule is completely discredited then. I wonder if she used that archaic term, ’stewardess’, on purpose?
Comment by ArtosIT — April 10, 2007 @ 10:33 am
Wasn’t Cindy a stewardess? Cindy, the one that got taken by the Others and who was watching Jack in the cage? Could it be Cindy in the 2 hour final episode.
Great site, Doc. I cannot believe how much space was wasted discussing typos, grammar, etc. Personally, I visit the site to get the insight! THANKS FOR YOUR WORK!
Comment by lynstir — April 10, 2007 @ 10:45 am
Does any 1 have any ideas on who the “unlikely nemesis” could be??
Also “goldenmalicious” , why do you think it is patchy?
Comment by rob — April 10, 2007 @ 11:19 am
Stewardess + mortician make it a good possibility that a big part of the FB *could* be centered around Christian’s death (real or otherwise). But I’ll also say that everyone who’s mentioned it is right: it is indeed curious that the term “stewardess” was used…could this indicate a flashback considerably further back in time than what we’ve dealt with before?
Comment by Richard Lennox — April 10, 2007 @ 11:22 am
Oh wowsa. I just thought of something. What if Christian faked his death, and paid off the bogus psychic to divert Claire to the US? Seems like a huge reach, but y’never know. When he found out he had a grandchild on the way, and realized Claire wouldn’t have anything to do with him anymore… okay I just need to stop now…
Comment by docarzt — April 10, 2007 @ 11:46 am
AND didn’t Christian have somebody high up in hospital administration that leaked him info on the crash? Wouldn’t he be aware of a pending grandchild as well?
Comment by docarzt — April 10, 2007 @ 11:54 am
Sounds like a flashback that might pick up at Claire’s Mom’s funeral.
BlackRockBob: A Christian FB would be unexpected. The list of characters also makes me draw that same conclusion, if the list is real.
I am halfway expecting this season to end with Scott Bakula dressed in drag, looking into a mirror saying, “oh,boy!”
Comment by TabulaRasa — April 10, 2007 @ 12:01 pm
Doc,
It took me a second, but I assume you are saying that someone told him about the car crash that brought him to Sydney earlier this season. I just deleted that episode from the dvr to make room for this week’s shows, but I vaguely remember Christian saying something to that affect. So, he would have known about the the grandchild as well, so much for doctor patient confidentiality. But what would be the purpose of him faking his death? Even to the detail that his son would have to identify his body in the morgue. And why get Claire to the US if he pretending to be dead.
Doc, good job. Thanks to you, I am getting nothing done today.
Comment by TabulaRasa — April 10, 2007 @ 12:19 pm
Good thoughts Doc. What if Christian had also paid the pending couple whom Claire was giving the child to. This would mean it is Christian’s fault that Jack, Claire, and Aaron (the mysterious waver in the season 2 special features?) are on the island. Perhaps they are not “supposed” to be there. This makes Christian Shephard (it’s all in the name) a very important figure. Could there be a redemption of Anakin Skywa, er I mean Christian Shephard theme upcoming? We know the writers and producers are self proclaimed Star Wars geeks. One of them (in the season 1 special features) mentions that there was an immediate connection when meeting JJ Abrams, because he was wearing a vintage Star Wars t-shirt. Thoughts Doc? Anyone???
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 12:34 pm
Dude… I’m just letting loose with the wild and crazy ideas. Now some of it might not hold water. Maybe Christian is dead. BUT, I do think that he found out about Claire’s pregnancy, her wanting to give up the child for adoption, and somehow got the psychic to lead her to LA. Maybe his plan was to shanghai her there, maybe it was to, without her knowledge, arrange the adoption with someone he knew. Now another thing is… if the island absorbs the essences of people, their memories, desires, etc, then perhaps the island absorbed what he knew about the grandchild, and in some twisted way absorbed that desire to obtain the child. This is far fetched stuff folks, not a chance of it being true… just riffing…
Comment by docarzt — April 10, 2007 @ 12:35 pm
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that I am really hoping for a Ben flashback, and the De Groot possible episode had me wetting my pants. I hope these ideas remain, as I don’t wear pee pee pants all that often…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 12:37 pm
Another thought Doc. What if this higher up with the inside info for Christian is/was a prominent member of DHARMA or the others? All kinds of possibilities here…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 12:40 pm
rob-
it doesn’t make sense that the “unlikely nemesis” would be someone like tom because hes more of a “likely” nemesis(and i just can’t picture that dude as a nemesis of any kind - hes too dopey). patchy fits the “unlikely” profile because we think hes dead. in one of their podcasts, TPTB didn’t confirm or deny patchy’s death.
oh and abc says that the actor for patchy is in the episode.
Comment by goldenmalicious — April 10, 2007 @ 12:46 pm
I got it! Dr. Marvin “1 arm” Candle is the higher up. We know he can’t be performing too many surgeries with his limb deficiencies, so it makes perfect sense that he would be a hospital chief of staff or something to that affect. Doc, keep riffing. I have off today, and my brain needs the exercise…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 12:52 pm
I hear SO much nonsense about Wickman/Candle that I have gotten sick of hearing/seeing his name.
That being said, this sounds like the first one in a LONG time that actually seems plausable. Very nice thought Caps.

There’s not really any information here to proclude a Ben flashback for the finale.
The single mother could very likely be Ben’s.
Comment by Rain — April 10, 2007 @ 1:28 pm
Delivering a letter from Sawyer to the ‘real’ Sawyer has nothing to do with lord of the flies! Lord of the flies suggests that there may be two waring factions of ‘others’ or possibly on the beach(with Jack and Juliet vs Sawyer, Sayid, against them).
It could also mean that Ben is overthrown and cast out in the woods… but possibly healed? (being overthrown and becoming one with the island may have healed him).. and Ben has done the healing.
It’s also possible that Desmond considers Juliet a Nemesis… it’s also possible that it could be Smokey.. or if we’re playing ‘black box’, I’ll go WAY out there and suggest… Charles Widemore. Shoot, if Locke can bring his dad.. why not Penny’s dad.

Doc, I’ve been thinking on your “bad twin” theory (which btw you’ve never posted part III) along with “the box” and the light & dark theme (Locke explaining backgammon to Walt is an important use of foreshadowing). I’ve been fascinated with parallel universes for years. I’m convinced that “the box” is actually a gateway to a parallel universe. It’s well thought that the same people/energy that exists on our plane is what constitutes the parallel universe. That universe (while structured the same) often turns out differently because of different decissions made and directions taken. What if one universe consists of a light side of ones energy, and the other contains the dark. Light and dark exist in both universes, but they may differ depending on the different decissions/directions. I’m thinking the Anthony Cooper they pulled may be the light side of that man. This will go a long way in Locke’s purpose and development in LOST. We may also see more “bad/good twins” in the future. Doc, I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on that theory. I know it seems that your interview with the big guys may have debunked much of it, but I believe you may have touched on something…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 1:43 pm
Timmy: It could be the beginning of the ‘flies’ because previous rumors have Locke bringing Sawyer to Cooper. This could be perceived as an attempt to bring Sawyer over to their side. Sort of a piece offering.
DDW: I hope you don’t take my animosity towards Kristin seriously. Wrong is wrong. This source now gets classed under rumors next time.
Cap10tripps: Actually my interview with Darlton did not debunk it, because in my story there are no twins. They are actually duplicates. Twins are very specifically and scientifically different from Twins. Couldn’t you just hear their sigh of relief at having barely escaped a major revelation? I’m not serious, don’t worry. None the less, I actually wrote that more as a piece of fan-fic and got a little disenchanted by having to crush it so much. If there is still demand, I’ll finish the story.
Comment by docarzt — April 10, 2007 @ 1:51 pm
As for Merl’s “crossings” theory combined with the “Dark Tower” references, the island is the nexus of the parallel universes. This “box” is probably the question mark (below the island), while the other universe (the one the 815ers come from) is above the island. The island doesn’t really exist in either universe. In my opinion it is the original plane of existence. The fate of our worlds will depend on the fate of the island. I believe the writers and producers will come up with a theory of creation that began on our beloved island…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 1:52 pm
Doc, by saying “bad twin” theory I meant your reference to that book being a hint of things to come. I guess they did debunk twins somewhat(after making mention of the two on the boat), but did not debunk duplicates. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t they also say we may see that in the future (again referencing the twins/duplicates in the boat)? That being said, you have my full on support in finishing those thoughts. You know I’m a theory junkie…
Comment by cap10tripps — April 10, 2007 @ 1:59 pm
Didn’t the producers say that the whole “Penny actively looking for Desmond” thing would pay off in the finale? I, like many others, assume that Christian Sheppard isn’t dead. Maybe Penny knows this, and is able to contact him (assuming he’s still in Australia) in her effort to find the island.
Comment by ParkwaySouth — April 10, 2007 @ 2:32 pm
Okay, here we go with the parallel universe stuff…
Let’s say the Jacob character is Christian Shepherd from the reality where he is alive and Jack was not on flight 815. His desire to see his son and daughter caused events in a second reality where he dies and Jack is on the plane. (Remember the reference where “Jacob’s list” did not include Jack.)
So. maybe it is Christian at the heart of the story that manipulates all events to his desires.

Fairhope Alabama - The tattoo on Juliette’s shoulder on page 11 of the LOST Mag Issue 10 “Love Island” appears to be embossed on her blouse as it’s not shear fabric.
So excited to get to see Sawyer confront Cooper! It better not be in the last 20 seconds of the finale, either.
I always thought Christian’s remains made it on the flight. It just wasn’t processed if we recall the outburst Jack had at the ticket counter. Perhaps this episode deals with Jack rushing to the depressed mortician, paying him off for the paperwork claiming it is processed, and ta-da! Butt in seat–body in hold. Uh-oh! Air crash! Something carried the casket into the cave for what? Restoration? Yeah, Christian was cured by the energy of Craphole Island but where the Hell is he???

Ben’s Wheels - The spider recently crossed my mind if he faked his death, but that would mean he was faking his binge, and THAT I just don’t buy. It’s bugged me since Jack found the caves…All those dolls and the casket…They didn’t fall in there–it’s a CAVE! Something with minimal faculties dragged it all in there. Someone left Adam & Eve there perhaps to heal…Maybe they’re Ben’s mum and dad? bom-bom-bom!
It never occured to me that Penny could be looking for someone other than Des. I can feel the wheels turning…It’s the picture on her nightstand–a red-herring perhaps? Could daddy have been caught on Craphole Island during the Hostiles Uprising?

I am with you JackIsEvil. Don’t forget that after the crash Jack woke up in the forest, while everyone else was on the beach. I always thought that was worth remembering.
Regarding Claire- I’ve always felt that the psychic put her on the plane knowing she would never make it to LA, whether or not he knew they would “survive” is still questionable, but I love the thought that when he said the baby couldn’t be raised by another, he meant an other.
