Lost 3.16 Easter Eggs

What does this image mean to you? Hmmm…. looks she’s entering 16, then 23…. why does that ring a bell? Oh, I KNOW! Because we’re a bunch of damn nerds, that’s why! Yes, the numbers did make a partial appearance… Darlton, you better have an explanation for this. For all this and more, read on…

Nice. BTW typo in the heading. it says ep16 this is the easter eggs for ep15.
Thanks for the easer eggs

Nice easter eggs, but I don’t think Kate’s cowboy-up hat should be counted as an “easter egg”.

I love that the mysteries of Lost aren’t easily solved and all, but can SOMEONE on the show who isnt Hurley PLEASE give us some more insight into the numbers already?

the hat is actually an easter egg because “cowboy up” is a lost-ism, so the hat was sort of a throw back to that. And how cool is it you can actually buy one.

Thanks for those, I was wondering if it showed which numbers she punched in. I like the Mousetrap reference. But I agree with thedanceman about the cap. Its cool to know where she got it, but not really an egg, eh?

All I know is Juliet is a dirty girl and she needs to spend some time in a nice hot bubble bath with me. BTW, who started the rumor that Boone was the gay character????

This is to boonesghost and JimmyZer0:
BG: Shannon’s comment to Boone in the airport in Razzle Dazzle that he was “flirting with random guys”, was actually her second hint that Boone was gay. In season one, when Boone was going off into the jungle every day with Locke to first hunt boar and then to excavate the Swan, she said to him, “you go off into the jungle with Locke everyday at sunrise and stay out until after dark…is he your new boyfriend?”
JZ: From the source (Lenny)–In season one, “Numbers”, Hurley goes to the asylum to ask Lenny what the numbers mean. Hurley tells Lenny that he won the Lottery using the numbers. Lenny says, “You used the numbers to play the Lottery? You shouldn’t have done that. NOW YOU’VE OPENED THE BOX…” When I heard those last five words, chills ran down my spine.

Of course it is an egg because it is a subtle reference to a previous piece of dialog. Probably a lot of folks don’t remember the ‘cowboy up’ line, and if your not the type that reads hats in tv shows, you wouldn’t have known the reference even if you had remembered it. Cowboy up hat, definitely easter egg.

Cowboy Up has multiple references. Yes, it references Lost dialogue, but it also references the 2003 Boston Red Sox, who used that phrase as a rallying cry. And the Red Sox have been noted in flashbacks, dialogue and on Alcatraz with Jack.

The numbers have been often thought as being the Valenzetti equation (from “The Lost Experience). This wasn’t given much creedence until we saw Radzinski’s blast door map. On it he has scribblings of certain mysteries and landmarks he’d uncovered. One scribbling references the Valenzetti equation, so now the theory of the numbers are the equation holds a lot of creedence now…

I have been reading a number of the Lost forums and there has been a lot of speculation regarding Jacks tatoos. I have not heard any mention of Juliet’s. Did anyone else notice it? The photo in latest issue of Lost Magizine shows the tatoo clearly on her left shoulder under her shirt. Elizabeth Mitchell does not have that tatoo.

I didn’t quite know where to post this but has anyone noticed that ‘Cerberus’ is mentioned at times i.e the blast door map. Cerberus, as many of you will know, is the three headed dog that guarded the gates of hell. I found it interesting that the front of ‘Smokey’ (which I think we can all agree is the afformentioned Cerberus) split into three parts when it hit the sonic fence. Does anyone have any insight into what juliet saw when smokey flashed (no pun intended) at her? Because she became evermore co-operative after that. And my memory of this instance is quite vague but didn’t Locke say that when he looked into it he saw ‘a beautiful bright light’? I may be wrong, feel free to tell me.
