I’m all about the Ben flashbacks. I love that fact that he graduated from Drake University in my home state of Iowa!!!
Comment by Schippers — April 4, 2007 @ 10:48 am
Desmond episode will kick ass
Comment by Brandon — April 4, 2007 @ 10:53 am
I feel like a complete idiot. I check your site out all the time and watch the show faithfully, but WHO are the DeGroots? Where did I miss them?
Comment by mati — April 4, 2007 @ 11:07 am
Is this 100% confirmed????????????
Comment by Vid — April 4, 2007 @ 11:09 am
JUST last night I was reading everywhere about breaking news for the finale being a Jack centered episode, and they were credible sites. I’ve always found this site the most credible, but I don’t understand why there are these differing ideas about the finale…
Comment by johobi — April 4, 2007 @ 11:13 am
@mati: The DeGroots are founders of Dharma Iniative so this is actually “Dharma centric episode” ?
Comment by Vid — April 4, 2007 @ 11:17 am
mati,
for info on the degroots either rewatch season 2 or go to lostpedia.
they are the couple the from the Dharma videos that were played in the hatch stations.
Comment by Dr. Nope — April 4, 2007 @ 11:18 am
thanks so much for the info
Comment by mati — April 4, 2007 @ 11:25 am
DeGroots….Hmmm does this mean that we will meet them BEFORE we see what their life was like
Comment by Locke's stolen kidney — April 4, 2007 @ 11:26 am
Oh wow. Oh wow.
I’d change the Kate flashback or the Sun and Jin flashback for another Hurley or Sawyer flashback if I had a word in it, but this looks great.
Juliet, Desmond, DeGroots(!!!) and a double dose of Ben. That’s just great.
And I hope Jack’s episode won’t be as sucky as usual…
Comment by teataine — April 4, 2007 @ 11:28 am
I can and can’t wait for the Charlie flashback because I have a feeling I know what will happen that episode with my favorite character.
Comment by DarthVibbert — April 4, 2007 @ 11:57 am
Where is this confirmed from? As of 4/4/07, Lostpedia has it listed as such:
315: Left Behind (Kate centric)
316: One of Us (Juliet centric)
317: Catch-22 (Desmond centric)
318: D.O.C. (Jin and Sun centric)
319: The Brig (Anthony Cooper centric)
320: The Man Behind the Curtain (Ben centric)
321: Greatest Hits (Charlie centric)
322/323:Through the Looking Glass (Jack centric)
Comment by Dennis1025 — April 4, 2007 @ 12:00 pm
Can’t wait for all the flashbacks!! Jack’s flashbacks are amazing *EXCEPT for the horrible ‘Stranger…’*
Comment by JSL — April 4, 2007 @ 12:03 pm
Hmmm and Lostpedia confirmed it through….. ?
Comment by docarzt — April 4, 2007 @ 12:16 pm
WHat Doc posted seems legit. From the various sources I know of. 3.19 is Jacks episode though it will deal with Locke and his dad.
3.20 is not Degroots “exactly”, but IS Dharma centric and goes back to the 70’s. As far as I know there will not be any central Island story. I would expect it to start off the same way last weeks started, with no “previously” unless that previously features all dharma stuff. My guess is we will see the following..
The Van and Roger
Marvin Candle
The Degroots
Alvar Hanso (maybe)
Something on Jeronimo Jackson.
I hear One of the people in this episode will figure prominently int he finale. Guesses are it’s Karen.
Comment by RazzleDazzle — April 4, 2007 @ 12:18 pm
I should add…22 & 23 is the 2 hour finale. It is preceded by a clip show. This should be interesting as I cannot fathom anyone NOT knowing what is going on. BUT because 3.20 will have aired, they can do a very compelling recap starting in 197? and showing us what’s happened chronologically.
So May 23 - Lost all evening.
Comment by RazzleDazzle — April 4, 2007 @ 12:22 pm
Go to hell Sayid, Rose/Bernard and Hurley. We don’t need you anymore.
Lost is going to start losing the actors that don’t want to be treated like chumps.
Comment by JoefromUtah — April 4, 2007 @ 12:45 pm
Can’t wait for more Desmond ones. I’m also really interested in the two Ben episodes. Those should be good.
Comment by AnotherOther — April 4, 2007 @ 12:47 pm
Johobi -
I was reading the same thing over a whole bunch of forums…
For the longest time, people were saying the finale would be Ben-centric, and then all the sudden everyone was saying it’d be Jack. I think the confusion stemmed from the revelation that the “snake in the mailbox” finale twist would involve Jack. There was an article about this on BuddyTV, maybe other sites as well. I think people jumped to the conclusion that since “snake-box” would involve Jack, that the finale would be Jack-centric, which isn’t necessarily the case.
So, I think Doc’s schedule makes the most sense given what we know. I also think there’s no way in hell that Darlton would subject us to FIVE HOURS of Jackbacks in one season… that would be just be ridiculous.
Comment by Jeff — April 4, 2007 @ 12:48 pm
Schippers - how and when did you learn that Ben is from Iowa and attended Drake?
Could Ben be related to the Degroots in anyway?
Anyone know when and if Billy Dee Williams will show up again?
Comment by Ceebs — April 4, 2007 @ 1:06 pm
JoefromUtah -
Sayid and Hurley each already had a flashback this year. Rose/Bernard are guest stars, and can come back or not as they please because they aren’t contracted. Also, both don’t really seem to be “in demand” actors so I’m sure they’d appreciate working in exchange for a paycheck. You don’t think they work out of the kindness of their heart, right?
Don’t mistake any actor saying “I wish they’d service my character more” as anything other than jockeying for money.
Comment by icyone — April 4, 2007 @ 1:14 pm
Yeah! Ben finally gets a flashback! That just made my day!
Comment by RedRobin — April 4, 2007 @ 1:30 pm
Ceebs — The ACTOR who plays Ben is originally from Iowa.
Comment by iowalost815 — April 4, 2007 @ 1:44 pm
no offense to docarzt, but how can you question one’s sources when you don’t provide any yourself?
Comment by postulio — April 4, 2007 @ 1:57 pm
who did YOU confirm it through?
Comment by postulio — April 4, 2007 @ 1:58 pm
Hey… I didn’t question sources first. I’m innocent. =)
Comment by docarzt — April 4, 2007 @ 2:20 pm
While there are no more Sawyer Back Flashes, check to see some crossovers from his past into that of someone else.
Comment by RazzleDazzle — April 4, 2007 @ 2:55 pm
Hey RAZZLEDAZZLE, who the heck are you? I ADORE your screen name, been annoying people with my new saying…MAN, I wish I’d thought of it first.
Comment by Vanessa — April 4, 2007 @ 5:27 pm
Where are you getting this information from? But I do hope that it is correct. While I’m sad we won’t be getting another Sayid-centric episode this season, I’m absolutely thrilled the finale will be Ben-centric. Yay!
Comment by S. A. Bonasi — April 4, 2007 @ 6:07 pm
This is completly of topic but I was watching season 2 again and in the BLACK HORSE Kate centric episode, kate wants to go to Tallahassee and the marshal says he spent a few weeks in Tallahassee. Is the Marshal the Man from Tallahassee?
Comment by Marty — April 4, 2007 @ 6:18 pm
Charlie is the precursor to the finale?! Say it ain’t so!
As a die-hard LOST fan I will go ahead and say I am delighted by the prospect that Charlie might die. I have never liked him from day one.
All the other flashback schedules look to be great. I love the idea of the Others getting flashbacks. Unless it’s revealed that Coop is the original Sawyer, I’m not sure what another J.Ford flashback could give us at this point.
Comment by Bennett — April 4, 2007 @ 7:43 pm
LOST Magazine already confirmed JACK as the final flashback…so your list is unfortunately incorrect.
Comment by jason — April 4, 2007 @ 8:37 pm
i’ve hated charlie ever since the dredful line:
guys, where are we? (silence)
Comment by jeff — April 4, 2007 @ 8:40 pm
jason…LOST magazine did no such thing…
the article says that the ’snake in the mailbox’ twist revolves around Jack, not that the final episode is Jack-centric…
that’s where they confusion is stemming from.
Comment by wedestroymyths — April 4, 2007 @ 8:50 pm
I bet Jack leaves an actual snake in Ben’s mailbox. There is no apparent reason for Ben (or anyone) to have a mailbox… but then again it’s a hidden island with underground hatches and sonic weapons fences so a mailbox would probably be the least out of place.
Comment by Ben's Wheelchair — April 5, 2007 @ 2:45 am
I love Charlie but i guess it is time for him to go he hasn’t really done anything lately but i heard the season finally was Jack centric which would be awesome because I am a true beleiver that one of the losties is Jacob but doesn’t know it yet and in my opinion its Jack.
Comment by DMS — April 5, 2007 @ 6:30 am
prediction time…
desmond’s episode - catch 22- i.e. damned if you do, damned if you don’t…
charlie episode - greatest hits - i.e. past tense usually used when an artist is retired…
put them together and we got a dead charlie…
Comment by justaslostasyou — April 5, 2007 @ 6:33 am
How would we have a Degroots flashback unless we see one or both of them alive?
Maybe Locke is taken to meet them?
I think I would rather have Jack’s flashback as the 2 hour finale than Ben. I hate Jack flashbacks, but at least maybe we could see some kind of big pay off.
Having it as Ben, then the whole episode will probably reveal too much.
Comment by Blackrockbob — April 5, 2007 @ 6:40 am
If this is the same list that came from Aint it Cool, it most assuredly is incorrect. 3.19 is Locke-centric (although the flashbacks focus on his recent past on the island.
Comment by Algernon45 — April 5, 2007 @ 9:04 am
The above episode-centric list is incorrect. The two hour finale is not Ben-centric. It would be awesome if it were, but it is not.
Comment by Ken — April 5, 2007 @ 9:42 am
This sons of bitches…they really don
Comment by Lostfan16 — April 5, 2007 @ 9:56 am
Kristin has confirmed that the episode after D.O.C is neither Jack or Sawyer’s flashbacks, and on the podcast they said that this episode is when locke is back on, and when asked if locke has another flashbacl coming they said ‘maybe’. From this I think it is likely that the episode will be locke and/or Anthony Cooper centric.
Although, this means Jack MIGHT have a flashback coming up, which means the finale could possibaly be his, because (correct me if I’m wrong) the only 100% confirmed flashbacks are Jin/Sun, Desmond and Charlie. But Dharma is probable. Which leaves 3 more flashbacks which are likely (Jack, Ben & Anthony/Locke) over 2 episodes. I feel this will have to be ‘wait and see’.
