Thanks to Paul for pointing out this very cool snippet from Damon Lindelof on USAToday:
Here’s some visual confirmation of what I vaguely hinted at in my spoilerish " LOST May Preview". And a few notes on the artistry of being vague.
Fans who had followed the alternate reality game "The LOST Experience" during the break after Season 2 have been looking for connections in the actual episodes of LOST. In D.O.C. there was finally another firm connection. Sun’s father’s company Paik Automotive was featured in the storyline, but the Korean logos visible in the background translate to "Paik Heavy Industries." The connection? P.H.I. was mentioned numerous times in The LOST Experience, but we never knew for sure that the two Paiks were the same, since it’s such a common surname in Korea. Now we have confirmation that Sun’s father is the same Mr. Paik that built the Helgus Antonius for the Hanso Foundation. Read more at Nickb123’s entry at the LOSTpedia blog.
Okay, so Juliet muttering ‘I hate you’ after shutting off her recorder was a clear indication that she is NOT bad to the bone. UNLESS (engaging crackpot cortex) there is a meta-fictional aspect to the story and she knows WE are watching and wants to fool us! (disengage crackpot.)
I want to know if you folks think that Juliet is a prisoner of some circumstance Ben has control over, or if she is just in a position she doesn’t like and is taking it out on Ben. What I think, is that she has been on the island long enough that she can’t leave either because it has physically affected her, or because she wants to be there and just feels conflicted about.
Why? Because there are bitter truths coming regarding Dharma, Jacob, Flight 815, etc., and she is privy to all of it. So to simply judge it by what we know up to know would be foolish. Yes it could be as simple as Ben/Jacob have the ability to do harm to people Juliet cares for, but this does not jive with Ben’s proclamation that his people MUST have the illusion of freedom. It would only take one person walking amongst them without freedom for that illusion to disappear, and ‘Downtown’ is a pretty small town indeed.
So, I’ve come up with a little exercise. There has to be somebody amongst the ‘bad guys’ that we can trust, who do you think it is? Take a look at the candidates and make your vote.
Okay people, here is where you chime in on D.O.C! Basically the learnings are as follows:
What did you think? Give your vote and discuss!
I’ve had some complaints about Divx, so as a courtesy I’m going to start publishing on YouTube as well, as much as I hate it. The trade off is quality. The Divx is going to be much higher quality than the YouTube but may require you to download software to watch. If you need help with divx, I encourage you to visit www.divx.com!

I don’t know about you, but from the moment Desmond uttered the words "Watch the film" in "Orientation" I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation. From the moment Dr. Marvin Candle introduced himself, and proceeded to explain the ‘Dharma Initiative’ the LOST universe shifted in a direction that would alter the narrative, look, and feel of the show inextricably. The job of setting that tone went to actor Francois Chau. Like many LOST guest stars, Francois had crossed paths with the LOST creators before on shows like Alias, and Nash Bridges, but in this case it wasn’t just a matter of having an in, Fancois was definitely the ONLY man for the job. A little over a year later, Candle and his alter ego Wickmund continue to embody one of LOST’s biggest mysteries: who is Dharma, and why do they lie so much? I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to interview Francois and get some insight on what it feels like to be a LOST icon, where the Marvin Candle story might be going, and more! WARNING: Some very minor spoilers ahead.
DocArzt: How did you get the part of Dr. Marvin Candle?
The audition notice was sent out to all the agencies. My agent scheduled a time for me to go in and read for it. I had known April webster, the casting director for years. She had cast me in a bunch of other projects. I went in , did my thing, and thankfully got the part.
Okay, Usually I’m pretty good with the gadgets, but last night I just could not get these suckers straightened out. So here are a couple of downloadable versions of the clips for tonight’s all new LOST. I can’t embed them because they are two big!
Get Jack! (High Resolution Version - 26mb)
