Kristin’s Latest LOST Spoilers
Okay… I’ve noted your complaints. You want spoilers! Heck, I even want spoilers! So I found some! On e!online! It was tough, but somehow I managed it. And just because I have no regard for copyrights, I’ll go ahead and share them with you right here. (But urge you to definitely check in with spoiler-babe Kristin at www.eonline.com)
Kristin says: This week on Lost, Maggie Grace (Shannon) returns, Sun goes all nutty fisticuffs and…someone is going to die. Someone I personally love. Someone I personally am sad to see go! But I worry I might be in the minority. Regardless, how this person dies is perhaps the most disturbing death I have ever heard of. Let’s just say I have one big monster of a phobia, and this death plays into that. Eeek! (And no, it is not "the monster.")
Doc says: Oh THANK you Kristin for validating my buried alive theory! Who cannot see right through her sad attempt at vagueness?
Kristin says: Well, it looks like you’ll get more action on Hurley’s…van. Producers are currently casting for a "Roger," a working-class janitor in his early forties who is bitter about his place in life but has higher aspirations. The notice says of the character, "He has troubled and complex relationship with his son; [he] finds himself caught up in a mysterious situation beyond his imaginings; [and the] actor must not be claustrophobic." Pretty sure this is the skeleton—"Roger Work Man"—from Hurley’s episode. (Ha!) Flashback fun times! (I see a beer run in our future.)
Doc says: Oooooo… everybody catch my rumor column earlier? Looks like that isn’t a rumor. Can I fuel a little more speculation here? The rest of the rumor I heard was that Horace and whatever which Secretagentman had reported were foiler names. The parts were really those of the young DeGroots! Woot! Dharma flashback coming up! Also seems like if we are seeing young DeGroots and Roger in the same episode that the flashbacks will cover a wide area of time. Maybe more appropriate for a two hour ep? Say maybe, the finale? Could it be Ben’s ep?

Couldn’t Kristin just as likely have a fear of spiders?

Nope! Buried alive! Fitting way for a scumbag to die!
Just kidding, but MARK MY WORD. (I’m sure I’ll regret all this self confidence… lol)

I’ve seen Kristin on TV..I think her biggest fear is being somewhere without her makeup. Does her Island favorite die of insufficient mascara?
Comment by El Prez — March 27, 2007 @ 5:27 am
So who would she be in the minority for liking? Kate? Charlie? Paulo/Nikki? Benry? Aside from Paulo/Nikki, I can’t think of anyone who there’s a general dislike for… (I love Benry’s character even if he’s an ass)
Does Kristen have an unnatural fear of supersonic fences? I can’t stand spiders, so I’ll go with that

To have a flashback to Dharma, they’ll need to find someone Dharma. There is work that they’ll be a couple new characters.. one being female, who is NOT an other. Could this be a Degroot? Explaining the flashback.. or possibly another long time Dharma person?
There are also rumors that another actor.. male, will be making an appearance ON the island before the season is over. Could this be Jacob? Or maybe.. this is the Dharma person.

Your buried alive theory, eh? Would that be the one you copied from DorkUFO’s site?
Comment by Eman — March 27, 2007 @ 6:51 am
Copied from DarkUFO? Let’s see the time stamped article when you go making allegations like that Eman…
Comment by docarzt — March 27, 2007 @ 7:18 am
OH! EMAN! I see it now… it’s right here: http://lostrumours.blogspot.com/2007/03/game-changer.html published on the 22nd… after mine was published… y’know I hate to say it but your right, I did travel forward a day in time on the 21st when I published my theory (based on screencaps from the trailer, guess you missed that part), saw the theory that was SUBMITTED to DarkUFO (So I really stole it from Nate and not Dark, but let’s not split hairs), traveled back in time, extracted all those screen caps and wrote my theory so it would SEEM like I was a day ahead! Damn I hate when I get caught like that. Last time I use time travel to steal a theory… especially with EMAN on the case…

Roger is a man with higher aspirations, huh? Like, say, leadership? Maybe when Roger becomes lost in the jungle (only to become a skeleton later found by Hurley & Co.), his son, Ben Linus, feels compelled to advance his own station in life?
My current theory, anyway. Roger can’t just be a throwaway character — he’s tied to the “big picture” somehow.
Comment by jenndavo — March 27, 2007 @ 7:26 am
You know, Ben has repeatedly said he has lived on the island “all of his life”…Not one mention of exact YEARS….I need to go back and watch the episode where Jack operated on the Spanish guy with the hot daughter..Any chance he had the same kind of tumor that Ben did? Meaning, if so, maybe it’s a tumor that strikes in a much older person??
Cap10 will jump on the slower age on the island bandwagon theory with me..
I agree with jenndavo that Roger’s not a throwaway character but Ben’s pops might be a stretch….maybe an uncle of one of the castaways??
Comment by El Prez — March 27, 2007 @ 8:11 am
In the last episode Ben said the he was born on the island and that not many of his people could claim that. So which of the others are MIttelos and which were born there? Any theories?
Comment by Charlie Lesoine — March 27, 2007 @ 8:29 am
After some over analytical research I’ve found that the portrait on Ben’s wall looks almost identical to Karen Degroot (it’s at least a better resemblance than to Juliet). If that is in fact Karen, then I’m theorizing that Ben is her son. That would make the others DHARMA. I have felt since the creepiness between Locke, Mikhail, and Rousseau that it was DHARMA who in fact purged the natives (other others).
I think Roger will be more of a Doc Arzt (the one in the show, not our homeboy) type character. That is someone who is part of the discussion but not overly important to the story.
Mr. Prez, I’m totally with you on time (or at least aging) moving slower. We’ve seen hints of this with the 70 year old womb (and you know they’ll have to explain Walt’s growth this way). I do believe it is only on that one particular island though (perhaps having something to do with the old swan hatch). Maybe the closer you are to that magnetic energy (swan hatch), the slower time/aging moves. If you think about the name “the swan” it might indicate that it was a DHARMA experiment in remainin forever young.
On the Ben tip, he has said both that he was, “Born on the island,” and “has lived here most of his life.” The word “most” indicates that he has left at some point. Maybe he was a rebelious little Degroot, or maybe he was sent to some sort of school to better prepare him for his future task.
Thoughts???

i think that paulo is going to die. he’s definitely in the minority since he’s such a douche bag. kristin is probably only sad to see him go because she thinks he’s attractive.
Comment by alaina — March 27, 2007 @ 10:43 am
paulo could drown, thats a bad death n kristen wouldnt like it

I just want to know one thing… where the heck is Richard Lennox?
Comment by docarzt — March 27, 2007 @ 12:51 pm
Another spoiler site says that Paulo WILL BE SHOT IN THE HEAD. I like the theory that Nikki is buried alive (thought dead from the spider bite - remember, Jack’s not around to provide any diagnonsense), and that perhaps a distraught Paulo shoots himself. But, the idea that Paulo will be murdered is favorable as well.
Comment by Jenn — March 27, 2007 @ 1:37 pm
I’m starting to believe the theory that the others are Dharma… Tom Friendly made a comment when Sawyer was in the cage at the Hydra station and said “… it only took the bears 10 minutes” or something like that.
But then again, Mikhail admitted that the only thing he had lied about was that he had been a member of the Dharma initiative, which would mean that they are NOT Dharma…
Comment by johobi — March 27, 2007 @ 2:25 pm
Yes johobi, but do we really believe anything that DHARMA says?
Comment by cap10tripps — March 27, 2007 @ 2:34 pm
Cap & Prez: I agree with you guys about time moving slower. But about Ben being the son of the Degroots, since he was born on the Island that puts his birth a couple years at the least After 1970 (When Dharma was founded then they had to find funding). That would make Ben 32 at the oldest and he seems kinda older than that so I don’t think he is their son. I like the idea that he is a descendant of pirates and prostitutes from the Black Rock ship. I picture him being about six or seven when the Dharma initiative showed up on the island. A season finale with a flashback to little kid Ben would really give the audience some perspective on his character. What do you guys think?
Comment by Charlie Lesoine — March 27, 2007 @ 3:03 pm
You’re right about the age thing. I like the descendant from the black rock idea. Perhaps he’s a descendant of Magnus Hanso? He may have been adopted by the Degroots in the same vein as he “adopts” the children. It would go a long way in explaining why he heads this operation. Perhaps Alvar is his grandpa or uncle (or some other relation). That would make it easy for them to convince young Ben that they are the “good guys…”
Comment by cap10tripps — March 27, 2007 @ 4:05 pm
Alternately, if time flowed twice as fast on the island before the installation of the swan station and after it’s destruction Ben could be The Degroots son. It could have gone like this: Ben is born on the island in 1972. He ages twice as fast for 8 years (acutally 16 island years) until 1980 when the Swan is built to regulate the magnetic anomaly so that time on the island will be in sync with the rest of the world allowing for communication with the outside world. After that point Ben aged regularly for 24 years making him only 32 earth years old but 40 island years. But if he is the Degroots son then who is Jacob?
Comment by Charlie Lesoine — March 27, 2007 @ 5:20 pm
she has…..
fear of dying
Comment by greg — March 27, 2007 @ 5:37 pm
My personal theory is that Jacob is not a physical character but rather The Others’ version of Jesus Christ.
Comment by Dusk — March 27, 2007 @ 5:39 pm
argh! I think Nikki bites the dust from what I’ve seen of the Expose pics and clips out there. She’s running out in the jungle and then digs for a minute and then emerges out into the bushes to see Sawyer and Hurley playing ping-pong and falls down on the sand (apparently from exhaustion) and then dies. There’s a split second in the clips that shows a girl’s legs (presumably Nikki’s) as its being buried in the sand.
Comment by Huygens — March 28, 2007 @ 5:43 am
Chuck, i like ur idea, but i dont think jacob and the degroots son(if they have one) are the same person, and that would explain why ben is their son and their is a jacob too…

Jacob is a person in the bible, (I only know this from shakespeare, and Shylocks story about the usage of interest and jacobs way of making sheep become striped; Jacob is a sheperd,).

Jack Shephard
There’s my theory…
Comment by cap10tripps — March 28, 2007 @ 9:40 am
maybe jack’s father was “drugged” by one of these spiders and thats why the coffin is empty when jack finds it in the caves? is it at all possible that it was a ploy to get jack to go to the island? somebody help me out with this theory…
Comment by cleveland jonah — March 28, 2007 @ 1:45 pm
i HIGHLY doubt nicki is the one dying because on another spoiler site it was talking about how one character is going to be bit by a spider and then APPEAR to be dead, so i’m thinking that’s what’s going to happen to her. i hope paulo dies. yes.
Comment by alaina — March 28, 2007 @ 2:03 pm
Maybe a giant space ship crashed on the island years ago and was buried underground and Dharma was sent out to invistigate. That might explain all the hatches, they’re just sectors of the ship that are hidden underground.
Comment by Dave — March 29, 2007 @ 12:06 pm
I kinda like the Black Rock theory myself. People stranded on island after the ship wreck discover its power and secretly contact the wealthy Hansos to make it a haven of rejuvenation. Over time, Dharma is brought in to expand on the project, conflict develops between the groups, a science vs. faith sort of thing and the Others purge the place, take over the equipment and so forth. We know Ben punched in the numbers when Locke was caught under the door otherwise the place would have blown up. So he knew about the place, heck, from Exposé we saw he would use the Pearl station to spy on the beachies inside the Swan station. What really needs to be explained is why he got sick in the first place. Also would like to know why they needed Claire’s baby and were planning to raise it comfortably on the medical station.
