Spoiler! Galaga revealed and much much more!
The others ’sub’ has become something of legend lately. Sort of like the inside of the hatch, everybody wants to see what this thing called ‘Galaga’ looks like. Thanks to Hawaii’s active tourism industry, the wait is now over, from one vantage point at least! Rave at thefuselage posted a bunch of pictures, one of which shows the Galaga which I will add in below. For the rest visit the post!

What no Darhma Sticker on it?

Funny thing, I have not been eager to see this sub. I mean even if they see it and get inside are they just going to sail away on it? If they have any luck that they did with boats I doubt it. The Losties have had 2 boats and a raft in their possesion and got no where.

Locke is going to blow it up next week. He doesnt want anyone getting off the island. He doesnt want to be rescued. What do you think the C4 was for?
Comment by Drew — March 15, 2007 @ 7:40 pm
Yeah i’d have to agree with Drew, we’ve already seen the sub’s hatch and ladder, very nice shot btw, and we saw “something” blowing up by a dock, not to mention as Drew noted before “What do you think the C4 was for?” so lets figure we’ll get to spend even less time with the sub than with Mikhail. But really i love Locke so, GO LOCKE!! Next thing you know he’ll blow the whole island up causing a chain reaction that blow up the entire universe!! of course the episode after that would prolly be “boring” so i’d be complaining here first thing!!

Terrorists were not responsible for 911. The World Trade Centre turned down John Locke for employment and look what happened.
Comment by Dusk — March 15, 2007 @ 9:17 pm
Locke is a toy. The island’s toy.
Because the island restored his ability to walk, Locke erroneously assumes that it is a benevolent power and has his best interests in mind.
Poor Mr. Eko’s fate revealed quite the opposite.
Comment by Max — March 16, 2007 @ 12:07 am
locke is the man, he is like solid snake, eko story wasnt as good, desmond should take the others on, loche should blow up the other camp who agree’s?
Comment by Gerry — March 16, 2007 @ 3:44 am
Awsome! looks like somthing out of Gerry Anderson’s ‘Stingray’! maybe thats the whole si-fi 60’s look theyve gone for?
Sorry if this has been brought up already, but in the last ep did anyone notice that Charile still had the note in his had when Claire let the bird free?

Blowing up the sub will screw up the others for sure. Communications are down, the underwater beacon is down, they still have the boats, but without the sub they will be almost completely isolated from the outside world. At this point Penny seems to be the only person that can find the island.
Comment by ed — March 16, 2007 @ 6:00 am
there needs to be a reason for why he wants to blow all this stuff up and why he was so quick to kill patchy…he must have seen/ready something in the flame that we don’t know yet prompting him to go all crazy terrorist…

Here’s a random question: Is Mittelos part of the Dharma initiative? If so, was Ethan a Dharma member (he appraoched Juliet with R.Alpert in “Not in Portland”) OR is he an Other?
Comment by Sbujero — March 16, 2007 @ 6:20 am
Max, you are right!
Locke IS a the islands Toy.. the Island is his God… and Locke is doing it’s work. He doesn’t realize it, but he’s stated numerous times that he has faith in the Island.
I have a feeling that the “island” is BAD and likely who the others are fighting. It’s quite possible that the island uses ‘flaws’ such as anger to gain influence.. which could be why the ‘others’ have a ‘list’ of ‘good ones’.
Comment by Tom — March 16, 2007 @ 7:28 am
No One said that Mittelos was Dharma, we assumed that.
Comment by Tom — March 16, 2007 @ 7:29 am
One more theory.. smokey kills people who are ‘not’ flawed. Think about it.. once Eko resolved his flaws… the ‘island’ no longer had use for him…. and he was killed before the ‘others’ could add him to their ranks.
Comment by Tom — March 16, 2007 @ 7:31 am
In a way, for Locke, the island is the walkabout of his life. Over there he is important, useful, skillful and he can also walk again, why would he want to leave such place? Maybe he is some kind of sleeper agent like the cyclons on battlestar galactica, but I doubt it.
But now all the losties can potentially know the location of the other’s ville, so they could invade the place all at the same time. I wonder if the others would have the resources to contain a mass invasion like that.

DocArzt, no offense or anything, but I believe that the fact the sub has a name is a spoiler, as it has not been referenced in the show. Please take care to not put spoiler info in the pre-jump section of your posts.
Comment by sunnysider — March 16, 2007 @ 8:40 am
Sunny… it has been mentioned in the show. I’m safe.
Comment by docarzt — March 16, 2007 @ 8:41 am
reminds me of the sub ride at Disneyland, but maybe that’s just me
Comment by Adrian — March 16, 2007 @ 8:43 am
10,000 leugues under the sea? Not the first time Lost had references to that.
Comment by capn jp — March 16, 2007 @ 10:26 am
Hey Doc!
I heard that the Galaga has a sub captain by the name of Marko Ramius. It’s said that Ramius defected from the Soviet Union, roughly around 1984.
Here’s another reference to George Orwell’s 1984, which has always been eluded to as an undertone of the story.
Comment by El Prez — March 16, 2007 @ 11:21 am
I also heard that the Galaga is so named because, just like the video game, it only travels east and west.
Comment by El Prez — March 16, 2007 @ 11:23 am
I bet Locke killed Patchy because he didn’t want everyone to know that he used to be paralized. But then I’m a Locke hater so I wouldn’t really be looking for the best in him.
Comment by TrillianM — March 16, 2007 @ 11:48 am
It may be that the Locke who emerged from the flame is smokey.
Comment by blargness — March 16, 2007 @ 2:01 pm
I think the intent on closing communications, in Lockes view is rather simple. If a battle between the groups is imminent, all access to the outside must be stopped. This will prevent calls for reinforcements, or escape by the others or any other interference by Dharma. This will lead to a final battle of groups, and test each groups will to survive.
Comment by dcstealth — March 16, 2007 @ 2:08 pm
“will to survive”??? Like Eye of the Tiger?? Are you saying that their battle will be of Rocky-like proportions??
Comment by El Prez — March 16, 2007 @ 2:48 pm
You can only gain independance by confronting an oppressor. And one with “back up” can not be dealt with on an even field. So in a way yes, I see a final confrontation between the groups, but at a primal level. Neither will have the modern tools of battle and technology currently available to the others, and at times acquired for use by the survivors.

3 seasons of Lost has built up so much excitement in me that the only way I can be satisfied with the ending is if the finale is 7 hours long and features Losties, Others, Dharma people, demons, ghosts and wizards having a midair psychic battle while riding fully armored polar bears that are in turn being held aloft by little baby smokeys which are shooting lasers down at Desmond whos on the beach, swinging his fists and glowing orange like Leroy in “the Last Dragon” as he powers up to start shooting temporal disruption beams at Locke, who is now 40 feet tall, has 4 toes/fingers, is wearing a suit of living stone armor provided to him by the island, and is swinging two Dharma tagged sharks around like nunchaku while shoveling kidnapped children into his mouth to keep his scary mojo risin’.
I mean, obviously this is where the show is headed.
Comment by Jimmy Zer0 — March 16, 2007 @ 9:30 pm
I agree with odbypa. I’ve been thinkin on this one since “Enter 77.” Locke says, “I know why you didn’t want me to enter the code,” to Mikhail. Mikhail gives him a funny look then, BOOM! I believe Locke saw something after entering 77 that the audience is not aware of yet. He has been a bit more in touch with his dark side since then. He wanted Mikhail dead, he blew up the flame willingly, now he’s comin for Ben. He doesn’t want to kill Ben, but he wants in on the secrets (and I think Ben wants to let him in)…

Hey Jimmy Zer0… Who is your masta!?
Comment by cap10tripps — March 16, 2007 @ 10:49 pm
I want to say Sho-nuff, but I’m halfway through the 24 season 3 box set, so I’m gonna have to go with Jack Bauer.
No contest. If they fought, Sho-nuff wouldn’t get the chance to pose or talk even a little ridiculous smack before Jack shoots him in the thigh, runs over and jams BOTH thumbs in the bullethole, then headbutts him so hard that his neck breaks, reset itselfs, then breaks again.
In fact, this whole “island” dilemmia could be solved in about 24 hours if Jack Bauer just showed up at the Losties’ camp one day. A few bullet-wound probes, a couple hundred broken Hostile(?) necks, and several completely unrealistic life-or-death choices, and BAM- It’s all good XD
Comment by Jimmy Zer0 — March 17, 2007 @ 1:28 am
Who is Jack Bauer? what is this 24?
Comment by eshop600 — March 17, 2007 @ 2:25 am
After further review it looks as if Locke is mostly there for the sub (although you know he wants some answers). That leads me to believe he is really going all out on making sure his buddy (the island) is not found. That furthers my belief that he saw something in the flame that perhaps made him think the island was speaking to him again…
Comment by cap10tripps — March 17, 2007 @ 7:34 am
I also found it interesting that destroying the flame did not destroy the perimeter fence or it’s power source, and that they CHOSE not to destroy it. (rather they went over it)
This leaves it intact, for a future fortification.
Comment by dcstealth — March 17, 2007 @ 8:43 am
also, if sayid and the crew were able to stand that close to the pylons when they killed Mikhail, and there was such a delay between the pylon activating, Mikhail saying “Thank you” and the device actuall killing mikhail, then why not just run right through and keep on running down the hill?
And, Im almost certain that when Kate checks on Mikhail, hes still breathing. I watched it twice and it sure looks that way, particularly right before the the camera jumps from kate. I could be wrong, but I wouldnt have said anything if i wasnt pretty damn certain. But i dunno, it could just be a blooper.

ha.. jimmy.. yeah.. he wasn’t ACTUALLY dead..lol.. some bad acting but not dead.. ha..
Comment by andy — March 18, 2007 @ 7:27 pm
Maybe I’m wrong here, but I just went back and looked at the beginning of “Tricia Tanaka is Dead” and there appeared to be only 4 graves. Weren’t there more graves in the little cemetary last season? Did Desmond save some of the other survivors as well?
