Unlike many, I’m always excited when they add new characters into the mix. This has been my most anticipated episode of the season.
This is gonna be so freakin cool.

Haha, i’ll never be able to look at Paulo the same way again after seeing “300″ maybe if they made him 8″9 in LOST I might like his character more lol.

Rodrigo said they were tail section survivros in an interview i believe. But I doubt thats’ what they actually are.

If Rodrigo said that, he was mistaken.
That photo #4 looked like Alex to me too, but she looks way too cleaned up. It looks more like a publicity photo than a pic from an actual episode.
I’m hoping, but not too optimistic, to possibly see Rose, Bernard, Eko, Libby or Ana Lucia in this episode.

I am amazed in how clean their clothes are at this point! Kenmore must have a tent down the beach…and marble showers are surely behind the palm trees behind claire’s lean too…….
CBS’s Survivors need to get a better agent and demand they get the beach on LOST!!!

If I am ever going to accept Niki and Paulo, then this will likely be the episode that makes me… from the looks of it. One thing I am worried about…
The flashback obviously revisits the initial crash. Does anyone know if that set was maintained at all? Much of it was actual physical construction, rather than CGI. I doubt ABC would now pull for the episode budget required to accurately recreate the same scenery as the season 1 pilot
For continuity’s sake, and overall authenticity, I REALLY hope they don’t just “avoid the camera angles that would show the main fuselage” or something like that. At least recycle some footage digitally.. or SOMETHING!

thirdflr… amazingly, people did do laundry WAY before washing machines. If they have fresh water, and some DHARMA detergent
they’re set.
What I find amazing is that they never moved camp closer to the hatch, so that all the perishable food and supplies could be stored safely indoors, away from the elements. They would have been closer to showers. Closer to recreational options. AND closer to… SAFE SHELTER, protected from all the unpleasant stuff on the island. I mean, they could have left some signal on the beach, and had rotation to check/maintain it.
What foresight… Now, even AFTER the hatch explodes, they are still fully stocked. Heck, I’d live there. Except for cerberus and the pesky hostiles.
But I’m just being picky.

Apparently this whole episode is centered around Paulo and Nikki cos theres going to be a big reveal about thier lives being linked to the island or the others in some way looking at these photos im thinking that reveal has something to do with Ethan he seems quite buddy buddy with them! and seem to be talking to them alone in one pic could it be that he got them to do something for him unknowingly would be cool if Ethan has done something that has put something into effect in the present by something revealed in the past be sort of like coming bk from beyond the grave!

Where the heck have Bernard and Rose gone?>??? Maybe this episode will show them too since it seems to show the scene where the “Quarantine” hatch door lands on the beach, but I don’t see Bernard and I could have sworn that he was standing right next to Claire who i can clearly see. Maybe Desmond somehow made them not be on the island with his time travel abilities. Anyone got any answers about Rose and Bernard??

Apparently we are going to live thru seasons 1 & 2 (the crash, the blast…) of Nikki and Paulo in 42 minutes or less! I see several things here:
Nikki - apparently did not lose her suitcase as she has 4 different outfits on in these pictures. (the red bikini top is completely fresh and clean, see I told you Kenmores tent was down the beach! And looks darn good on her too!)
Her bloodied elbow has healed up very nicely.
Meanwhile Paulo has seems to have found a blow dryer. (Sawyer’s hair keeps growing then cut but never Sassooned!!!) The outhouse behind Paulo is indeed proof of the showers complete with florencent lighting (gives off blue color as opposed to fire (which is yellow))
Paulo appears to have found some pills or maybe vaccine.
And someone seems to be very facinated by catapillars!

The question is whether or not Niki and Paulo came from the first class section of the plane, where Kate, Jack and Charlie went after the tranciever. I need to pull out season 1 and see where Jack got his information that the cockpit and the front of the plane were in the jungle…Didn’t Charlie run up to first class and buckle in as soon as the plane went down?
I think this is logical: Season 1 the fuselage on the beach. Season 2, the Tail section in the water. Season 3, the front of the plane.

Sometimes I wonder if people are paying attention. LOL.
Has everyone forgotten that there was a washer and dryer in the hatch. For a period of time at least, everyone could have done laundry and had clean clothes.
Also, just because someone is wearing different clothing, doesn’t mean that it originally belonged to them. It’s a plane crash people…probably tons of dead folks luggage kicking around.

Rain, I am half joking but really I know the hatch had a W/D but the core (Jack Sawyer, Locke, Kate, Hurly, Ecko…) did not allow everyone to hatch. But with some 30 people showers, blow dryers, and w/d would be nonstop….at least in my house of 4 it seems that way!
Ah but the blue light in the outhouse IS puzzling…
maybe Sayid tapped into that big power cable….found some florencent tubes that didn’t get blown up in the hatch and rigged a light…..yeah that’s it.

I don’t see any blue light in any of the pics. I only see a few shots where light is reflecting off pieces of the fuselage…

Niki is screaming, holding her ears. looks like during the time the sky turned purple. WHY? Nobody else is reacting like that. What’s in her hand in the last pic? A black bag? What’s in it? Could it be those black and white rocks we found with adam and eve skeletons in season 1?

Lost media has a bigger picture and it looks like Niki is holding a black velvet pouch..I say velevet because it’s so dark…Not the faded pouch that Jack found on adam and Eve with the rocks in it..
Are Paulo and Niki diamond smugglers??????? Maybe they are burying their booty before Sawyer finds it…or worse, they took all the rings off the dead people….that’s just wrong…

If the bag was faded, then could it have been darker at one time? Perhaps during the original loop the bag is buried and then uncovered later (maybe by Jack, or maybe Nicki and Paolo are Adam and Eve). Just throwin it out there…

This is being played up as a huge ‘game-changing’ episode, where Nikki and Paulo become, in the words of Lindelof and Cuse ‘iconic characters’ on the show.
The only way I could see this happening would be if they were Others, working against the Losties from Day 1. I don’t know if we’ll see them on the plane, or just after the crash.
If it was after the crash, why were they over that far away from Otherville?
If they were on the plane, how could they be counted upon to be alive and able to infiltrate the Losties camp successfully?
This could lead to a whole other idea that the crash wasn’t really a crash, more of a placement. It could go anywhere from here, so I’ll stop.
If Nikki and Paulo are Others, or working with the Others, it will change the whole game immensely. But if they’re not, I’m not sure what else could live up to this kind of hype.

DUDE… At first I thought Nikki either died or is imaginary because there’s a shot of Paulo at a gravesite, then there’s a few shots that are from the Pilot, but Nikki is placed in the background, as if Paulo is imagining it or something…
BUT, now I realize they’re just recapping the Pilot as if paulo and Nikki are there. Interesting. We might get to see alot of the conversation and stories that took place behind-the-scenes during Seasons 1 & 2. It’s even more interesting to see all of the other characters that have died.

I know I’m somewhat off topic here but I just had to tell this. I was on another site viewing new topics. One of them was “New Katie and Tom Pics”. I don’t much care for them but I clicked on it anyway. Well I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw our Ethan sitting with them and the baby. Now I know that “Ethan” and Tom are real life cousins but it just creeped me out. Especially with Katie holding the baby and having seen the past Lost episodes. Everytime I see Ethan’s face I get chills and that is from just 2 episoded in Season 1. Oaky, you guys are the only ones I can tell this story to that will get it. LOL!

Here is my theory. When Desmond went back in time, he changed something that caused a chain reaction of events to happen so that Bernard and Rose did not get on flight 815. They were in fact replaced by Nikki and Paulo!

Did anyone notice that not only Boone’s hair is longer than it should be, but TOURNIQUET MAN HAS A BEARD? He was almost clean-shaven in the Pilot (like, not shaved for 1-2 days max), but here all of a sudden he clearly has a carefully trimmed beard. You can tell it’s supposed to be Tourniquet Man not only because Locke is carrying him, but also because he’s wearing the same shirt with those palm patterns on it. But the beard is totally off. Is that even Dale Radomski?
For those who asked about the fuselage set: The plane wreck is stored at Dillingham Airfield together with the Beechcraft. So they will have the set back for this episode. All they’d have to do would be avoid angles that show characters whose actors weren’t available for this episode (Michael, Rose).

SPOILER ALERT:
at least I hope it is. Just going by the screen caps, this is what people are saying.
Its going to come out via season 1-esque flashbacks that paulo and nikki were working with ethan and therefor the others.
The promo says someone will die and I believe this is nikki judging by the pic with paulo on his knees in front of something praying to jesus.
She is looking for some diamonds and they go swimming but paulo hides it from her. Finally when she gets the diamonds she hides them in the woods but sawyer figures out something is going on. In return for information and help, ethan lets them have the diamonds.
They help by killing the other person (cant remember his name, brian maybe?) while ethan and the losties are in the woods. This would tie up one big lose end about the first season. I also believe paulo is the one to do this since nikki might have trouble taking on a grown man.
This is entirely put together just by evidence from promos and sneak peaks. Basically, the writers created paulo and nikki as characters that you LOVE to hate, since they couldnt really seem to drum up any support for them and everyone just bitched about them becoming main characters. These two are traitors and at least one of them is going to die.
I actually believe nikki will be buried alive after the spider bite.
