I just LOVE that line from Tom.
Tom: *knocks on the window* See this glass house you’re in Jack? How about I get you some stones?

i very rarely react very negatively to an episode of any TV show because, well, they’re tv shows…but wow, tonight was weak.
that being said. it maybe have been the weakest episode in the show’s run, but it followed two of the strongest. i can’t understand how anyone can be negative about the overall direction of the show at this point thanks to the strength of 3.7 and 3.8. Anyway, I’m currently convinced of the following things:
–Some people are too rigid in their expectations (i’m guilty of this, just not with LOST, I can’t stand the new Arcade Fire album, not because it isn’t good, but because it’s so different from the last one). Much of the negativity aimed at LOST tends to stem from people being unhappy that their favorite character didn’t appear, or what they thought should happen didn’t happen.
–Kim and Sarnoff should not be allowed within 100 yards of the LOST writing room.
–lost’s haters love it when a weak episode airs because it gives them a strong case and a sense of vindication (because everyone apparently forgets that lost is a TV SHOW, and that there has never been a perfect televsion series).
–the internet is the single worst thing to happen to television. if I have the willpower, I will never visit another television website again. over-analysis and hyper-criticism really have started to rip the fun out of it for me. especially since so many people seem gleeful that LOST is ’struggling.’ it’s kind of like how it must have felt to be an Elvis fan before the comeback…

Not every episode is a powerhouse. I too am tired of seeing jack, kate and sawyer every episode…but let’s be honest-It is still one of the greatest shows ever and the actors are still brilliant. as Fedde Le Grand said…”Put your hands up!!”

Overall this was not one of their better episodes, but I think it served two things that will heighten the overall story…
1. Jack is a much stronger character now
2. The quote “he walks amongst us but he is not one of us” confirms my belief that Jack was not supposed to be on that plane, and Desmond orchestrated him doing so.

I liked it. Personally, I thought it was better than Flashes. Someone else had to like it.
We finally got (at least a little) resolution to the Hydra island story, even if it did bring up a number of other questions like “What work are they doing there?” We learned a heck of alot about the Others. They have a functional legal system giving Ben an executive branch power to commute sentences. Ethan was a surgeon. They don’t watch “The Brady Bunch.” Etc… The moments with Karl provided alot of tidbits.
Sawyer was back to his witty pop-culture reference dropping self. A new tension was introduced in a very vocal way between Sawyer and Kate. I feel like we’re finally approaching the flow LOST had in the 1st and 2nd seasons.
But most of all, the pseudo resolution of the Hydra island plot allows us to start exploring the island rather than the inner psyche of the others. Don’t get me wrong, I love learning about their relationships with each other and the island, but I am 100 times more eager to learn about the island. At worst, this episode is the perfect transition to begin Locke’s quest to “look to the North.” At best, and in my opinion, it was second best only to Not in Portland.

Okay, I got excited. There is a caveat to what I said. The flashbacks could have been better. But for island events, I still feel it was on of the best.

That was an awful episode. And the torturing part is that I strained myself into watching it just in case they revealed somthing of importance in the final minutes.
But oh no.
This episode was bad. It should be placed as a reference to the dictionary word lousy.

I must have watched a different show. I thought the ending was very well done.

Ok… Lost has it’s moments, but as soon as the show was done last night, my Lost buddy and I both looked at each other and said, “Set up for the next show.” What we meant by this is, it was just a set up for the next show, a precursor if you may. Lost is notorious for this, at least in my own eyes.
There are alot of “slow” episodes in the past seasons, and I’m getting used to it… I almost like the slow ones, because they end up being “big” later on in the show.
So, just hold tight, I’m sure Lost will overcome it’s “weak” episode, and sock you in the mouth, like it always does.

OK, the episode was indeed weak… I for one, felt like i was being dragged through Jacks flash back, it was a mess, up until the end of the flash back, where it became a sloppy mess. I mean, come on, she can “see who people arE”? please… and what did she tell him? s*** we all ready know, “Your a leader” and blah blah blah… nothing good… then he demands her to ink him up? cmonnn… just seemed out of place. But I did enjoy, as I always do, scences between Jack and Ben, it’s just great to watch them feel eachother out. I’m starting to like Tom more too. I stll like where the show is going, it was just a weak epi, so let’s move on, and hope that Locke and the rest can help answer some more questions.

Question… When the little girl whispers to Cindy, she then relays it to Jack in the cage… then Jack freaks out. But what does Cindy say? I’ve re-watched the scene a few times, but I can’t for the life of me seem to hear what she says. Can anyone help? Thanks…
